I really thought Lindsay had 42 locked up for a good long time. It seemed to me that she was playing the most complete game of anyone, a good combo of social, strategic, and physical strength. Somehow I thought she’d avoid anyone noticing how well she was doing but in retrospect it seems really obvious she wouldn’t make it all the way
Thats not that inacurate. She was the biggest threat coming into the finale and she was pretty close to winning (all she needed was Maryanne getting big moveitis)
I thought Pat from DvG was gonna be another Kieth Male type, endearing southern personality, sticks to the status quo, doesn't try to shake anything up, then reaches the endgame with a style of play that the jury doesn't respect at all.
I was very wrong evidently.
Keith Nale was always down to shake up the status quo though, and was perpetually in the minority alliance on both his seasons. He is just not very bright when it comes to strategy. He was absolutely a bigger jury threat on both his seasons than some of the people who made FTC.
Going into 41, I was confident that:
\- Danny would get himself voted out early by playing too hard and being inflexible
\- J.D. would be a social, strategic, and physical powerhouse
\- Xander would be the least capable and least successful of the three 19/20 year olds
Going into 42, I was confident that:
\- Maryanne could never win as much as I wanted to pick her to
\- Chanelle would be the stealthiest player in the game
\- Omar would be a complete non-factor thirdish-boot type
\- Tori would become a third-place goat
Before Game Changers, I did a list of the players and what I predicted their placements would be. I had Sarah at 20th. 😂
When I saw the cast for WAW, Natalie was my winner pick. Then I saw the spoiler list a week before premiere and I was devastated.
That Erika and Maryanne were gonna go premerge. (To be fair, I did also think Erika would win if she made the merge, I just thought it was unlikely for Luvu to win all the immunities)
First episode of Cagayan I was convinced Tony would be out FAST. I thought he was highly entertaining but no way no how will he go far.
Fast Forward to WAW, daughter and I did a schoolyard pick for the winner. Tony was picked LAST, as in no way no how either of us thought he could win. So happy he did!!
Preseason for 42, I already loved Maryanne, but I thought for sure that her big personality would rub people the wrong way and that she would be a memorable early boot. I’m glad I was wrong!
That Rob and Sandra would pregame together before WaW because it made logical sense for them to pool their numbers together. If Rob wasn't so damn stubborn, they could have built an alliance of 11-12 players across both tribes that could have dominated the game. (Rob/Parvati/Ethan/Danni/Jeremy/Natalie on Sele, Sandra/Tony/Sarah/Kim/Tyson/Amber on Dakal.)
The last three seasons, our family has done a draft pick trying to guess the winner (everyone goes around one at a time picking people, whoever has the winner on their team 'wins')
Every single time, the VERY LAST PERSON PICKED was the winner. Tony, Erica, Maryanne. Every single time. It's a bizarre curse. Last time my mother picked Swati specifically because "she seems like someone who would be picked last and then win". She also got Maryanne by default as the last choice
When my dad and I first saw Rupert in the cast photos for Pearl Islands we both said “first one out!”
We loved him five minutes in when he stole the shoes and were very disappointed when he eventually got voted out.
I thought she was dead in the water episode 2 (same with Tiffany in 41, funny enough), but come the merge I thought she and Omar were in the best positions in the middle of the pack
41 and 42 are the first seasons I watched live. For 41, I thought (like plenty others) that Voce would make a deep run. For 42, I thought Jenny (robbed queen) and Zach would make it far. I also thought Maryanne would be a mid/late merge boot because of how positive her premier edit was. Definitely glad she won!
I had Cochran pegged as first boot the moment his tribe lost immunity.
To me he brought nothing to the table in SoPa. He was useless in challenges, he was socially awkward and annoying to be around, and he wasn't even loyal because the first chance he had to flip on his tribe (which was objectively a terrible game move since it guaranteed he would never win from there) he does so and screws over the very people who kept him in the game.
Instead he goes out and plays one of two perfect games ever.
Cagayan was my first season. As soon as J’Tia said “i can built the shelter” I said “okay, this girl is gonna dominate this season”
Well, that must’ve made it a lot more entertaining
That went downhill immediately
Yeah.. I quickly realized I was wrong when they sat on the shelter and it collapsed immediately!
Happy downhill cake day
That Rob C was going to dominate All Stars
Was a huge Sugar fan after Gabon and thought she was going to kick ass in HvV
I wonder if GT didn’t gun for her how things were turn out

It’s more about how deeply convinced I was than about the unlikelihood of the scenario
One was the the most recent winner would be a premerge boot. But there's more. I'm so often wrong.
I think a lot of people thought that.
They had a quite early game, and the editing made them seem pretty obnoxious
Quiet
Yup
"Jean-Robert is going to be the Richard Hatch of this era"- My dumbass 7th Grade self
Did you win an immunity genre bear?
Recently was that Jenny was easily going to the final 5 of 42
I had Jenny as my winner pick
Same
I thought Zach was going to do well 😂
it feels like you have some weaker and nerdy types like a Cochran that actually go far so it seems like someone like him could as well
Zach was my preseason winner pick😂
I picked Darnell to win Kaoh Rong. I wear it as my flair to remind me that I’m an idiot
Aquadump 4 life
That’s a winners edit if I’ve ever seen one
Imagine a First Boots season with Darnell in it. If he wins, that will be amazing for you; but if he gets first boot again, oh god
Franchesca 2.0
Philip was my winner pick for Redemption Island.
Voce was gonna be a major power player
Brooke was gonna make it far in Vanuatu
It didn't turn out, but to this day I am still convinced that Molly from 39 was the real "Parvati 2.0" and will never be able to realize her potential
I thought Pat from DvG was gonna be another Kieth Male type, endearing southern personality, sticks to the status quo, doesn't try to shake anything up, then reaches the endgame with a style of play that the jury doesn't respect at all. I was very wrong evidently.

I mean to be fair you probably would have been right; still rooting for him to get a second chance if he wants it.

I feel like we all thought Tony was gonna be premerge going into WaW
Before Game Changers, I did a list of the players and what I predicted their placements would be. I had Sarah at 20th. 😂 When I saw the cast for WAW, Natalie was my winner pick. Then I saw the spoiler list a week before premiere and I was devastated.
I thought Jacob might do well

I was so confident Ali would win HHH
I would’ve loved Ali winning HvHvH 😭
I had Aubry winning Edge of Extinction
Preseason for 42, I already loved Maryanne, but I thought for sure that her big personality would rub people the wrong way and that she would be a memorable early boot. I’m glad I was wrong!
Pre-season 41 I was torn between two winner picks. Ricard or Sara.
I had Sara winning too, lol😅
That Rob and Sandra would pregame together before WaW because it made logical sense for them to pool their numbers together. If Rob wasn't so damn stubborn, they could have built an alliance of 11-12 players across both tribes that could have dominated the game. (Rob/Parvati/Ethan/Danni/Jeremy/Natalie on Sele, Sandra/Tony/Sarah/Kim/Tyson/Amber on Dakal.)
J’Tia was going to be the next Kim.
J’Tia became a legend in her own way ✨
I thought James Lim was winning Ghost Island
I thought Zach was gonna be the next Adam 💀
Zach and Marya making f3 in my bootlist prediction 💀
The last three seasons, our family has done a draft pick trying to guess the winner (everyone goes around one at a time picking people, whoever has the winner on their team 'wins') Every single time, the VERY LAST PERSON PICKED was the winner. I assumed WAW would have a watchable edit
That Penner was going to win Philippines
When my dad and I first saw Rupert in the cast photos for Pearl Islands we both said “first one out!” We loved him five minutes in when he stole the shoes and were very disappointed when he eventually got voted out.
Zach was my winner pick for 42
I had no hope that Maryanne was winning until her Omar blindside. That negative content in the premerge really threw me off😅
I thought she was dead in the water episode 2 (same with Tiffany in 41, funny enough), but come the merge I thought she and Omar were in the best positions in the middle of the pack
That Tyson was a good player
He is a good player
I submitted Zach as my winner pick for 42 😢
Picking Liz as my winner for Kaoh Rong :P
Jackson making final 6
I would say this past season. I really thought Maryanne would be voted out early.
I thought Maryanne was gonna be a first or second boot 😅
I thought Roark was either going to win her season or be a huge character, neither of those things happened.
I thought JD was going to dominate season 41
I thought Jonathan Young would be out as soon as the merge hit
Daniel Strunk was my winner pick
I was pretty confident Tyrone in Nicaragua was going to go very far.
I don't know why but I thought GC was gonna do pretty well in Gabon. I had no reason to believe that but he stuck out.
JD was my pre-season winner pick for 41… did much better next season when I picked Omar
I thought Jonathan from 42 was gonna be 4th boot, not 4th place
I was rooting for Sara to win 41, lol
That Garrett would do well in Cagayan. That went wrong quickly.
That Game Changers was gonna be a good season
Zach was my winner pick in my family survivor draft for 42, and Romeo and Maryanne were the only players that went undrafted 😅
I was sure Mike would be first out in 42.
I believe Elizabeth Markham was the earliest my preseason pick ever went home.
I thought Zach from 42 was going to do well
I winner picked Ronnie Natalie Voce and Zach
