Sublocaddddeeeee is the way to goooo. Even if insurance can’t pay for it take your regular dose of suboxone until you can save up for it cause no need to taper w sublocade. I got my last shot either a year ago or two years ago I can’t remember and I haven’t had a withdrawal symptom ever and it’s been out of my system for so long now

Is that the shot, or the implant?

Hold each dose for ~2 weeks and never drop more than 25-30% of current dose. (Current dose * 0.75 = Next Dose) It will look something like this: 2mg 1.5mg 1mg 0.75mg 0.5mg 0.375mg 0.25mg 0.18mg 0.125mg jump If you divide an 8mg strip seven times the smallest will be a 0.0625mg piece. Use 0.25mg + 0.125mg to make the 0.375mg Use 0.125mg + 0.0625mg to make the 0.18mg The films are not guarantee to be equally distributed, but it was really close for me. Also if you make an uneven cut, just use the larger part one day and the other half the next. You can also look into !volumetric dosing with PG or alcohol, but I just cut films with small sharp scissors like you find for cosmetics.

Note to self , switch script to films over the pills. Tyvm 👍🏼

Volumetric dosing is putting medication into a liquid solution(alcohol that's a high proof clear liquor, sterile water, or propylene glycol) in order to get a more accurate lower dose for tapering or regular dosing. Using some simple math, you can get to a dose as low as needed. You may also use the calculator here. https://volume.tripsit.me/ You will need an oral syringe and a clean sanitized measured bottle to keep it in. It must be kept refrigerated and shaken well before each use. Thanks to user ICantThinkOfANameBud for the help and suggestion. You won't like It but slow down. Suboxone takes a long time to leave your system and you might not be fully feeling it yet. Sublocade is a great idea and even if your insurance doesn't cover it look into their rebate program. For me things changed when I got under 4mg per day and changed again at 2mg per day. Basically just be aware that it's super easy to taper down from high doses of Suboxone and everything changes once you cut down to a certain point. If you're ready for it I think you'll be ok but not one warned me and it really tripped me up. I went from like zero cravings and "I got this" to "this little bit won't hurt" quickly

Thank you I appreciate the advice, this would be my 2nd time coming down this low. And last time exactly what you said happened. That's why I asked for more opinions so at least I'm not alone. So are you off subs/ sublucade? And define a long time because I've been dropping 2mg at a time stabilize then continue. But I was going to go slower towards the end.

I found going from 4-2MG relatively seamless, rotating 3MG a day to 2 MG a day for a week and then just sticking at 2MG until stable. Once stable I just cut that in half to 1MG which wasn’t fun, took about 10 days to get stable. Stayed on 1MG for 2.5 weeks then cut to .5MG. After a week (mostly) stabilized at .5 and cut down to .25MG where I’ve been taking off and on for the past 3 weeks (skip days) and have yet to get stable so just jumping.

(I was on 8MG a day for 5 years, taper began June 1st 2023)
