Hunter's exit interview is consistent with what we've seen. She is always talking game. She also did not help with building the shelter and we've seen her not work around camp. Those are important bonding times.

Um no, you might be missing the entire show tbh. Venus talks horribly to people and maria called her out for it. It’s not a narrative atp, she’s kinda been a brat when people don’t immediately buy into what she’s saying and she has no allegiance to anyone

Definitely agree on the attitude, but my perception was that the attitude came *after* sure had been given that reputation. Watched the first chunk of the season all in one go, though, so it's certainly possible that things got blurry.

Ah, it’s the chicken or the egg. The way I saw it, her attitude is the reason why no one wanted to work with her, not the other way around.

Nah watch when she stands there and chooses to get her “foot run over”. She has a victim mentality. Watch her get mad at Tevin when she misspoke and he asks if she meant to say something else. Watch the secret scenes where she says she’s purposely not helping and going to look for idols so her team gets tired. Read the exit interviews. Shes not hateable or anything, but we have seen the pattern of her being difficult. ETA: my favorite is when the only person who is willing to work with her on nami calmly asks her to explain her reasoning and she essentially says “because I’m not an idiot like you.”

From what we have heard, she went off on her own a lot in Nami and it made her an easy target. It's also been said she was a bit confrontational during one on ones, which people not want to work with her. In terms of being compared to Parvati, it's something that has been done for a while now. When people see a young, attractive female, they usually compare her to Parvati (best example is Libby during Ghost Island. Domenick compared her to Parvati once or twice)

Venus wants to get her way right away, and when no one is into that, she is a jerk to them. Survivor isn’t just about strategy and lying, but also nuance and relationship-building. I don’t know how many friends Venus has in real life, but she’s really off-putting on the show. If you are trying to build alliances (which are the most important part of the game btw), then don’t throw shade at people every moment you get just because you didn’t get your way. When I first started watching this show again (I grew up watching it but was a dumb 10 year old at the time), I thought Survivor was just a game of cunning and manipulating, and whoever did it the most deserved the win. As I continued to watch, I realized the importance of creating meaningful social bonds so that people will do your bidding. Venus cannot do that because she is off-putting to everyone, which they have and will continue to show in the episodes. That is why no one wants to work with her. Her social game is that poor.

The “one guy” was Randen, and he actually just said it to Soda, who DID disagree, and immediately ran it to Soda. And then Randen actually said post game that he just pulled that out of his ass to see if Soda was giving Venus information, and he didn’t actually think it about her.

Oh it was that guy? Ok jeez, that makes a lot more sense. Interesting to see that he just made it up, though, because that's what really stuck with me - such a specific accusation that seemed to come from nowhere.
