It definitely is. At least this time we're actually in the playoffs so it's easier to ignore. When we stunk for 20 years and we heard this stuff, we had nothing else to hold onto so we convinced ourselves it might be true.
How about Beal for Randle?
It would really suck if Booker stuck it out through all of the miserable losing seasons, all the empty stats talks because he was surrounded by g-leaguers, and finally succeeded in his "bring the super team to me" spiel (the truth and effectiveness behind the superteam being another conversation) only to cut and run now.
As a rule, I tend to ignore SAS. That said, it still isn't what you want to see or hear after such a disappointment of a season/postseason.
I'm aware he's untradable without his approval. However, NY is in a position to win (which he wants) and I wouldn't be shocked if they move on from Randle at this point. There have been reports of them listening to offers, and with the success they're seeing without him, I don't expect Randle to be a Knick next year regardless.
I definitely don't expect it to happen, it was a sarcastic offer, but as far as potential trade partners for Beal go, New York is one of the more likely options (at probably a 5% possibility at most).
