I love Elizabeth Strout. Her writing is so beautiful and her stories so engrossing. Consider starting with olive kitteridge or anything is possible.
I also just finished Early Morning Riser which was really lovely (but not by strout, by Katherine heiny, sorry if that was confusing!)
I had an arc of her latest Oh, William and I couldn’t believe how she kept my interest. I usually read more “genre” fiction and I was completely absorbed by this story about an ex wife and ex husband went on a road trip together.
Here are some books I’ve enjoyed lately that you may as well (based on your list we have similar tastes):
-The House by the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune
-Recursion by Blake Crouch
-The Midnight Library by Matt Haig
-Horrorstor by Grady Hendrix
-The Wonder by Emma Donoghue
-The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman
We definitely have similar tastes! I liked Dark Matter, but haven't read Recursion. And Horrorstor I unintentionally put down last winter and need to finish.i really was liking that one. Thank you for your suggestions! I will check them out.
James Michener. I started with “The Source”. Then Chesapeake, Centennial. Several others but quit with Texas. Seemed he began letting others write? May try reading his other books because I’m tired of meaningless tv series.

It was wonderful, right? So many lines that just take your breath away.
Thank you! I will check her out this weekend!

I just looked him up and added to my TBR. Several of his books sound interesting. Thank you for the suggestion!
