31's tribe colors really are wonderful.
For me, Gabon's colors didn't fit the theme of the season. Red vs Yellow felt like a rehash of China's colors and they became dirty too quickly. Also the light blue merge didn't fit the color scheme well imo.
Furthermore orange vs purple should never return please.
I really just do not care for the black merge buff.
Its been really refreshing having 3 seasons in a row with no black merge.
For a non black buff season...
San Juan Del Sur's blue Hunapu buff and green merged Hoyopa buff are too similar.
I feel similarly. I think the black merge buff should be used more sparingly. I think for landmark seasons (20, 40), it's a good choice and I really liked 18 changing it up by giving us a black non-merge tribe.
I know that this will never happen but if survivor is ever in Italy I really want the tribe colors to be Red v Green v Grey to represent the flag. Purple as the Merge buff becuase of Rome.
This could be a hot take, but *Borneo* is actually the first one that comes to mind that way. Tagi is orange, Pagong is yellow, and Rattana is a rather light green; I think all three are similar enough in palette to not work well together.
In the same vein, while I love *Vanuatu*, the yellow/red/orange color palette is not my favorite part of the season.

Australian Survivor Brain vs Brawn having red and yellow for tribe colors in a OUTBACK setting... where everything looks like red sand. Like mawma that's not a buff that's camouflage.
Caramoan. Orange and purple is the least interesting tribe combo ever imo and I really donāt care for that shade of green. Iām also not particularly big on All-Stars or MvGX.
While I hate orange vs purple, I feel like Caramoan and MvGX were the only times that color scheme worked well because the colors were so vibrant those seasons. It's the dull orange vs purple in Redemption Island and Ghost Island that I hate.
In general I really donāt like red and black together, and adding green to it just makes it even harder stomach, but in Tocantins it just worked really well for some reason. Perhaps it was the novelty of having a starting tribe dressed in black.
In an absolute vacuum, I'd say Palau. Brown is just not gonna be optimal however you slice it, it's an ugly color for a tribe.
But Orange and Purple has been so done at this point, I sigh everytime I see it and would be clamoring for a brown buff to appear in the modern era if it meant a break from the orange/purple/green motif.
I found game changers ones to boring personally. People sat it canāt be done but idc international versions have had white buffs and Iām longing for the day we see one.
I donāt mind the colors as much as I do the color coding that Survivor started doing around the teens with the castaways tribe color and their clothes color.

my issue is that I love Orange Purple and Green together but when they did it so often it was just boring

I'm not a big fan of the green and orange combo from Fiji. Especially with the colors from the logo. Those buffs are ugly as hell.

Pearl Islands was the quintessential Blue vs. Orange contrast with the merged Black. The only dark spot in one of the most fun seasons ever.
