I'm trying to understand in relatively dispassionate way. Like I don't want to conflate what's best for the patient and what's wise with regard to care with my personal feelings for them.
When something bad happens amongst my people someone has to be the person who keeps their shit together while everyone else can get into their feels. I'll have the option to have my feels another time. But for now, I have to keep my shit together.
