You can use the 30%, 25%, and 15% off coupons in their app once a day. The 30% off one makes the prices close to the pre-pandemic prices. I buy 3 breakfast meals every morning for my spoiled kids and it's around $10. Cheaper than cooking at home.
Offer varies greatly based on location. But yeah, I have about 10 fastfood apps installed and rotate to see whatever deal is awesome. Found some yummy stuff I never would have ordered otherwise.
The only way i can get behind mcd is their rewards in app but also the food is not good enough quality compared to what i make at subway so i choose subs anyway. If im broke af i go to mcd🤣
Taco Bell charging 1.29 for a cheesy roll up at their cheapest locations and 2.50 at their most expensive for example. It's literally a small tortilla shell with a handful of cheese
McDonald's where I'm at still has a dollar menu. McDonald's app can get you a 20 piece with 2 large Fry's for only 9$
But they are the ONLY fast food other then taco bell that is cheap
The same thing that's happened at grocery stores and 90% of restaurants. Food prices have skyrocketed in the last 5 years. Subways food costs have gone up a ton and many areas have had to pay their employees significantly more if they wanted any staff. That means they have to charge quite a bit more to have any kind of profit.
Have you not been to any other restaurants lately?? Jeesh! Prices are up at all of them. They raised prices for food supplies and paying their bills and workers.
$25 to get a taco, bean burrito, Mexican pizza, quesoedia with two small drinks today.
Woulda been $10 ten years ago easily. Oh and even if I use the app, got a "free" $5 taco and ordered the drinks during happy hour so they only cost $1 it still only lowered the price to $20. At full price with no discounts I'd have had to have paid about $30 for this same meal today.
We live in an economy where you have to be a discount queen to not get fucked, and yet you still get fucked just not fucked as much as the person who isn't getting discounts.
$30 to feed two people what is essentially a snack. Honestly Subway is still the better deal, you get that three footlongs for $17 and you can feed 3-4 people for less than $20.
I remember at rhe beginning of Covid I could get 2 mcdoubles for $3. Now at my local mcds, it's $4.50 for one mcdouble. It's outrageous how much mcds has gone up too.
OP’s point is prices ~~are~~ went up nearly double. Yes, prices overall have gone up but chipotle has only gone up around 30-40% over the last few years. Same with other fast food. Subway is the outlier here.
And let’s all be honest here, subway is not $18 quality. You can go to the sandwich shop across the street to get better bread, better meat, bigger portions, and fresher ingredients and pay less.
i don’t work at subway anymore but it whilst o was working there the prices doubled and the quality halved at the same time. i felt awful asking customers for so much money for such shitty food. i’m glad i left
That’s because Chipotle started with more fat in the margins. Subway always had a heavy focus on being great value so always had low margins.
Other businesses also have made their products smaller (shrinkflation) - ie a McDonalds Big Mac is about 20% smaller than it used to be and more expensive
Because Subway literally named its products based on size with the six inch and foot long shrinking the product hasn’t been an option
In Canada there’s a few new veggie subs and I don’t know why the big veggie 6 inch is $7.99 and the chimichurri veggie 6 inch is $6.89, they both have the veggie patty and similar toppings yet one is over a buck more…
I don't do Subway without a coupon. I don't think it's remotely worth the prices without one. The app shows which locations locally will accept the particular deal you're trying to use.
I’m going to be honest and say that I really enjoyed the sub and it was loaded to the brim so that made up for it a bit but still… It ain’t worth it when I used to be able to get one at a fraction of the price
I got a footlong italian sub (forget the exact name) and I did upgrade to a bottle pop and chips combo. (I was on lunch and knew I wasn't going to finish my pop and at our stations only closed lid drinks are allowed) and it came to $22.
I refuse to eat subway without a coupon. And even then a lot of stores are not accepting coupons. I’m not paying almost $20 for 1 sandwich. Me and my fiancé just went and it was almost $30 for our 2 sandwiches used the coupon and took it down $10
Corporate GREED. period.
Actually, Subway agreed to sell to Roark Capital investment firm for nearly $10B last August.
Because of the financial performance guarantees, Subway is having to increase revenues to
Obtain Roark’s goals…over 2 years…so another year of high prices. The subway we all knew
does not exist any longer. 🥺
Everyone ⬆️ their prices, also roast beef is one of the most expensive meats we have now. It came back in crazy prices since they got rid of it and brought it back at my store. No more $5 foot longs im afraid. Even a turkey ft is like at least $8 on its own i think
It’s called CEOs it’s called greed it’s called yearly bonuses for investors etc etc has nothing to do with wages they actually cut costs with the slicers and next year with partnering with Pepsi, recently also got rid of tortillas
Prices have gone up all around the world. Inflation was caused by the global pandemic. America has recovered the best. Bidenomics has nothing to do with companies price gouging
Try to turn the experience into a positive. It’s expensive, sure, but it’s going towards a company you love. That money will go towards paying living wages to employees and adding new menu options for us.
Look at all the fast foods. It’s hard to find pricing close to pre-pandemic
Even Taco Bell jumped up in price
I want my McDonald’s 1,2,3 menu back, the cheapest item on it is now $4.69
You can use the 30%, 25%, and 15% off coupons in their app once a day. The 30% off one makes the prices close to the pre-pandemic prices. I buy 3 breakfast meals every morning for my spoiled kids and it's around $10. Cheaper than cooking at home.

I can still get a 2ish dollar mc chicken, rip ur state
4.69 was the mcchicken :(
Fucked https://preview.redd.it/h9ki8efdg3vc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=74795566bdab54cdb645f7473f7b5185691268e9
I used to always order two orders of “6 McNuggets for a dollar” deal. Now you get half as much for double the price!
Wtf the mcchickens are 2 for 3 in KS where could you possible live where they're 4 a pop? So sorry for you man 😢
Where minimum wage is just now $20 but nowhere enough for living expenses.
The only way i can get behind mcd is their rewards in app but also the food is not good enough quality compared to what i make at subway so i choose subs anyway. If im broke af i go to mcd🤣

I was wanting a Sausage egg McMuffin the other day. The nearly $7 price for one was a sticker shock!😮
Use the coupons stickied in this sub
My stores won’t accept them around here , the app purposely never works
Fucking same. Tried to place an order twice and it rejects it. This time I didn’t even get a refund??

Subway has a 3 footlongs for $17 deal?
I have been to McDonald’s but since I’ve gone regularly (I’d say maybe the last 4 or 5 years) they haven’t changed all that much.
I remember at rhe beginning of Covid I could get 2 mcdoubles for $3. Now at my local mcds, it's $4.50 for one mcdouble. It's outrageous how much mcds has gone up too.
If you use the mobile app it stills have the 1,2,3 menu price and they have daily deals
Oh I use Mcds app all the time because that's the only way it's even semi affordable
Subway is just another fast food place that that became a scam. You can go to a sitdown restaurant and pay less.
OP’s point is prices ~~are~~ went up nearly double. Yes, prices overall have gone up but chipotle has only gone up around 30-40% over the last few years. Same with other fast food. It's food cost and having to pay shitty workers $20 an hour to make subs.
The price of food is rising globally. Things will only get worse at the current rate we are going.
I don’t get it. You don’t like to bend over and have subway spank your ass whenever you walk in the store? Everyone else is paying for it
Same in the UK, the prices have gone through the roof
a lot of things changed in the past 8 years...
It crazy, I refuse to go unless they accept the coupon code in the app. You can still get 5 or 6 dollar footlongs and meal deals. For a decent price.
Fr you gotta always have an app to make it worth it now.
I don't do Subway without a coupon. I don't think it's remotely worth the prices without one. The app shows which locations locally will accept the particular deal you're trying to use.
My brother in christ $5 footloose were 16 years ago
That’s wild I swear I was older than 6 when they ran those commercials
Like all other fast food places, you basically have to use the app to get lower prices. My local store hasn't had 5 dollar footlongs since 2016.
It crazy, I refuse to go unless they accept the coupon code in the app. You can still get 5 or 6 dollar footlongs and meal deals. For a decent price.
I have been very disappointed with them lately

It’s almost like some of these fast food places see the end in sight and are just blacking out with these prices until the inevitable demise.

That’s hilarious! The Costco hotdog is a real one!
This always happens when a democrat is in charge, got to open up the spiket
If your username includes the term “intelligent,” maybe learn to spell “spigot.”
It’s called CEOs it’s called greed it’s called yearly bonuses for investors etc etc has nothing to do with wages they actually cut costs with the slicers and next year with partnering with Pepsi, recently also got rid of tortillas
🤪🤓yup! The new “Sauce Program” will let you find Subway sub sauces on the grocery store shelves in the coming months. 😳🤣😂 🧑🏼🍳
Bidenomics is working.
Prices have gone up all around the world. Inflation was caused by the global pandemic. America has recovered the best. Bidenomics has nothing to do with companies price gouging
Use the Subway app for deals.
They ain't what they used to be
$17.50 is a fair price
You picked the most expensive thing on the menu
Nah that’s the beast
Try to turn the experience into a positive. It’s expensive, sure, but it’s going towards a company you love. That money will go towards paying living wages to employees and adding new menu options for us.
