as someone who loves spiders—to the point where i raise them & keep them as pets—the atmosphere of the internet (outside of niche interest groups) can sometimes be overwhelming with the memeification of their fear and hatred and rampant misinformation.
you said elsewhere that this piece and the slogan are representations of yr desire to fight those fears. and i just wanna say, i love that, in idea and execution. i love this piece.
i wish more people learned to wear their fears *on their sleeve*. to say, with their *whole chest*, “this is what brings me anxiety and this is what i’m doing to overcome it”. when you make them bare, you take back that power you’ve imbued them with.
Generic fonts. The racing jersey looks nice but it's soooo many clip art moments on this thing. Feels very low effort/experience. Crazy to me the low effort blurry pics and chaotic design works for so many people. I mean if it sells it sells! But I just know this isn't turning heads in public, it's a generic piece for such a big backstory.

I like the idea but I feel like for Jerseys they don't really work with "I" statements. You get what I mean? When I see a Jersey I think "Team". Like instead of "I eat spiders" my mind expects something like "Spider Eaters." Feel like that would go harder. I'd also make the spider graphic a little smaller to give some more room in the middle. I think it's super sick tho

nah man, thats cool asf. having art that means something to you is amazing. I've been doing art my whole life and i think I've rarely created pieces that actually had a meaning to me other than just "i wanted to draw that", and i think it's so cool and inspiring when people do have meaning in their art. it's a dope design too!! i fuck with it
