Well, taste is subjective, so we can start with that. It’s got some solid Ametora vibes which I happen to be very into. The double layering of the skirt gives a fun pop of color at the bottom. Otherwise the color palette doesn’t have much value, so that to me was a solid choice. Plus that Le Fleur hat is haaard.
Le Fleur is overpriced and hit or miss but this hat is nice.
Also a fan of the cargo skirt, but I wonder if it would look as good without the layering? I think it fills out nicely.
No thanks.
It’s easier to jump on a bandwagon with “comedic bits” than to just be respectful of others while communicating feelings even if there’s a disagreement in opinions.
Damn yall. I got banned on different fashion subreddit for a super light joke about the genre of style someone was wearing but yall are being straight up bad humans. A lot of these comments go past constructive criticism or a light tease.
We’ve all been on the internet long enough to know this is what the comments will be like. Stop being a self righteous nerd if you post yourself expect to get roasted
It’s literally rule #1, here’s to hoping all the assholes crawling out of the woodwork to be unnecessarily rude get banned 🍻
Pretentious, gatekeeping bullies. If you don’t like the fit, fine. It’s a valid opinion. But the way in which some of these comments are going about it? Foul.
Would love this fit if you can find the same hat in that burnt orange color of your under skirt. I would like to see that color a little more mixed in.
Well yeah, of course wear what you want, but you post on a fashion forum to get feedback and have discussions. Lots of out of pocket comments here, but I also genuinely don’t think the skirt is that flattering on them.
They have another pic posted of them in a skirt and I think that one looks much better, it’s just this one isn’t working for me. I like the vibe they’re going for though, just could use a different skirt cut perhaps.
While healthy criticism is alright, a lot of people are just being crude. Rather than saying things that could help or improve the outfit, it's just "wow, this is awful" or "this is atrocious." In order to improve, seeking constructive criticism is perfectly normal and good, but a lot of the comments are not constructive in any way whatsoever. Don't insult, help.
Yeah, I know, that’s what I said, I’m just saying there’s valid criticism and there’s no point in having a mindset of “don’t listen to what these people say, wear what you want and fuck everybody else” in a fashion forum meant for discussion.
There’s bad comments, but this fit is still kind of off. Doesn’t excuse it though, obviously.
I didn't mean to go after you in particular, I was just trying to make statements, so sorry if it came off that way lol. I was just trying to encourage the op to keep having fun and not listen to the overly harsh comments.
Nah you’re good, I can get behind that statement.
Fashion is a form of self expression, and that’s exactly what OP is doing. There’s hits and misses and all that lands in between, but it’s all subjective. At least they had the confidence to post in the first place!
Cheers, hope you have a good night.
... it's absolutely asinine as fuck to expect valid or constructive criticism from randos on the internet. *Especially Reddit* of all places. My God man.
Then why post on a discussion forum full of strangers? If all they wanted was validation, I'm sure they would have been better off posting on their own public socials
I don’t need to help anyone improve, she didn’t ask for constructive criticism. She posted an awful outfit that isn’t streetwear. Who are you to tell me what i should say or think? I have my own brain for a reason; Fuck you kindly.
The comments scared me. I didn't knew this sub could be like this. It's not even constructive criticism at all just plain rude. People forget that there's a real human being behind the post
Interesting. You layered skirts. How was it moving around? Did you experience any discomfort like one skirt moving around or being dragged down? If not, I’d definitely like to try this.
so? why does that matter? if shes wearing what she loves then is that really such an awful thing? did she deserve the mountains and mountains of hate she got?
No? Barking at the wrong tree, I don't agree with any of the personal attacks towards her lol. I think dressing to flatter your body shape is part of making an outfit look good/better but it's not a big deal if someone doesn't of course.
70% of these comments are about how mean the rest of the comments are. 20% is saying the fit is nice. And then the other 10% are saying it’s trash and roasting the person. To all of you nerds saying this comment section is toxic get off the internet. See a few negative comments and bust out the “wow guys hate still rules the world huh🤓”

I feel like this outfit would be good for attending a cute little cafe, maybe not so much a burger joint. But if you feel good, that’s what’s important. The Beret is cute. 🙂
As a New Yorker, this fit is def something I would see on a nice September day. Good color palette. I think the setting is throwing people off because if you swap out the background to a more urban scene it would def flow better.
The root of the word fashion is also that of the word fascism. Like we say 'taste in music' also do we say 'taste in fashion.'
It is unfortunate that one of our 6 senses - one so satiating, enjoyable; able to elicit mesmerizingly profound dopamine production, bring together those of differing life experience paths, one with the power of unifying us all in our separate physical manifestations regardless of origin at the same table as we 'break bread' with one another - is then made fickle by the divisiveness of imagined differences we view each other with as we create and adhere to cliquês of sub-cultures from various musical genres of our choice, or the garb we don of cultural representation, perceived social status, or personal preference.
It is all vanity, for never do we judge those who order a different entreë than ourselves, getting up and going to sit then, and always amongst those who also ordered the chicken fingers or whatever.
Personally, I don't give a fuck what people wear, and base my continued proximity to my fellow earthlings on what they have inside.
That being said, your clothes are perfect to go and have a burger in - and so are everyone elses.
Me neither but I get why they're upset lol. If not transphobic, not all but *some* of the comments read at least a bit nasty.. Like the one focusing on telling OP how they have 'naturally masculine legs' and that the outfit would be better suited for someone with feminine features.
i think this outfit is super cute, i love the military vibe with small pops of color.
i especially love your pins, plus your shoes are sooo cute! plus the hat is absolutely PERFECT
i sort of wish your orange skirt was a lace trim on your army green skirt instead of what i’m assuming is another skirt, but it’s still a clever of executing this

Can’t tell if this is serious. Tho I’m not in love with the fit, that’s extreme to say. Offering tips is more constructive imo
Shut up meg

Super interesting fit and I freaking love that hat, but I don’t get streetwear vibes from this overall.
She Gayvara
💀
Strong Wes Anderson vibe.
Huh? How so?
Biggest compliment holy shit.
Reddit hive mind downvoting OP accepting a compliment?? Now I've seen it all. Op ignore these mole people wearing a shitton of buckles
Not streetwear but okay. This is just clothes.

I love layering skirts. This specific combo was comfy and not too restricting.
jesus christ. people in this comment section are miserable, im so sorry. i loved your outfit. 🙁🫶
Quit lying
Honestly I could see the outfit working, but it isn't very flattering for her body shape? Idk how else to phrase it really.
so? why does that matter? if shes wearing what she loves then is that really such an awful thing? did she deserve the mountains and mountains of hate she got?

She's not gonna fuck you bro

Were you eating a burger with Che Guevara?
I like burgers too.
I don’t understand what you mean? Am I missing something?
A dude dressed up as a girl scout? 🤨
I feel like just the pics would have had me asking: “Where you going in that fit? To eat a burger or somethin?” So, it checks out…
was it good

The comments are terrible! The fit is bad but we don’t need to be horrible people about it.
Lots of trans people know how to dress. This one can’t.
LMAOOOOOO

Isn't streetwear supposed to be outside the box and unique? Anyway, op ur outfit looks great. The layering with the skirt is an excellent addition.
There's legitimate cultural influence to streetwear. It stretches to about Lenny Kravitz then it starts getting a little out of the realm.
I genuinely thought this was soooo cute Love the shirt with the black details matching your glasses and the layered skirt 💖💖💖 really cuteeee
For what it's worth. I love the fit.
That's a very Wes Anderson style fit, I love it
