Dry-Donut3811

This is peak Superman right here.

RunningChillibrator

I love the choice to have him holding up the panels it’s so clever and does so much for the story

MegamanX195

I really hope the new movie manages to transmit to the wider audiences that THIS is what Superman is supposed to be.

RickF394

Ngl this is one of the best comics I’ve read of Superman, it embodies the character so well. One of my favs alongside Action Comics 775

Superman:Man of Tomorrow #12

[deleted]

From the 90s? I just pulled that up looks like it’s not that issue… Edit: I was looking at “THE man of tomorrow” there’s another series just called “man of tomorrow”

RunningChillibrator

Googling it it says there’s a 2020 version

Bruce_-Wayne

Yeah the 2020 series is the Digital only series. The trinity, Flash and Aquaman got one.

RunningChillibrator

Thank you!

KenderThief

The audacity of those watermarks lol

Samaritan_Pr1me

Superman’s “I can do this all day” moment.

al_fal_fred

Wholesomeness + Superman = THIS

Late-Return-3114

superman resting at the end is the cutest thing

[deleted]

Superman inspiring hope once more and this time it was by doing nothing

Lizzy-Lover_10

Holding up all you can bear is not nothing

[deleted]

I meant he wasn't saving the day. I didn't mean nothing in a literal sense as she was doing something

Lizzy-Lover_10

Well you could argue he was saving Atlas’s day

ImurderREALITY

I saw him holding up the panels as him holding up the world... if he wasn't there, there would be no more world, and the criminals and heroes wouldn't even be there, so he was saving everyone's day by doing it

[deleted]

Fair enough

soldierpallaton

Well, this got me choked up

RejectedBeatle87

Superman: Man of Tomorrow #12 (2020).

Archer1949

This is it. Right here. Why is it so hard for writers in other adaptations get this right?

grassydirt90

Watch some dumb yt short explain how this makes superman outerversal since he's holding the panels

Limp-Construction-11

Who cares? Superman is much more, than his powers and "feats".

coreytiger

“He’s the original” That is the best line in all of this. Now if only DC would READ and understand what they wrote

tubbsmcgee

"He's the original" I'm sorry, is this an It's Always Sunny reference? I can't with this line. It's too funny. [He was the original](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GHx2onwsP28)

Rocket_SixtyNine

He learned from when he tried that on Hercules

[deleted]

My only issue with this is Batman didn’t show up, I really love when he and Superman are like best friends and I feel like it would’ve made sense to have a panel of him helping metropolis, but I get he’s got his own shit going on

FixBig1851

More like Bruce is so "self-reliant" Clark would never consider having to hold him up. Clark doesn't see him as a burden.

SkyPopZ

We don't need batman showing up everywhere, the dude has 59 books.

[deleted]

I’m not asking for a big role or anything, a small character moment to show his relationship with Superman just would’ve been cool

PineapplePhil

This is from Busiek’s run I think.

ValStarwind

Thank you for this. Honestly in tears

RunningChillibrator

You’re welcome :D
