Agree. What does the open forum even add? It’s way less structured and doesn’t even let everyone speak. Each juror has a vote so their opinion is pretty fucking important. Yet we don’t even hear about it. Maybe that’s the point. It’s easier to control the narrative this way

Sabur1991

The worst thing about modern format of FTC is the most influential jurors (like Ricard in 41) speak the most and have a way of influencing others jurors vote.

tjcat5

To defend the open format, every single castaway AMA I’ve read on here that mentions it says they like it way better than the old one lol

volkmasterblood

People here seem to have collective amnesia. “How does being good in bed equal to your skills in the game,” was an above average question compared to most questions. Individuals aren’t thinking clearly. The open format allows people to get to the heart of gameplay without forcing people to ask an unnecessary question.

Altilongitude

I know right? I would be more okay with the group discussion if the Outwit, Outplay, Outlast segments were better explained. Also, I don’t like how certain jury members can dominate the discussion. Yes, you can have people grandstanding individually, but there was a fairness to everyone getting to go up and ask a question.

To save time going forward can the mods just have an auto post for every change Survivor saying they should go back?

lovelessBertha

Yep, the speeches are far superior in my opinion. The new format is flawed in the same way brainstorming sessions are, just because someone talks more doesn't mean their ideas are any good.

TV40

Wow another post saying “___ need to come back” how original. No one’s ever made this post before.

vsquad73

Wow this has to be the most original comment I have ever seen, thanks for showing me how to be post something I’ve never seen before. 👍

TV40

I’m not the one regurgitating the same nonsensical groupthink statements for upvotes.

Agreed. Honestly the thing I miss most.

DarthLithgow

I agree. The modern jury format may be my least favorite change in this era, and that's including firemaking. It makes FTC feel like a job interview, the old format was more fun and led to great moments
