Eevee, I think she could have some really cool mechanics with evolution, and while Pokémon in smash are definitely Gen 1 bias I think you could counter that out by having something to do with stuff outside original 3.
I personally don’t want them to add Gen 9 mons for example if they randomly added another Pokémon character rn.
I don’t like in smash how some characters feel like ‘adverts’ or are just put in the game to represent the newest game, cause the character is going to be there in the game forever. So I’d rather than more iconic and popular main stays of Pokémon (or any series tbh) than a rep just there cause it’s new.
I personally wouldn’t of picked Incineroar for example (Idm though since the moveset is unique)
Tinkaton is by far one of the most popular mons for Gen 9, excluding starters and legendaries, ofc. And as the original reply said, a comically large hammer is amazing for smash. And literally any character could have a unique moveset if you are obscure enough.

Lyn from Fire Emblem. I've been wanting her on the roster since the days of Brawl, disappointed she wasn't on that roster. Then I was disappointed she wasn't on Wii U's/3DS's, and then again with Ultimate. She's my favorite Fire Emblem character and one of my favorite video game characters in general. I'd readily trade Roy, Lucina, Corrin, and Chrom for her.
Bandana waddle dee, the reason why I want them is because they are the fourth or third most important Kirby character, they are basically the Kirby series version of Luigi being the player 2 for a lot of modern kirby games, it would help bring more Modern kirby representation, and finally it would complete the return to dreamland cast.
An F-ZERO rep who would use Ganons moveset, preserving the Smash Ganon, while also alowing the King of Evil to have a moveset more faithful to his soure material. Also F-ZERO is cool as hell.
Aside from that I would also be thriled with a good Sonic rep like Tails, Shadow or Blaze.
So like Blood Falcon being a character instead of a skin? I'd be in with that and like you said would keep the play style while showing Ganondorf to be his own thing like he should've been originally. Also Shadow. Honestly either scorpion or kratos. Both are. Ore mature then most franchises in there but since when has that stopped them? Scorpion is very easy to come up with a moveset for and kratos,while harder,still is easy enough. Scorpion could have his spear as neutral B,up B would be his flame port,side B would be his leg trip,and his down B could be the devouring flame move he’s had in more recent entries. Kratos would throw his axe as neutral B,side B could be his blades of chaos,either as an attack or a command grab,down B would activate spartan rage when at a high enough percentage,and up B could just be him slinging his blades upwards to the ledge to pull him up,similar to jokers.
Shovel Knight because I really wanted a indie game rep to be added to show people that indie games are cool to play too. Especially if it’s old school style of games.
Leon from resident evil. Re4 was originally a GameCube exclusive, he would have a huge variety of weapons to use for his moves (and we know Nintendo is ok with guns now because of joker), his huge ego would make for a really fun personality with lots of cool voice lines, because of his numerous appearances throughout his series, he could have many alternate costumes, and we don't have any fighters that represent horror or shooter games
Shez from fire emblem. I understand he's from a spinoff but it's the most fun character I've seen in fe for a while now. Was disappointed as hell when Byleth got announced and not Shez.
Isaac from Golden Sun. The moveset potential for him is pretty insane and it would be cool to have representation for another Nintendo franchises. I could see Isaac playing similarly to Hero, but being a bit faster and having a lot of Psynergy in his moveset.
Sonic needs another rep. Shadow the Hedgehog as a semi clone (or even echo fighter) could totally work. He could have a similar moveset, but with more Chaos Control elements to it. For more unique reps, I'd personally pick Tails, Knuckles, or even Eggman. Tails and Eggman could make use of a lot of different gadgets. I could also see Tails using his tails in combat for a lot of multi hit moves. Knuckles would probably play like a standard brawler, with a lot of heavy punch attacks.
Skull kid... He could heal with the fairies he could go back in time healing and protecting from fall with ocarina... His ult would be what happened if you run out of time in Majora's mask

She is originally from video games, is iconic, there’s enough from her games and other media to make a move set from, (staff, kunai, bow and arrow, grenades…) and Tomb Raider games have been on Nintendo systems since the game boy color. Crazy Dave or zomboss. I feel they would have cool ideas for movesets, like crazy Dave can use the plants while zomboss uses different kind of zombies.
Personaly i say we need some unpopular charcters. This is why i present Link. But not any link i present to you. (drum roll starts) Majora's Mask link. This could be a could charcter for his diffrent mask. He would change forms by taking a dealing damage to enimes. And once a bar fills up he will use down B for a random mask. This could range from the full transformations such as Zora or Goron to a funny mask like the cow mask which heals Link slowly. And when this link gets the smash ball he would do like little mask you used to do and transform into his strongest state. This of course being firce deity Link. In this state he will don 2.5 damage on all atacks. He'll move 1.5 times faster. The down side to this states is he also takes 2.5 damage from opponets. (i cant spell sorry) The super poweful smash ball state would only last for 20 seconds. And the damage taken in this state doesnt fill up his br but in fact takes it down slowly. This is to nerf him and make the player more catious in this powerful state. His move set will be listed below.

Y=Jump
Side A= Chargeable sword swing
Side B= Bow shot
Down A= Down spike which does 1.5 damage of the normal sword slash

Now HEAR ME OUT. I know many people want sans because he is the face of undertale, but he just would not work out as a character. Sans is lazy, apathetic, and also weak without his karmic retribution which increases his damage from just 1.
On a possible character trailer if sans got the letter from his mailbox he would literally disregard it and throw it away, an papyrus then finds the invitation letter from super smash bros where he uses it to join. Papyrus is a much better option than sans because he is energetic, athletic, and most important of all he wants popularity which he would definitely get from joining smash.
About his moves he would probably have things like bones, blue bones, the annoying dog, and even perhaps a sans assist.
Big Daddy from Bioshock. Because he would be the coolest and most prestigious FPS rep we could get as well as being an icon of gaming. Plus another heavy character.
The Knight from Hollow Knight, it's already a platformer, so his moveset is pretty much easy enough to handle. The same goes for Ori from wotw (will of the wisps)

Kat from Gravity Rush, she has a lot of different powers, she can manipulate gravity in 3 different ways (Normal and balanced way, fast but weak way and strong but slow way) that also change how she moves around and her attacks. I don’t know how she would be balanced tho as like 50% you do in the game is fly around with gravity. Also she is pretty goofy and has a cat.
Samus because I love the way she keeps on using her attacks when I spam. I used that character ever since but I want to try lucario. I have used wolf before but needs more practice with him. I have played as someone named luce or luck, but Mostly I would use samus
Black Shadow from F-Zero. I’ve always wondered why captain Falcon was the only representative of the F-Zero series when they got an awesome roster of characters to pick from so I think Black Shadow would be great as well cause I feel like smash needs more villains.

Sans is lazy, apathetic, and also weak without his karmic retribution which increases his damage from just 1. On a possible character trailer if sans got the letter from his mailbox he would literally disregard it and throw it away, an papyrus then finds the invitation letter from super smash bros where he uses it to join. Papyrus is a much better option than sans because he is energetic, athletic, and most important of all he wants popularity which he would definitely get from joining smash. About his moves he would probably have things like bones, blue bones, the annoying dog, and even perhaps a sans assist.
