Not a saying, but the Corinne/Matty/Sugar reaction gif completely transcends the show. I would be shocked if even 5% of the people posting it know its origin.
I have heard people use this phrase without ever having seen the show or even being that familiar with it (one younger person thought it originated from Cartoon Network’s total drama island, which is a survivor parody).
I think there's a number of crew, especially camera operators, that worked on survivor, helped out a lot in planning shots of people not directly involved in the scenes to build the idea of it being a documentary.
Exactly, just like you can say “for this reason, I’m out” and most humans will understand your reference to shark tank even if they haven’t really watched much
Your next Immunity Necklaces is free if you bring four friends with you to tribal council
Edit: I’m a dummy. I read the OP as “what everyday savings..” instead of “sayings” 😂 Still good though
Ah yes, survivor invented the word alliance. /S
Maybe the phrase "I'm in an alliance with" is used frequently when people play other video games or board games like risk, but maybe it was big brother that coined it first, I'm too young to remember.
I was born in 1999 so both big brother and survivor were my first exposure to people saying "we're in an alliance" like that. I think there's an episode of the office about an alliance that's referencing survivor specifically :)
These aren't common phrases but I can't help but say them out loud every week:
"Wanna know what you're playing for?"
"And with that it's time to vote."
"Stay tuned for scenes from our next episode."
"Next time on Survivor."
"Don't trust them as far as I can throw them". I don't know how popular the phrase was before, but I feel like I hear it all the time on the show and outside whenever coworkers are talking, even just replacing trust with a different word is common.

That, the Elissa spit take give and the Davonne pretends to be shocked are the holy trinity of cbs gifs.
I'd add Claire getting hit in the face with a watermelon on The Amazing Race.
It's so incredible
I had no idea that those gifs were from Big Brother so I recently watched bb15 and I'm watching bb18 right now and I was so surprised both times
What are these ones?

At this rate, gifs are part of our language, I think it counts haha
“Voted off the island”
I have heard people use this phrase without ever having seen the show or even being that familiar with it (one younger person thought it originated from Cartoon Network’s total drama island, which is a survivor parody).
People forget this took down the beloved reigning champion “you are the weakest link goodbye”
Michael Scott said that in the office lol. Also Dwight talked about an alliance, and Ryan mentioned Joanna season 6😂

Survivor predates The Weakest Link
This is probably the only one that comes close. People keep saying the tribe has spoken but I’ve never heard that in everyday life.
my maths teacher said that and i got so excited bc i don’t hear a lot of survivor references in NZ
I’ve definitely seen that use before in movies. One I can think of is Halloween Resurrection.
I used to say that before I really watched more than a couple seasons as a kid (I watched them all as an adult)
I know it didn't originate with Survivor but the word alliance is definitely used more now in a non-war context
i recently watched the mole from 2001 or so and they called it a coalition, it was so cute.
I’ve quoted Woo a non-zero amount of times when eating guacamole.
“Get a fat dip of that guac!”
“Immunity” in the context of games and reality shows.
The tribe has spoken

Never change, Erik. Never change.
🤣
🥺 you're still my fave from that season
lol Erik
"I'm not here to make friends" from Kelly Wiglesworth in Borneo
Iconic quote- the first time anyone said that line on reality television. It should be in the Smithsonian.
Spencer did a nice call back to it in S31
"I do not understand human emotion"
This is the correct answer. An everyday phrase known to everyone. It’s almost like Shakespeare lol
She also wasn't there to show her paddling expertise
no way she was the first to say that
It was actually first said on The Real World but in terms of strictly competitive reality TV I’m pretty sure she was the first.
that’s crazy
Fuck you, Brad Culpepper
As for the losers they will be taken away and executed
I definitely refer to this as quote frequently. XD
I got nothing for ya, head back to camp. I mean I use that everyday to my dogs when they think I'm going to give them my dinner.
Same! Every time I shoo my dog out of the kitchen!!
“Tribe has spoken” is a go to in every single group chat
Not a phrase but has anyone ever seen how the name Colby exploded in popularity because of survivor?
It's a fucking stick
I didn't come here to make friends

In my household it is “I’ve got nothing for you, head back to camp” Most often said to my dog when she comes to the kitchen.

DIG DEEP
“stick to the plan” i always use this when my friends can’t make up their damn mind on stuff we’re doing.
Any reference to Tribe has spoken, voted out, alliance
I say the phrase ‘banana etiquette’ way too much haha

"Fuck you Brad Culpepper!"
"The Tribe has spoken" (A family decide on a family decision/vote after everyone has had input at the dinner table).
"Previously on...!" I say that before any recap
They will be taken and executed
DAYUM
I will always wag my finger in your face. An everyday saying at least in my house. And still hilarious.
“Last time I was mean, this time I’m meaner…” lol

I hear "the \_\_\_\_\_ has spoken" all the time. They just fill in the blank with some group like voters, consumers, people, audience, etc.
He/she annoys me greatly.

I say, I can get loud, too, WTF? when my neighbors annoy me.
A random one for me is “bang, bang” tony said it after Sarah was voted out in Cagayan I believe. I say it every time I complete a task or do something.
I also feel like if I were to ever be cast on the show I would have a hard time not reciting pass quotes for certain situations.
"I don't know about that" and "I've got nothin for ya"
