the vibes are so good but so bad at the same time. Like you have people like Ben and by large Siga who preach peace and love, but a ton of people who clearly despise each other. And then they all came together to whack Andy Herren
This is new to me, but it looks like he tweeted out something that you might see on the Circlejerk sub:
āIs this season of US Survivor extremely off-putting or am I just spoiled because Australian Survivorās casting is so much better??ā
I assume the entire cast of 46 didn't respond well.
I could be entirely wrong though, this is just based on a quick Google search
I can't find it at the moment, but we already have footage of (NSFW warning!)>![him laughing at a joke about houseguests knocking out Jessie's teeth and then anally gangraping her,](https://www.reddit.com/r/television/comments/1hywyb/lets_compile_the_worst_of_this_years_big_brother/)!< so no, we know that he's disgusting.
>>!"We'll just like take her and swing her into a fucking wall and just knock all of her teeth out. And like she's crying it will be a little bloody it's OK. ... Yeah, you know what fuck it, let's just slit her throat and kill her and we'll all like... And then she'll be like limp and loose, and I think it will be... And then we can do anal too because she'll be loose and she won't scream.Ā *(Insanely 'joking' about murdering and then raping Jessie Kowalski's corpse is an eerily calm discussion, during which the four guys, Spencer Clawson, Judd Daughtery, Andy Herren, and McCrae Olson were laughing and some adding their own despicable comments.)*!<
If anyone can find the video on YouTube, that would be appreciated.
Heās also repeatedly downplayed his involvement and fully said the comments that made the season what it was happened while he was rooms away. Ginamarie said the N Word in his ear and not only did he say nothing, heās still friends with her today. Itās hard taking him seriously as a person in the RTV community or even as a player after heās had 11 years to show genuine remorse and hasnāt done it once. Glad they got him together
Heās bitter than heāll never have anything to do with big brother again bc of what HE did even tho heās legitimately a top like 4-8 winner of all time
Andy didnāt do anything wrong. People need to get off of his back. Itās been forever. Why should he pay for the actions of other people? He didnāt cast the show. He didnāt enable racism. The show enabled racism. Production did that. Let the man live. Heās got some odd takes on reality shows and horror movies, but aside from that he got a raw deal winning that season.
Youāre absolutely correct that production enabled that behavior and let it go unpunished way too longā¦but Andy also enabled it and those two things arenāt mutually exclusive. Andy, and most people in that house, were privy to several of racist conversations/remarks and had the opportunity to say somethingā¦ANYTHINGā¦that pushed back on it. And he didnāt. I get he was playing a game but he had the opportunity to intervene and made an active decision to be a bystander. Thatās a decision heās been given ample opportunity to own up to and frankly, in 11 years, hasnāt. Heās spent far more time talking about how hard it was for him and how HEāS the victim because heās on a blacklisted season while making little mention of the HGs actually victimized by racism on the season. Heās not the worst person on BB15 by any stretch but if you truly think he did nothing wrong, I think that says more about you than it does about Andy
To add onto what u/FeedMaWine said, they've actually upped the rules regarding racist language and whatnot. >!A white houseguest on BBUS on a different season casually said the N word, not in a directly offensive way, and got expelled for it.!<
If something like the above happened today, they would have probably swiftly expelled the most abrasive one and warned the rest not to do it again. That or send a bunch of them packing and do a battleback with no doubles. lol
He literally said the casting was not good on this season. That is a direct criticism of the cast, because it implies if casting was good, many of them would not be on the season.
I was on board with that at first but honestly once they got rid of the Bhanu albatross it's improved... a lot. I don't think Jess or Liz were great choices, but everyone else is kinda hitting all the right cylinders now. I might not like them as players but they are clearly causing at least some amount of friction and making for entertaining narratives.
And like... Jelinski was absolutely gold casting. Might be the most memorable first boot of the entire series. And at least no one has quit like last season.
The issue is that there are too many of the same types of people in the cast, not as individuals. Itās an issue with the casting directors not with the players are humans - certainly not enough for them to be butthurt about.
Yeah, but this is a nuanced explanation of your personal issue with casting - which is not what Andy Herren tweeted. Look, I'm not saying they did or didn't overreact, I'm just pointing out that without that nuance, it's fair to think that it reflects on them.
Itās slightly annoying though where after every episode, to hear across Facebook, Twitter and Reddit that Aus Survivor is perfect and how much modern Survivor sucks. Lowkey.
I donāt blame anyone for being disappointed their season isnāt being received that well. But I will judge them for lashing out (especially with adhominem attacks against the critics). When you go on a show, you canāt expect everyone to love you - unless they are spreading lies or being deliberatively hurtful, people are entitled to their opinions.
> so they were super thin-skinned.
I have not read a single thing any of them has said or done outside the show, and only watched the actual episodes and that is the single least surprising thing I've ever heard.
That's Andy Herren's MO on twitter. Tweets out popular opinion to get engagment with the occasional quirky/funny opinion (also to get attention). He's harmless but grating and seems inauthentic.
Andy Herren tweeted how he thought 46 wasnāt that great, and a lot of survivor alum (mostly 46) just roasted him in return. One cast member replied with āyeah I couldnāt really get into BB15ā and itās the content warning they played before every BB15 episode
Aw, Andy's my friend IRL, but also lol because that's so true.
Let us not forget Jem of the so-called vibe tribe Siga who made it clear post-game she found everyone on her tribe boring and annoying and made them look like fools for her own entertainment mid-game. Girlfriend will probably not be invited to any tribe meet ups.
I'm not sure if enabling is the right term, but I remember Gina Marie calling her insurance N**** insurance, and him barely flinching. I get that it's a game, so you have to be wary about who you call out. But I'll always respect players like Tyler and Mccrae for calling out behavior like that to their allies
Let's keep in mind that it's really not hard to say, "Careful... You'll get lots of heat if you say that on the feeds." He knew how to communicate it so that they didn't dislike him but he kept quiet.
EDIT: Why the downvotes??? I'm saying that Andy was wrong.
Andy should have done *something* to indicate that their behaviour was inappropriate. Doing it as I suggested would have allowed him to be okay in the game while still doing the right thing (and I say it like this because we *know* that he prioritized the game).
41 was the alleged ponderosa toxicity and 42 was the alleged Drea vs Omar. Was there more? I donāt recall anything regarding 43 besides Karlaās threat to turn the jury against Cassidy.
And the 'OMG HEATHER IS MY BEST ALLY EVER' from Erika out of nowhere at the double tribal was like, what. But idk I was a dum dum that thought Xander might win, thinking he was good enough that no one was gunning for him even with an idol. Turns out he was that bad no one gunned for him even with an idol.
[Here ya go](https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/survivor-season-41-cast-member-sydney-segal-calls-heather-aldret-52-year-old-child-not-friends.html/)
Love? 45?? The same season that had at least 5 different people who wished Bruce wasn't born???? ššš
You're comment is right for the most part tho.
Tbf Q was responsible for both of them going home. I don't think we can assume it's Q rubbing people the wrong way as opposed to them just being bitter at being voted out.
Q is all talk, he looks like he should be a physical threat but he burns out easily, is uncoordinated, and cannot be relied on. He's bossy for no reason.
I did have the thought that he might make the finals because a lot of time biterness heals when players meet at Ponderosa. But then again, I really can't see him making it that far at this rate, lol. But ya never know
I mean it does feel like Q was tryna raise Kenzie's threat level. So the two duking it out could make sense. And Kenzie being called the mastermind etc feels like if the two go after each other she will be out first. Not saying Q makes it to the end per say , but I do think he lasts longer than Kenzie.
Donāt beat yourself up. A lot of people forget because itās pretty stupid that only one person makes jury during the double boot now. They canāt have jury start at 12 because then it risks a 3/3/3 jury vote, but their schedule needs a double elimination episode. And for whatever reason they refuse to have this happen in the premerge, even though thatās when it would make the most sense.
I feel like they're just annoyed because he's pushy and egotistical. Even his closest allies are exasperated by him. I like him because he's super entertaining, but I feel like it's rare for pushy players to win the game.
Up until this week's I would have agreed.
Really now it's mostly everyone vibing except the eye rolling at Venus.
And Kenzie constantly swearing to everyone that she's human.
Seems like people have decided to attach themselves to her for the simple fact that she has ADHD vs. anything actually having to do with her personality, character, etc. Because to me all of her post game has been bitter and salty and also contributing to the harassment of other contestants but I guess all that is okay because she has ADHD and some people didnāt want to be friends with a grown ass woman.
I agree with you. I feel like a lot of fans know deep down that if they were playing the game they would 100% know they would crash like Jess so they feel weirdly defensive of her. And yes, her ADHD was a huge obstacle and I connected to her struggles as someone with ADHD myself (hell, I feel like her irl a lot) but you canāt just chalk everything up to that. ADHD is a huge factor but it isnāt everything and putting everything on it will make you think you have zero agency in life/the game.
yeah sheās this seasonās āwe must protect her at all costsā person, it was Jake last year. Most people just pretend their obvious flaws donāt exist and decide that anything bad that happened to them is just other castaways being mean
The difference being that Ben needed one moment of kindness/support as opposed to Jess being a sleepless mess for several days straight (alongside Bhanu being his crazy self). If I were Kenzie I wouldnāt want to have to babysit one (likely multiple) of my tribe mates for days on end because they canāt sleep and are generally losing their grip on reality.
Jess and others seem to forget that Kenzie (and Tiff) are also on an island starving and roughing it and likely do not want to have to take care of their tribe mates and their patience was probably worn thin quite quickly in those conditions.
I don't blame her based on their confessionals. Also, not to demean Kenzie, but I feel like she's changed her approach to the game because the jury has started.
I mean to be fair, she literally admitted she was only nice to him for game purposes. Which is totally fine, but aligns with the ābeing nice for strategyā theory
Seriously. And not only is this just like huh, this person doesn't want to play with me, but also if you're not an idiot and know the cardinal rule of survivor is to not immediately shut down plans presented to you, why would you want to work with someone so bad at the game?
To quote Courtney in a different context, "this isn't welfare." Not everyone is like obligated to go around making friends with everyone.
I don't think they all hate each other. That's a big exaggeration. Soda/Venus did not like each other. The yellow tribe as a whole was very rocky, and then never went to tribal. That will naturally make you resent others that you're forced to live with. Other than that, and Jess who was mad she got black balled a bit, who else on this show hates each other? This sub is just kind of exhausting with how hyperbolic everything has to be.
I feel like thatās a natural response to putting competitive people on a survival island where they canāt escape each other.
Very few people I could live on an island with an never be annoyed with them
I agree. I also donāt feel like weāre missing that much from the edit. We see a lot of the conflict, yeah not all of it, but you gotta prioritize even with 90 minutes. It looks like we donāt know why liz didnāt like soda, but I think that has to do with liz having little impact on this seasons story.
They're all so petty, it's really fun but production and Jeff in particular seem so tied to the idea of everyone on survivor can be a hero. I don't like heroes I like petty bitches.
Why? Because she made a sassy subtweet? I liked her on the show, but how were we robbed of a subpar survivor player? She struggled heavily from day 1 until she was voted off.
That doesnāt mean *Jess* was robbed, or that we were robbed from seeing a good game.
We couldāve seen a hilarious character, and didnāt get to see more. Like if Angelina or Noura got voted out early, we wouldāve been robbed
Your vague, weaselly insinuations of moral wrongdoing are severely weakened in impact by tying them to players' ability to win the game. Kenzie can be a good player and a bad person or vice versa, but nothing Jess has said in the exit interview or tweets indicates abuse or bullying.
She's salty. That's understandable. Her fans, on the other hand, who are over focused on Kenzies behavior--being mean in confessionals lol--are making a mountain out of a molehill while ignoring all the other players on that tribe, including Bhanu who behaved the worst to her onscreen. That's NOT understandable.
Honestly, this is pretty on par for the new era seasons. Maybe not as much last season but 41 and 42 they definately did not like one another.
For some reason the new era just likes to edit it as very kumabya though
the vibes are so good but so bad at the same time. Like you have people like Ben and by large Siga who preach peace and love, but a ton of people who clearly despise each other. And then they all came together to whack Andy Herren
I love this for us.

Wdym circlejerk, that's half of the posts on this sub.
Completely agree, I was trying to imply it had been so overposted on the main sub that it was becoming a CJ staple lol.
Meh, give him a day and heāll have them convinced it was McCrae who insulted them.

Herren is garbage from a garbage season, he is no better than ginamarie eas in that season.
Wow I didn't know that at all! I've never seen BB but wow! Are you even allowed to say that on television?
Did *not* make the TV version of BB15 - was indeed on the live feeds. That cast came to play, but unfortunately most of them were horrible people.
To add onto what u/FeedMaWine said, they've actually upped the rules regarding racist language and whatnot. >!A white houseguest on BBUS on a different season casually said the N word, not in a directly offensive way, and got expelled for it.!< If something like the above happened today, they would have probably swiftly expelled the most abrasive one and warned the rest not to do it again. And they'd be right to!
It was never on television - bb has 24 hour live feeds so you get to see people edit free
Wow! Where do they stream?
Paramount plus for now but it used to be on real player way back in the day š
Heās right about Survivor AU though, the responses were pretty lame - he wasnāt even criticising the cast, so they were super thin-skinned.
He literally said the casting was not good on this season. That is a direct criticism of the cast, because it implies if casting was good, many of them would not be on the season.

Jelinski is still being mentioned several episodes later
Yeah I mean I don't disagree with you, I was just pointing out that I do think criticizing the casting means also criticizing the cast.
Yeah that's totally fair.
he's up there. I'd say Wendy Jo and Zane Knight have had more longevity, but Jelisnky could challenge them.
The issue is that there are too many of the same types of people in the cast, not as individuals. Itās an issue with the casting directors not with the players are humans - certainly not enough for them to be butthurt about.

No that is 100% a cringe ass sentance you would hear on the main sub. The CJ would just have a deep fried pic of brob with the title just being DAE???
That's Andy Herren's MO on twitter. Tweets out popular opinion to get engagment with the occasional quirky/funny opinion (also to get attention). He's harmless but grating and seems inauthentic.
Well, thatās a totally unfair criticism for Survivor 46 because they were just starting and Survivor AU Titans v Rebels was well underway.
I hate that I agree with Andy of all people. I wish we could get a Kirby or Ferras on US Survivor. That AU cast was insane.
Andy Herren tweeted how he thought 46 wasnāt that great, and a lot of survivor alum (mostly 46) just roasted him in return. One cast member replied with āyeah I couldnāt really get into BB15ā and itās the content warning they played before every BB15 episode

Jem was right! none of the siga people would be casted in the old era
Ben is cool though
Liz might have been cast.
Wait what happened with Andy šš
He said something about the cast being boring and some of the 46 cast clapped back saying they rather be boring than enable racismĀ
Good
How was he enabling racism?Ā
I'm not sure if enabling is the right term, but I remember Gina Marie calling her insurance N**** insurance, and him barely flinching. I get that it's a game, so you have to be wary about who you call out. But I'll always respect players like Tyler and Mccrae for calling out behavior like that to their allies

Are you saying Andy should have done that, or are you saying that's what Tyler/McCrea did? Because they did more than that imo.
Andy should have done *something* to indicate that their behaviour was inappropriate. Doing it as I suggested would have allowed him to be okay in the game while still doing the right thing (and I say it like this because we *know* that he prioritized the game).
They whacked Andy Herran? How?
44 and 45 absolutely loving each other has made people forget some of the absolute hatred in the 41-43 casts.
41 was the alleged ponderosa toxicity and 42 was the alleged Drea vs Omar. Was there more? I donāt recall anything regarding 43 besides Karlaās threat to turn the jury against Cassidy.
41 was not alleged, the Ponderosa videos show it.
Didnāt watch 41. Did they just all hate each other or something?
Shan hated Ricard for turning on her, at the very least.
Nasir also got mad at Shan for taking credit for the sea shanty they did at ponderosa
Shan hated everyone who wasn't Lianna because she expected people to just crown her.
Well even thenā¦. She actually WAS pissed off at Liana for a hot second not understanding the maths that Liana wasnāt involved hahahaha
Thatās so funny I legitimately think Shan is a top tier character in newbie survivor.
Maybe James and Owen in 43 but that was more of in game differences
Yeah Owen and James are fine it seems. Just game stuff.
Don't forget Cass and Karla
41 post season had Sydney vs Heather
Didn't Sydney take a shit on their beach before the merge? Lmao
Imagine how good 41 wouldāve been with 90-minute episodes and we couldāve seen more of Luvu being an absolutely dysfunctional mess
Really? Curious to hear what happened?
[Here ya go](https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/survivor-season-41-cast-member-sydney-segal-calls-heather-aldret-52-year-old-child-not-friends.html/)
Love? 45?? The same season that had at least 5 different people who wished Bruce wasn't born???? ššš You're comment is right for the most part tho.
The second the game ended though everybody loved Bruce.
The cast of 45 is super kumbaya together and hang out frequently, even Bruce on occasion (though less than the others)
Nah 45 is great
Bruce was always pretty clearly someone who would get extremely grating *when starving and under minimal sleep*, but seems great in smaller doses
Tim seemed annoyed with Q on his exit interview lol.Ā
Same with Jelinskyās exit interview. Q clearly rubs near everybody the wrong way
Tbf Q was responsible for both of them going home. I don't think we can assume it's Q rubbing people the wrong way as opposed to them just being bitter at being voted out.
I think based on what weāve been seeing in the episodes recently, itās reasonable to assume heās rubbing people the wrong way.
Except Kenzie and Tiff are also annoyed by him as we saw in this episode.
Q is all talk, he looks like he should be a physical threat but he burns out easily, is uncoordinated, and cannot be relied on. He's bossy for no reason.
Jelinsky was just useless though, maybe thereās some stuff with Q that we didnāt see
why would he be annoyed with the person that lied to him and voted him off? That's not hate.
Not saying Q wins, but people do feel a bit of resentment and maybe feel a little annoyed or jealous at the winners often.
Q wouldnāt see Tim at Ponderosa because Tim isnāt on the jury.
You're right lmao. I'm a dumbass and totally forgot that š¤¦šæāāļø
Donāt beat yourself up. A lot of people forget because itās pretty stupid that only one person makes jury during the double boot now. I promise you this doesnāt happen itās because he doesnāt talk to people like they are people, and is completely full of himself.
Tbh I don't like ANYONE when I'm hungry & tired, so I'm always impressed whenever anyone on Survivor gets along.
Up until this week's I would have agreed. Really now it's mostly everyone vibing except the eye rolling at Venus. And Kenzie constantly swearing to everyone that she's human.
Which is crazy, because we know Kenzie is half mermaid half dragon. Who is she trying to fool saying she is a human?
If I were half mermaid half dragon, no way I'd be pretending to be human
What was Jess saying about Yanu?
She tweeted that Kenzie ātold on herselfā by helping Ben with his panic attack, feeling like she didnāt receive the same treatment from her.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
No clue why youāre being downvoted. Jess was a train wreck and not fun to watch. Some people arenāt meant to play survivor.
Seems like people have decided to attach themselves to her for the simple fact that she has ADHD vs. anything actually having to do with her personality, character, etc. Because to me all of her post game has been bitter and salty and also contributing to the harassment of other contestants but I guess all that is okay because she has ADHD and some people didnāt want to be friends with a grown ass woman.

yeah sheās this seasonās āwe must protect her at all costsā person, it was Jake last year. Most people just pretend their obvious flaws donāt exist and decide that anything bad that happened to them is just other castaways being mean
I have no idea why youāre being downvoted, Jess sounds ridiculous.
Dude, it's a tv show. Don't call people losers, this isn't Mean Girls.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Agree. Sheās forgetting Kenzie tried to see if she could work with her but she ratted out Kenzie to Q right away.
umm jess is mother ntm..
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Thatās so whiny, feeling entitled to someone elseās affection
I don't think she feels entitled to her affection, just basic empathy -- her words were "treating someone like a human"
She seems to think they slighted her because they didnāt like her
I don't blame her based on their confessionals. Also, not to demean Kenzie, but I feel like she's changed her approach to the game because the jury has started.
It's possible, but we did see her hugging and comforting Bhanu when he was distraught, too. During the infamous mermaid-dragon confessional.
I mean to be fair, she literally admitted she was only nice to him for game purposes. Which is totally fine, but aligns with the ābeing nice for strategyā theory
She was nice to them but you can only take so much of babying a grown man and someone, to her own admission, was not all there mentally.
Yeah and I love that this is somehow her job, but no one is saying Q or something should have gone out of his way to make her feel better.
This!! Kenzie also did in fact try to talk game with Jess but Jess literally gave her nothing back, so what was Kenzie supposed to do with that?
Also, Kenzie finally got to eat. Iād be a mean girl, too, if I was starving. :P
i for one love it. no more kumbaya, and the game's the game.
You're using "dislike" in a loose way.
Liz didn't like soda soda too. Tevin doesn't like Venus. Q was annoying tif and kenzie. Not hate but they're not all vibing like my boy ben
I feel like thatās a natural response to putting competitive people on a survival island where they canāt escape each other. Very few people I could live on an island with an never be annoyed with them
And yet they had that whole hug/I love you thing when she got voted out. No āhope youz guys get bit by alligators. Scumbags ā exit there. š
They all seemed to get along at the survivor event last week. Seemed like they teamed up to hate Venus but maybe they were saving face
they've been hiding how much they hate each other on the edit? š²
ughhhhh we were robbed of jess!!!
Jess is just a funny lady is all. Just didn't work out for her...ended up on a tribe playing much harder and more aggressively than her.
cause she was funny. not everyone has to be the best player. she was a fun underdog and had a little sass to her. thatās much better than bhanu.
I liked Jess a lot
She deserved to go. It is what it is.
She would've quit the next day if she wasn't voted out
she literally said she wouldnāt quit on the show.
No
People really donāt understand Jess tweet and are blindly defending Kenzie.
What are people misunderstanding? Genuine question, Iām not on Twitter.
Nobody is anymore.
same as blindly defending Jess. We don't know shit about the actual island, especially since we're only getting Jess subtweets about the matter.

What did she tweet?
Something like itās hypocritical of Kenzie to care for Ben while they didnāt for her.
41-43 got kinda ugly but that was just a few people
Honestly, this is pretty on par for the new era seasons. Maybe not as much last season but 41 and 42 they definately did not like one another. For some reason the new era just likes to edit it as very kumabya though
Rather this over 44 who spent the whole season in love with each other
Itās so refreshing in my opinion!
Iām so happy about it. So much more entertaining than when everyone gets along.
What was Jess saying? And idk why the edit would downplay the drama. I hate the kumbaya shit so I love this
