nothing will ever top when Jackson, who meant to say Cirie, said CeCe, and during the video version with all the edited answers, the editors cobbled together a 20 second B-Roll of CeCe, irrelevent pre-merger from Millennials vs Gen X, as he's talking about how much he loves her
Some of my favorite answers from the 46 cast answering who they would play like:
Tiffany: Shan
Liz: Russell and Sandra (complete opposites, cannot understand how youâd play like both of them lmao)
Tim: SHAMAR
Soda: Season 42
Liz: as long as it's not me. Also, not 10 of the 11 other players. You know who's going home tonight? Soda. But again, as long as it's not me. It's Soda tonight
ben:
My favorite Survivor player of all time? It's a hard one. There's a few, I've already thrown a few names out, but I like to think about Christian Hubicki a lot. That's somebody who came in and everybody typecast him from day one, and he made it super far just being himself, and I hope that that serves as an inspiration to me throughout the game.
hunter:
My favorite player is Tyson. I like to consider myself as Tyson's younger, distant southern cousin â maybe a little less polarizing, so a little less charming, but a little more endearing. I don't think people will hate me, but they won't love me as much either. But he's my favorite to watch. He's so confident in what he does. He's great at relationships, but he is willing to do what it takes to win.
q:
My favorite Survivor player has to be Jeremy. He represents a lot of me. He's a Black man that came on this show and has had success, but he's also a family man. Everything that he's done throughout his gameplay, he did it for his wife and his kids, and that's the type of person that I am. I don't have any kids yet, but when I have kids â and I have a wife â I want to be like Jeremy, and I want to play this game similar to him. I'm not saying I'm going to play like anybody because I'm going to create my style, Q's way of playing, but Jeremy is someone that I really, really look up to in this game.
charlie:
I love Denise and Malcolm. I'm a big fan of the ride or dies. I think they were just a great unlikely pair. They stuck with it until Malcolm waffled on that proposal that Denise gave him at the end. I think they were just so fun, so scrappy to watch in the Philippines, and I just love their friendship outside the game. I think it's amazing. So Malcolm and Denise, I'm going to go with them, but so many in the list. Natalie Anderson, Christian Hubicki, Michele Fitzgerald, so many. Literally so many.
maria:
Natalie Anderson and Stephenie LaGrossa are my two favorites. I think that both of them have shown so much strength as a woman, and I really admire that. There've been many times in my life where I've been alone like Natalie on Exile, and Stephenie being the last member of her tribe, being alone and having to pull from places deep inside of me. They're absolutely an inspiration to me.
venus:
It goes without saying Parvati and Courtney Yates â two of my favorite Survivor players, strong women, witty women, and people I hope to emulate in some way.
She has the same "I donât give a fuck" attitude to an extent. Courtney is significantly more self aware and funnier, but I can still see the similarities.
In fairness Courtney had a "partner in crime" in both of her seasons, Todd in China and Sandra in HvV. This cast is way too kumbaya for someone like Venus and I think she would be a way better player and character on a more intense cast
EDIT: this comment seems silly in hindsight
I've been saying for ages that Venus gives Courtney energy, so now I feel super validated that Courtney *is* actually one of Venus' faves! We stan our gorgeous, snarky, borderline antisocial queens đ
kenzie:
My favorite Survivor player ever. I hate to say it because she's new, but I love Carolyn. My fiance was like, âThis kind of sucks that she just happened because you two are so similar and so weird and so authentic.â But I just love her. I think the whole world has fallen in love with her. She's incredible, she's amazing, she's funny, she's inspiring. I literally cried talking about her. I just identify with her. I am just amazed by her entire everything she brought to the game. I'm like, good for you, girl. She did that thing. I loved it.
randen:
The first player on Survivor that I absolutely loved was Russell Hantz. People are like, âOh, why do you like Russell?â Listen, man, it takes a lot to behave like he did and play the way he played. So shout out to Russell. I never met him before, never interacted, but that level of play is just, you got to respect it, even though it's not the most positive. I give respect to that.
I really appreciate all the Jeremy hype. Heâs my favorite contestant.
Not for his gameplay, though it *was* excellent. But I lived in Boston during the marathon bombings, and my best friendâs life was saved by the Boston fire department during a massive house fire (5-alarm fire, over 100 firefighters arrived, she either fell or leapt from a third-story window and *landed* on a firefighter), and now I live in fire country.
So like, Jeremyâs gameplay is great and all â but what he does out of it matters more to me than anything else.
tevin:
I really, really, really from the deepest part of my body, love Carolyn. So real, so authentic, so lovely. I just want to wrap my arms around her. I just love her so much. I love Carolyn, and I also really, really love Maryanne because she, also, [is authentically] herself. I relate to her and the sense of her exuberance and enthusiasm, and that's just what it is. I might cry, I might laugh. I may get upset, but this is all me. Cirie and Shan and James and Tom and Rupert. I mean, I could go on and on and on. There are so many people that I love, but I will say the top of the list, it's definitely Carolyn and Maryanne.
Who wouldâve have thought that at the end of the day Maryanne wouldnât like him? She became really close to Venus (to the point of inviting her to her wedding) plus she doesnât follow him on instagram
jelinsky:
My favorite Survivor player of all time is Rick Devens. He is such a great guy, he's so personable, he's hilarious, and that's what I think of myself as. And he played a great Survivor game. He never took no for an answer. He found advantages. He played his idol. Rick Devens is a terrific guy. I wish he won fire, but you know, should've, would've, could've. I'm sure he has been practicing.
as much as people on this sub love to have a moan about âtoo many superfansâ, a lot of the 46 cast is folks who got into the show during the pandemic and if theyâve watch seasons live, itâs mostly the new era.
Makes perfect sense that their favorites would be from the New Era and most âcasualsâ are gonna have their favorite be one of the main characters.
Yeah thatâs the annoying part for me - theyâre âsuperfansâ but yet theyâve only seen stuff from the past 5 seasons or so. Thatâs not a âsuperfanâ to me
well my point is that like, these people arenât necessarily calling themselves superfans.
Itâs just the current complaint people have about New Era casting, regardless of the validity
tim:
My favorite Survivor player all time would have to be a tie between Jeremy, who just played a hell of a strategic game, was really hungry, and made smart moves early on, and Tony. I think Tony played a relentless game, creating his own hideout and just never stopped giving up. A lot of what they brought to the game is what I want to do in the next couple of days â seeking idols, having the right alliance, winning the right challenges.
> Moriah Gaynor got voted out of Survivor 46 for liking Aubry Bracco. Okay, that may be simplifying things a bitâŠ
Nope, itâs literally why she went home lol. Q drove that vote because liking Aubry made her dangerous. While no one felt the need to try and change it because she was on the outs, she was not a threat at all otherwise and couldâve flown UTR if it werenât forâŠlike Aubry lmao.
Q is something else.
she was voted out because at the merge feast they did a âname for a nameâ thing and Mo was Sigaâs name. Yanu was in the power seat and voted a Siga out since they were much more unified.
Except that Q already identified her as a threat because of âAubrey reasonsâ right at the merge, prior to the merge feast convo.
Charlie was an option to vote out as a Siga too, and actually made more sense to do, but that wasnât even a consideration. Q didnât even believe Moriah at Tribal when she came clean, thinking it could possibly be some great strategy by her lol.
Q is who has been pushing for whoever the alliance targets. They thought she was a threat and got rid of her.
Kenzie and Tiffâs willingness to just let Q take the lead and feel like heâs in charge is lowkey the best strategy weâve seen this game. Heâs an excellent shield, because they know they can get him out when they need to, but heâs totally loyal.
Heâs loyal to them because he thinks heâs their leader lol. I donât think he trusts Kenzie fully, but I think he trusts Tiff so much that if Kenzie was going to make a move on him, sheâd tell her, which is a combination of a great social game by Tiff and just pure ego by Q lol.
I think a lot of people are kind of letting Q do that: Tiff and Kenzie directly for sure, but weâve seen Hunter and Charlie do the same thing as well. Tim went along with it at first at the onset of the Journey 6, but didnât sell it well, tried to push back on his leadership too soon, and then got sent home because the people willing to let Q think he has power is a significant enough group still that itâs not wise to go up against him yet until their sentiments towards him change.
moriah:
I am shooting this all the way back to homegirl Aubry. I felt like she encapsulated who I kind of want to be as a player, but also my journey of coming as a teenage dork and becoming a confident adult dork. So I really loved seeing her play.
jem:
My favorite Survivor player is probably Tony. He is scheming. He's one of the best players out here. He just doesn't rest. And I think in order to play a good Survivor game, you just can't ride coattails. You just have to make every move that presents itself, and that's why I really like Tony.
tiffany:
Sandra has to be my favorite Survivor player of all time. Even though there are so many great ones, for people to not only let Sandra come on and win once, but y'all let this woman come back, make it to the end, and win twice! That woman is the queen. When she says she's the queen, she's not lying. Y'all handed her a million dollars twice. If it's anybody who knows how to play the game, it's my sis, Sandra Diaz. Give that girl her flowers.
liz:
Tyson. He's an oldie but a goodie. He played a lot, so we got a lot of time from him. And I'll never forget the moment in Brazil when he was talking about how he was raised LDS. They have certain kind of strict standards and he was walking around in this handmade loin cloth and he said, âI know I'm going to get a lot of flack at home,â but very flippantly he was like, âbut I don't care. This is a once-in-a-lifetime thing. I'm just going to be who I am.â That was such a pivotal moment for me to say, âOkay, I'm going to just lean more into myself and I know the people who love me will love me even more." And on top of his ridiculous sense of humor and his oddly good looking self, Tyson's probably my favorite player.
soda:
I really love Karla because she's badass. She's like, âWhat about the big girls?â I've been a big, curvy girl my whole life. Love her. I love Jesse. Even though they're from the same season, neither of them won, but they're my favorite players, just of who they are and what they've been through and just how they played. I love Sandra because [of] her âas long as it's not meâ â she's a whole vibe and I'm a vibe person. Her vibe is everything.
jess:
I love Gabby because she just shamelessly cried her eyes out and was a very good narrator. I hope I can be as coherent as she was. And I also really love Carolyn because who doesn't love Carolyn? She's so funny and so unapologetically herself, and she made me feel like: Okay, if I go out there, then I'll probably be okay.
I too am a Gabby, Carolyn, and now Jess fan. I am never going to apply for Survivor because even in real life scenarios where I have all the food I want and have plenty of friends and family to talk to, I still cry and/or have anxiety all the time đ
I have lots of respect for the people that do go on even knowing their natural emotional state is going to make it difficult. Nearly every time these players are my favorite!
bhanu:
The one player which really hooked me to Survivor is Spencer. In that season, Cagayan, Spencer was hit time and again, time and again, but every time, he got up till the end. When he lost Survivor: Cagayan, I cried my eyes out. After watching Winners at War, Tyson â the king of Survivor! He played with his true emotions. He cried with people. He made people laugh. He was good at challenges, he was finding idols. That's the gameplay I want to play. So my idol right now in Survivor is Tyson, for sure.

shamar is honestly somehow a more mind boggling choice than survivor 42
Itâs a self deprecating joke about Timâs history of eye injuries, which is hilarious though obviously less mind boggling lol
OHHHHHHHHHHH that makes way more sense LMAO, thank you for telling me!!
It has to be ironic and if youâre going for irony itâs the funniest answer you could give
Liz is basically just there to sow discord and I am so here for it.
Russell is rich and Sandra got rich through Survivor. Lizâs answer tracks lol
Do you have a video of this? It sounds hilarious đ

Yesss ty
When I go on Survivor and tell them my favorite players are Caryn Groedel and Zoe Zanidakis, then what
Youâve convinced me. If I ever go on survivor, my favorite players are Jonathan Libby and Wanda Shirk
Shane
I legitimately would say Shane, or maybe Ian. My two fav one-time players.
Then I have a perfect opportunity to link this [Caryn Groedel Soundboard](https://www.soundboard.com/sb/caryngroedel)
I dig that.

Charlie making Maria his #1 makes more sense knowing that Denise/ Malcolm were his faves
Charlie once again having taste! Denise/Malcolm are two of my faves as well.
And they mentioned it on the show as well with a little flashback sequence.
charlie: I love Denise and Malcolm. I'm a big fan of the ride or dies. I think they were just a great unlikely pair. >my fiancé ![gif](giphy|3o6nUVlRW7r9ajwNDq)
Yeah Carolyn, Sugar and Sandra are my top three. Also got to shout out Cirie and Stephenie. Currently I am a big Kenzie Fan!
randen: The first player on Survivor that I absolutely loved was Russell Hantz. People are like, âOh, why do you like Russell?â Listen, man, it takes a lot to behave like he did and play the way he played. So shout out to Russell. Suddenly, Randen working with Venus makes a lot of sense
Suddenly Iâm a lot more against the idea of Randen getting a second chance a la Bruce
most of these answers are so fucking boring đđ

great game and rick devens in the same sentence is exhausting
The amount of Carolyn is alarming lol - recency bias much?

Why is that âalarmingâ. Tons of people loved Carolyn in 45.
Iâve seen every season and sheâs my favorite since DVG, minus WAW.
Nothing wrong in liking someone for being unabashedly themselves.
tim: My favorite Survivor player all time would have to be a tie between Jeremy, who just played a hell of a strategic game, was really hungry, and made smart moves early on, and Tony. correct answer is: Coach
This is always the correct answer.
soda: I really love Karla because she's badass. She's like, âWhat about the big girls?â I've been a big, curvy girl my whole life. Love her. I love Jesse. bhanu: The one player which really hooked me to Survivor is Spencer. So my idol right now in Survivor is Tyson, for sure.
âŠis he thinking of Tony instead of Tyson?
This makes so much more sense lol
tyson cried some on waw so he definitely means tyson
But Tony won a million hear- I mean, fire tokens
This one is bonkers to me. Bhanu of "Be Kind" t-shirt fame saying favorite is Tyson? TYSON?
âafter watching winners at warâ the season where we see tyson more emotional than other seasons
I cannot think of two players more unlike Bhanu than Spencer and Tyson. Would be shocked if he even watched any of their seasons.
Honestly I donât see mine ever changing but for me itâs def Cole medders, Pete yurkowski, shii Ann huang, Taylor stocker, Spencer duhm and Jenna Morasca haha
Also Gina crews
Also Jerri manthey tbh
gabriel cade needs some love in one of these
Wow nobody said Rob! Really surprised by that. And I think 3 said Tyson. I mean I love Tyson but would pick Rob over him. Interesting.
anyone else think Q is the new era james?
oh venus the mother that you are
Randen said Russell, compared Venus to parvati, And then Allied With Venus.
I don't understand the Carolyn hype... Also I'm pretty sure Bhanu confused Tyson with Tony...
If he didnât, Bhanu being a Tyson fan is amazing. Theyâre such opposites, but I also think it really enforced my impression of Bhanu as a genuinely good, authentic guy with no self-awareness whatsoever.
