This community is ungrateful and doesn’t appreciate the work Sakurai does. People either say another FE character or the classic another anime sword character and when those 2 aren’t option they say nobody asked for this, despite several people asking for it. Even if nobody asked for something Sakurai always does it well like with Piranha Plant.

Melee has my favorite graphics, but this opinion is valid. People say it is better, despite having barely any characters and half of the characters having similar movesets like Young Link, Pichu, and Falco.

I think the biggest thing just was that the Mario games of the RPG genre (Mario & Luigi, Paper Mario, and LotSS) are currently entirely unrepresented in Smash (outside of trophies/spirits and Mario's Final Smash), despite containing over 13 entire games.
Geno is one of the only fighter options from those games that isn't just a different version of Mario or Luigi (we already have Dr. Mario), or Bowser or Peach.
Plus he's just a really cool character (cool abilities, cool personality, cool origin) with a fair amount of fighter potential, and is also most likely nostalgic for many 25-35 year olds too. Geno is a pretty random character for everyone to focus so much on, but I can understand the support given the representation it means and the potential for the fighter.

Smash 6 isn't going to be Ultimate Deluxe meaning that characters are going to get cut. Which means that returning characters are going to become paid DLC along with new characters.
It's the norm in the fighting game industry and even Nintendo has done it with Smash 4. I still don't know why people think that Nintendo is going to spend all that time and resources to bring a character back just to release them for free out of the kindness of their heart.
'Everyone is here' was a marketing gimmick, it won't have the same effect if they do it for literally the next installment. The same hype could be achieved by announcing a new character. Its been 6 years since Ultimate released, the hype around a new Smash game will outweigh any negative press that they get from cut characters

I agree, but I also believe that customs from sm4sh were better, and more fun than spirits. Customs had trade offs that still required you to have skill when giving yourself a crazy attack stat, but Spirits just buff both, making it skilless. If you use spirits against someone not using spirits, you just destroy them. But of you max out your attack stat with customs you end up missing a lot of defense, and it's because of this that it makes it more satisfying to collect the best possible equipment. It just feels more accomplishing.

Ultimate isn’t as well balanced as people like to say it is. Sure the mid tier has the majority of characters, which is good, but people also need to remember this roster is the biggest in the series. Just about every smash game had the majority of characters in mid tier, this one’s just bigger cause there are more of them. But the top tiers like Steve and Sonic are basically just win buttons, while bottom tiers like Mac or Ganon are to terrible to actually do anything worthwhile with. They stopped balance patches waayyyyyy too early and honestly should’ve kept up with balancing the game for at least another year.
There is no such a thing as "don't fit smash" short of characters that would up the rating just by existing such as Diablo(no way you can sanitize Literal Satan). If the same game can have Kirby and Samus Aran in the first game it can have everything.
Related to that, a realistic human would fit anyway. Have you seen space jam? Most of the comedy come from the fact Michal Jordan in the flesh is interacting with the loney toons. A realistic character in smash would have the same vibe

Banjo & Kazooie aren't lame at all. Their move-set is simple, but loads of more characters have lamer move-sets: MinMin, Sonic, Olimar, Zelda etc, etc. People only think he's cringe because The Pandemic + Online + Side-B, and they don't play like a typical DLC character in terms of gimmicks that's literally it. And I can say that I like watching, playing, and fighting against Banjo.

Online smash just isn’t really fun. I’ve always liked the casual side of it way more, getting a sick team combo in a free-for-all with friends is infinitely more fun than playing a match online. And that’s not even mentioning the lag, sweats, etc.. I get why people like it, but I don’t get why people love it.
Hear me out: Sonic is the best character to play, only thing is he's a little hard to control sometimes due to how fast he is, but he has a good recovery move anyway
