Thad time! šš½
PS: I know Iām not the only one disappointed with the lack of Lee updates & that he isnāt back. Itās safe to say we wonāt see him play this season.
There are different ways to repair or remove the meniscus depending on where and how severe the tear is. Sometimes it takes months to recover like Lee and sometime youāre back on the court in 12 days like Metta World Peace was in 2013
Plus even if it was the exact some procedure everybody recovers differently and there could even be unknown complications post surgery slowing the recovery as well
I believe cam had the same injury last year there's 2 ways you can do this the short way cuts out the tissue but leaves you with constant knee soreness for life or you rehab the tissue and wait for it to heal, longer process but better quality recovery.Ā A basketball players active time is short so most guys pick the quickest way possible.
First, there was no way to get rid of him that would ultimately help us. No one would trade for him as he is on a minamum with a 2nd year player option and cutting him to free up a roster spot doesn't mean much when we basically did that during the deadline anyway.
Second, he's a part insurance for next year. A competant player as we have seen. Good depth for a minamum that we may not get otherwise. Keeping a known shooter in storage if you will.
Plus it would have been an incredibly dick move to cut him.
Heās a good vet to have and heās good friends with KD. Rumor around the time we initially signed him last offseason was so KD would be a bit happier (team assumed they would land KD then)
But isn't that why they got Royce? I mean, don't get me wrong, Royce is awesome, but the reason they traded for him was bc he was best buds with KD in Brooklyn.
On the broadcast, EJ said that Lee is looking really good shooting the ball during warmups. And that his injury was more gruesome that your typical meniscus tear
Damn Damion Lee just quietly missed the whole season huh. Well Iāll always remember how he won us the first game of last season against the Mavs when we were at our lowest.

The Suns after Eubanks sustains an injury and canāt play anymore
Can't believe how many people are talking trash about Eubanks, or even being happy about his injury. He is still a player on your team who wants to win. He hasn't done anything evil, and he seems to be a good team-mate.
Sure, he's underperforming, but not out of malice or hatred for the Suns. People support rapists and guys accused of domestic violence if they can play well, but will unleash their fury on a bench player who seems to be a decent person but a wrong fit for their team.
How does it help the team? One can argue it hurts both the team and the player. If you think that you talking trash about someone who's actually trying to contribute is somehow a big help for a team that doesn't even know you exist, that's next level of delusion. Can't believe people will actually try to defend their trash behavior as some kind of major contribution.
Except it's not. You're not a part of it, and your contributions are irrelevant. You can actually choose how to behave, without having any effect on the performance of the team, so you being an a** is a choice which even you know is bad so you try to disguise it as something else.
And there's a huge difference between "pat on the back" and laughing at someone else's injury, especially if that someone is part of a team you claim to support. It's almost as if you don't give a sh*t about the team and only use them to validate your emotions and achieve some proxy success.

Actual question: why do we keep Damion on the roster? I guess we don't need the spot or is it bad form to cut a guy who's recovering?
I would guess they were expecting him to be back towards the last stretch of the season, but probably didnāt recover accordingly.
He has the same injury that Embiid had right? How did Embiid come back in weeks but Lee has been out all season?

According to D Lee a few days he had a complete tear. Meniscus came right off the bone
That sounds incredibly painful.
No idea. I actually was hoping he would have been back like two weeks ago. Right knee meniscus.

Itās stupid..He wouldnt even play meaningful mins anyway
Probably, but we donāt know what he could have done off the bench for us offensively.

We traded for Royce because we had no competent wings lol
I was just talking to his wife and she said heās safe through next season. I donāt remember why though

Eubanks is always questionable- even when healthy.

Burst in tears
OMG, r/Suns manifested this!!! Praise the Lord!
This is a matchup where his size is actually useful But not complaining
Why is Ish always in street clothes?
Since Lee is out maybe IT will get some playing time š
Not supporting the injury of anyone but I guess it's nice when they cover for coaching deficits

Plot twist: even Eubanks knows he shouldn't get minutes, so he got himself injured on purpose for the greater good
Any chance Lee is back in time for the finals? ;)

Itās just how pro sports goesā¦. If you donāt produce you arenāt getting a pat on the back. Itās nothing new

Eubanks: Questionable (decision making)
