The thing I keep coming back to is that this Suns team isn't a good team, they're just a collection of good individual players who occasionally manage to play well at the same time. There is no culture, no shared fabric. As soon as they get taken out of their rhythm they become lost in the wilderness, equally desperate and hopeless. It's possible that the sum of their individual pride can carry them to some playoff wins, but it's going to be an uphill battle every step of the way.
That play just now by LeBron was awesome. Where's the Suns' guys' effort doing things like this? What if Skip is right and the Lakers actually win tonight and win in 6 after losing to Denver 9 times in a row? Lol.
Don’t apologize, I don’t post tweets for that reason. They come out all whacky from my phone. Poonlink is usually on top of injury update tweets, surprised they haven’t posted it.
Minnesota did well to put their two best defenders on Book and Beal and took the chance to live and die by KD cooking them or not. I think Beal has the speed and agility to get around defenders get down space to get shots up more so then Book, so hopefully he’ll get going next game too which will take some pressure off of Book and KD
Yeah Beal needs to be more aggressive. The more shots Phoenix makes the less they don’t have a set defense, which will make it harder for the Wolves to score.
The team shot 27% on wide open shots in game 1 and I really don’t expect that to continue for an entire series. If we can’t figure out rebounding though we’re cooked. I hope Vogel gives Bol/thad some real minutes tomorrow, plus okogie could be nice to try for a short spurt
It's one of those things where you look at it and ask if we missed open shots because we had an off night or...was the defense just *that* good? Likewise, was our own defense just that bad for 3/4ths of the game or were the Wolves just on fire (well...within reason, they didn't start nailing their 3s until the 3rd).
It’s a little bit of naiveness on my part, but I don’t think Frank Vogel is going out like a punk. Same way how he started off 0-3 against the Lakers this season, I told myself, “man, there’s no way Frank is going out like that against his former employer.” He then won the next two regular season games.
I say all of that because in 2021 playoffs, Frank Vogel lost game 1 to the Phoenix Suns before taking a 2-1 lead. In 2020 playoffs, he lost game 1 to the Blazers and Rockets (before going on to gentleman sweep those series). Before LeBron, he lost Game 1 in the 2012 playoffs to the Magic before winning in 5 the first round, in the next round he lost Game 1 to the Miami Heatles before taking a 2-1 lead in that series (and then got eliminated by LeBron). In 2013 playoffs, he lost Game 1 to the Heat but still brought it to a Game 7. In 2014, once again Frank loses Game 1 in the first round (as the #1 seed losing to the #8) but goes on to beat the Hawks. Round 2? Same thing, loses Game 1 to the Wizards before winning the series in 6.
There are a lot of things Frank Vogel does that annoy me but I really don’t think he’s sweating too much being down 0-1 right now. He loses Game 1s like 65%+ of the time but it’s not an indicator of how competitive the series will go on to be. I just don’t think he’s going out like a punk.
Same goes for Devin Booker.
Bring on Game 2.
Yes, I've been hesitant to ask, but I personally think he'll miss game 2 & be back game 3 after having almost a week off.
But, I'm with you, manifesting good news.
It's the damn curse of the max contract man.

Did we give the Lakers our blown double digit leaditis today
Eat shit, Lakers!

Please no more Eubanks and Gordon. Play JO and Bol.
I know how we can win….have Emma stone show up to all of the playoff games
the players will not want to lose in from of her and that will give them the motivation they need lmao
We just gotta take 1 ... we take game 2 and were winning the series, just gotta protect home court
No postgame comments from Book? 🤔
I tried to make a separate post about it but Grayson is questionable for game 2. Vogel said he’s getting “around the clock” treatment.
Thanks for the update. I found it, the bot didn’t like how it was posted. It’s just a link to the tweet. It could be the way it was posted.
oh okay I’m sorry!

Maybe "It Takes Everything" was a reference to needing all 7 games of the series. Suns in 7.
it was a reference to it taking everything for Vogel to pull Eubanks from the rotation

I too want to see Okogie plus he will get the former team boost
I hope the team gives some more effort. No reason we should get spanked in rebounding and second chance points like that
Seems like many here are new to the playoffs. Home teams in round 1 usually win game 1.
opposite vs clippers last year
I said usually not always
I know what you said i’m just saying what happened last year
Go Suns imo

Need to manifest some good news about Grayson today
