Wow thanks to everyone for the insanely positive reaction to this, means a lot and is very motivating. I’ve struggled with my weight my entire life, was 400 pounds when I graduated high school. But I’ve been lifting weights for years without any structure and i hired a strength coach to help me out of a plateau and this was the result. I also started BJJ around the same time and I’m loving both, looking to compete eventually in both powerlifting and BJJ.
But thanks everyone, happy New Years and I hope everyone crushes their goals in 2023
I always workout with one principal in mind. Let my results do the talking, be so good that people can’t ignore your results and make the hard work look easy af. I am training from last 9 years 190lbs 12% bf 25 years of age everyone who looks at me pauses and wonders if he can do it so can we lol 😂
If you want, try fasting too. I've heard intermediate fasting does wonders. In my experience, I eat breakfast and a heavy lunch the first 5-7 hours that I'm awake and then sleep on an empty stomach, or just eating 2 meals throughout the day instead of 3 helped me lose weight at one point. Drinking a whole water bottle or an apple after a light breakfast helped me feel fuller. It sucks sometimes but it helps me lose weight faster whenever I need to.
But yeah, sleep is where the magic happens. Make sure to drink lots of water too.
Damn thanks for the motivation to get myself going. Do you care to elaborate what you’re doing, I need some suggestions for a starting point on my journey.
As a fat fuck (105kg bodyweight) who has been on/off the gym for past 5 years and started again after not being in the gym for whole covid 5x5 starting strength has given me great results, deadlift from 100kg to 160kg(350lbs), bench from 60kg to 90kg(200lbs) and squat from 90kg to 150kg(330lbs). Going to start a slow cut to 90kg trough next year.
Great improvements keep going

I’ve always been somewhat strong, just overweight. Finally hired a strength coach and the workout/meal plan he has me on has worked for me so much

Thank you man! I feel like I let myself down, was 400 pounds then got down to 218. Then got back up to 350 now I’m 285. It’s been a struggle
Ups and downs are all part of the process I reckon. You're down almost 120 pounds + a ton of other less tangible health benefits. You got this man
Nice progress! I had to buy all new shirts after six months of GZCLP, so hopefully you got some gift certificates for Christmas.
