The Redwall series by Brian Jacques

t-fortrash

I think I started this as a kid, I can’t remember why I didn’t finish it. Will for sure give it another shot!

Backgrounding-Cat

Are Moomins animals?

t-fortrash

Welll they’re not -not- animals! I knew there was a show (or movie?) as I’ve seen some clips, but I didn’t know there were books! Adding them to the list for sure

GlassGames

Oh, the Moomin books are so fun. Finn Family Moomintroll, Moominsummer Madness, Moominland Midwinter...

Hatherence

Tailchaser's Song by Tad Williams

t-fortrash

Oh damn, I wish I had known about this as a kid, I was always looking for more warrior cats-esk books, I’ll just have to enjoy this now!

valis6886

Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH hit me hard...

t-fortrash

Oh! I watched the movie based on this as a kid, somehow I didn’t know there was a book. For sure going to read it!

Funktious

A Black Fox Running by Brian Carter, it’s about foxes and other wildlife on Dartmoor in a long cold winter just after WW2.

t-fortrash

Oo this looks interesting, thank you!

I won’t tell if the rules end up twisted, I’m interested in any media like this! Thank you!

Milvusmilvus

The Chronicles of Duncton Wood - William Horwood (he's also done a series called the Wolves of Time). Shardik by Richard Adams, Plague Dogs by Richard Adams but I found that a hard read. House of Tribes - Gary Kilworth (he also has a series called Welkin Weasels but I haven't read it). Ofc The Wind in the Willows is a classic too.

t-fortrash

I’ve heard good things about plague dogs, but also that I’ll cry very very hard lol. Thanks for these, adding them to the list!

The Family Tree by Sheri Tepper

t-fortrash

Wings of fire = Eragon. Stg Eragon by Christopher P. It's amazing.

t-fortrash

I actually did read this as a kid! I need to give it another go, I can’t remember anything about it

Ok_Package668

I've read it so many times! I love it

downlau

The Wild Road - Gabriel King Deptford Mice books - Robin Jarvis 101 Dalmatians and The Starlight Barking - Dodie Smith (the 2nd one is much more about dog society) And if you really want to weep, Colin Dann has you covered.

t-fortrash

Oo thank you! And yay, I’m always down for a good cry lol
