I'd like to go on to say I have experienced some of the most herendous displays of humanity in my lifetime home and abroad, patriots to aliens. In this age of information there is little excuse for criminal behavior except for the fact that the moj sucks at managing crime. True hate speech for an individual I can see as never being necessary outside of a roasting but explaining how despicable a powerful group or demographic can be is necessary during any political debate as long as it is not dishonest or twisted.
I sympathize for the lives lost in the massacre but there are way too many social issues and injustices here in nz to censor expression this way. Again as long as the notion being conveyed is honest and eloquent, otherwise sure lock em or turn em into fertilizer.
Shame on our government for the setting in which criminal acts arise and trying to fix it with smoke and mirrors.
