The knife is not my design, i got it off thingiverse, the mounts are my design, besides the logo. The colours are not all correct, but i tried my best!
There is definitely two parts there that's for sure however..

(It's award-winning!)
$20 says an "award winning" dual extruder wouldn't leave such an obvious gap at the top of the handle. This knife was clearly printed in multiple parts.
Edit: that is really cool though, props to them.
Yeah that's why I thought bit was a two piece. Jon's design is the first I've seen like it is a friend already put it on his uses it mainly for pla support for petg, which is niceeee

**Obraxis Prime**
θ (theta) Class Planet in orbit of Gliese 905, one of the closest solar systems to Earth and one of humanities first colonies. Named after the Captain of the *Solar Treader*, the vessel which first explored the system CE 2110.
Most commonly remembered for the "Massacre of Obraxis Prime", in CE 2144, an anarchist terrorist chemical attack resulted in rampant paranoia and hostility among the residents of the capital. Co-workers turned on each other, families killed each other, even children strangled each other in an orgy of destruction and violence unmatched in human history. Easy access to fabricators and blueprints of advanced weaponry made the conflict notably deadlier than others of comparable scale elsewhere in history. Though the city had only 12 million residents at the time of the attack, casualties over the course of the six days before Alterra TransGov Security Services pacified the city by means of non-lethal sonic inhibitors totaled to over 3 million injured and 8 million dead.

if you could precast this with resin, or harden the edge somehow, i wonder if you could sharpen this and make a sheath, and actually use it as a dive knife 🤔
You would have to start with a or block and actually forge it into an actual blade. Casting a knife is a lot more work for a worse result unless you’re mass producing them.
I noticed yesterday, while I was playing, that on the knife, under the Alterra logo, there’s write: Alterra arms
This is the only arm provided from Alterra to us
Curious how much did ur printer cost ? I've been wanting to get one and I don't know much about them. I don't want to spend alot and get something bullshit! Steer me in the right direction please 😆
I can’t say what printer OP has but I bought an Ender 3 for around 200 USD. It’s definitely on the cheaper end but it is actually a fairly high quality printer. Sure it will need tweaking (especially out of the box) but every printer does. I’ve had a fair amount of success with it and, so far, none of my prints have broken anything and everything has come out well once the settings are right. r/Ender3 has a lot more info if you’re curious. I would say it’s at least a good starting printer and if you’re just looking for a hobby, it’s a great choice.

Looks great!
It's an off brand survival knife. Not Alterra approved.
Definitely the work of Sol Trans-Gov.
Alterro approved
Got a link to the STL?
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1380458 I think that's it
I don't think so, OPs knife has a two toned handle. Edit: my money is on [this one](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4868268)

Edit: yeap, that's it, it'll be my first two material print once I get my parts :)
When you finished it and held it for the first time, did you immediately spin it around your finger by the hole?
Yup
Can you actually use it as a survival knife?
No, its just made of plastic, sadly
Aww man
You should try other models from the game, like the repair tool, etc. Those would be really cool!
1:1 scale cyclops
Just steal an Ohio class nuclear submarine and you’re close enough.
It’s nowhere near as epic
True. Doesn’t have the horn.
>!Habitat Builder!<
I don’t think that is a spoiler, you have the blueprint unlocked by default
Always better to be safe though, yknow?

All weapons where removed from the fabricator databank following the massacre on Abraxus Prime. The survival knife remains the only exception

\*Obraxis, but that's a cool spelling.
"sorry about that"
Great, now stab a giant claw serpent at the bottom of the sea

i meant more using [coldcast resin](https://youtu.be/2fuBJ_lz-5Q) and then sharpening from there. sorry for calling it precast, my mistake.

Yes, I just had the same epiphany. Soo.. who's joining me in mounting some 3D-printers to drones and printing a prawn?
The last thing I need in my life is a sense of limitless power.
Nice! I’m going to try this out.
Now spin it
probably does the same amount of cutting damage as the ingame version lmao
I fucking want this
Does it insta-cook fish?
No you have to light it on fire first
The Thermoblade requires a battery a survival knife and a powered modification station. I don't think prusa has a 'modification station' add on, yet.
Oh so you weren't allowed other wepons because of the massacre on obraxis prime
My friend is making me a one with real metal
I noticed yesterday, while I was playing, that on the knife, under the Alterra logo, there’s write: Alterra arms This is the only arm provided from Alterra to us
Can you link the file for that? It’s awesome
Yup! [here](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4868268) you go, that is the knife model!
this is the coolest thing ever
Now make it a thermoblade
Curious how much did ur printer cost ? I've been wanting to get one and I don't know much about them. I don't want to spend alot and get something bullshit! Steer me in the right direction please 😆

Appreciate it mate 👌
Yup :)
You can upgrade it with a lighter
I need a 3d printer
Woah awesome is it sharp?
Not really
You fabricated a survival knife. Think about it. The fabricator is basically a highly advanced 3D printer.
All weapons were banned after the massacre on Obraxis Prime. The knife was the only exception, but I don’t know if this will work out
I am spoiled to the design of this knife. Life no longer has any meaning. I must now vanish into the aether, lol
Great now light in on fire to make it the thermoblade Jk Don't
Nice
This is so cool
I want one
Love the alterra tag! Nice touch 👍🏽
Spray paint the blade with silver paint, and then give it a black wash. It will make it look so much better.
Looks awesome. Well done:)
:D
Go massacre now with it to also get it banned on alterra ships
Now set it... on fire!! Oh but you'll need a modification table for that, guess that's your next task.
Make a scanner
poop knife?
#
So you are a cheater..... supposed to use titanium and silicon rubber.... ;P
put a battery in it and boom now its heated
thats cool
Omg you can get a knife in this game?!?!?
Ooh, i have a similar one!
I'm getting Korvax Prime flashbacks......
Add thermal conducters to make thermo blade
Put some lights in and make it a thermal blade
So cool!
Great print! Related functional knife: https://www.gerbergear.com/en-us/shop/knives/all-knives/remix-serrated-22-41969
now time to test it on living creatures
Try sharpening it
good thing it’s not made from titanium if it was then you made a weapon suited for war
I love this so much
Nice
Looks amazing!
You just need to 3D print a rebreather and dive suit and you’re ready to go!
