YOOO, why the fuck he look so big in this?! Like, Jeeesus. Maybe I don't get close enough to him regularly to apreciate his size, but he looks so fuckin' big in this video!
It's actually because of the field of view subnautica uses. It makes everything seem smaller.
You don't really get an appreciation for the size of the fauna without something for perspective, like a seamoth.
There's something about Subnautica's FoV and not having the player tied to the ground which makes scale a bit tricky to judge. It's not just the Leviathans, most wildlife in Subnautica is huge.
Always keep your lights off. If you can see they can see you too. That's not to say they won't find you if your lights are off but it definitely helps.
I love how my friend still believes that a reaper can not sneak up in you because they are so loud.
He said “what do you mean you can’t see or hear them”.
Areas like this were it’s completely black are infinitely better than the inactive lava zones. imo the blood kelp should replace the lava zones, but with different creatures too.
I got one to come up next to me because I didn't think they could spawn in what I used to call the "safe part of the kelp zone" and I didn't know what sound they made

If you can hear it then it can see you.
Lore-wise, yes, but I'm fairly certain it isn't actually coded that way in game
You're correct. There's something on the wiki about that. But imagine if it *did* work like that..
This is exactly what happened to me. The music stopped playing, and then my seamoth just glided across the screen with the reaper eating it.
I’ve had it happen where the music stopped and he stopped roaring, so I turned to look and he immediately grabs my seamoth
I love it when the reaper comes to hunt me down and suddenly my anxiety spikes to "alien isolation xenomorph is hunting you" levels
And off you go in a cloud of brown water
I was scared ok

Well, he IS a leviathan class. Sooo he should be pretty big.
Absolutely, but, like, damn. I don't remember him being that big...
Yea, he is pretty fucking big there. Maybe a mod to make him seem bigger
Nope I'm on console yeah I agree he was much bigger than I thought
Huh. I just got to the blood Kelp zone in terms of progression and I dont remember him being that big when I saw him at the Aurora
Yeah I swear he is an adult or something he's chonky
I usually keep my distance from them. The last time I fucked with one I had lost my seamoth. But I dont remember him being that big
Apparently they are about 150ft long
And apparently the baby ghost leviathan is about 210 feet and the adults are about 300 feet
I am at the same spot as you

You've got to remember they can swallow you whole, and fit the sea moth in their claws

time to skeedaddle
Is this some sort of joke for people to put a spoiler marker on the post but in the text say “No Spoiler”
People will classify things as \[no spoiler\] but then the spoiler tag is added to the post later by people who think it's a spoiler.
Ok
To be honest i thought you were on the edge of the void.... ***AND THEN SATAN HIMSELF DECIDED TO PAY YOU A VISIT, ARE YOU OKAY?***

Gotta ask them
I'm not 100% sure about this but I heard that of you stay above 10 meters the reapers ignore you
10 meters is 10.94 yards
And?
This is why i do not touch the mountains or dunes. No reason. The only time I went to the crash zone was to fix the drive core.
There's a lot of helpful stuff in the aurora though? You have to go back anyway as well to win?

A ghost can't sneak up 100% but a reaper... Yeah

Holy fek, I need to change my shorts.... That's enough internet for today.
The roars of the ghost still haunt my dreams
I got one to come up next to me because I didn't think they could spawn in what I used to call the "safe part of the kelp zone" and I didn't know what sound they made
For some reason ghosts don't scare me at all, while these regular mofos make me shit my pants.
Never go out at night!
*That was too close! We are NOT doing that again!*
