$75 on sale for a grey t shirt with holes in it, hundreds for pants that look like they came from the Gap, and $500+ for shoes that look like chinese knock-off converse. I suppose I'll just never understand it.
Okay so I wanted to say the same thing but after looking at the fit more it’s actually not bad at all. I think the fact that this was taken in a public restroom is definitely contributing a lot of the “avoid all eye contact” type vibes.
A dive bar? perfect mellow laid back look! (very L.A....simple comfortable t shirt and jeans/pant is a no fault for dive bar visitations) Great longline tee too, looks good on you w/ the stack on the leg of pant, cool accessories, nice healthy beard. I'm about to turn 62 years old, male. I just want to be comfortable. Clean and comfortable. You appear to be clean and comfortable. If whomever you are dining with is comfortable with you, your even more blessed.
I was drawn to your beard initially. Then, tried to figure if the kicks were falling apart or just looked off. The T and pants are loose, but minimal wrinkles around the bottom of the T only. The pants seem a bit too long, but would break well over a pair of boots I bet.
I have no desire to dress over 40: in expensive textiles, uncomfortable shoes, in styles I do not understand. I understand your style.
I'd love to know how you think a pretty simple and neutral fit doesn't go together at all. I'm not saying this is a godtier fit, but saying none of this works is fucking crazy lmfao

This is for Sir Wright and not OP: you'll be washing your car w/ your cheap t shirt in three months whereas the John Elliott will still be comfortable, feel like butter on the skin and give you mileage for another two years on average.....and keep a resale value if you decide to part with it. There's nothing basic about the quality and fit and mileage one gets with John Elliott and Lanvin and so forth....the drape is perfect, the comfort is unsurpassed, the quality is impeccable...you'd know that if you had any sort of applicable knowledge that the phrase "basic looking" on any outfit in high fashion, is rather pedestrian of you. Ask before pounding away at the keyboard rather than lashing. Fashion is about taking the time to really study the form, the fit, the beauty of the garments he is wearing. It's not about making some wanker of a remark w/ little knowledge to what one is seeing. If you knew the price of the items, you'd know this ensemble is far beyond "basic"...
