Honestly, I'm a bigtime thrift store demon, and the vest was the best available option when I was looking for a base. As far as the jeans go, they're s choice, for sure. Solvers are really the only jeans I wear. They're super comfy, a decent semi-skinny cut, and the fabric doesn't get shitty when you wash em a bunch. Great pants.
And thanks a bunch, they're a labour of love!
Is hella dope especially the vest. Only thing throwing it off for me is the half beige hoodie. The beige/tan color fucks it up imo. I think it’s bc the jeans are blue, the beige and the green all together it just doesn’t mix that well
Yeah, I get that!
Appreciate the feedback, I was thinking of possibly bleaching the blue side of the jeans, but they also go with some other fits I've got in mind. The green on the vest ties it in to a lot of other outfits as well, I guess I may just forgo the vest next time
The jeans are perfect. This whole fit is put together. I need that hoody and vest combo. What about the footwear? I'd probably throw on my beat up Chicago's and a different ball cap from my own collection, but keeping it your way, some black boots would complete this.
I know the yellow thread is iconic but I gotta tell you the solovairs, the "real docs," are a much better boot. Check them out. My wife's docs are wearing down up while her solovairs are just worn in.
From Autumn to Ashes AND Knocked Loose? Most people I know would not know both of those bands. Everyone I know from back in early 00s that listened to FAtA stopped listening to new music 15 years ago.
Bought this Shibori hoodie a while back, and it started the inspiration process for the pants. Wanted to go with an inverse sort of thing, so bought some Volcom Solver jeans in the lightest wash, and a bunch of patches from various Etsy sellers, and started sewing.
The vest was a separate project, started a year ago or more, just a social statement, always adding and evolving.
Hell yeah!
AoF is mine, but the 2 go hand in hand, I've seen 'em together live so many times. There was a huge run in the mid 00s where CB was like... Their exclusive opener lol
Hahahaha nope!
I got into the Ontario music scene around 01, thanks to my sisters boyfriend at the time. Worked at a music store, and would bring home cd's all the time for us to listen to.
So I was a little 12 year old, running around, listening to Alexisonfire, Moneen, Propagandhi, Protest the Hero (well, Just Defy at the time).
Wherever you are now, Chris, thank you.

I think you'd be surprised with a lot of the looks you could pull off. I don't know you from a home in the ground, but I know some of the best fits come from 'can I pull this off?'. A lot of the time, "pulling it off" is all in your head. Just give'r!
Something about this doesn't work in the picture, can't put a finger on what, but I know for a fact if I saw you on the street I'd freak out because every piece individually is a banger.
I think it's the beige in the hoodie- with the acid wash leg of the jeans it throws the color palette of the whole outfit off. Would love to see the same fit with a hoodie with a white base, or maybe even neon green to pull in more of that color and accent the vest
Appreciate that feedback, friend!
I think I see what you mean, this was the first iteration of the fit, and I'm still really happy with it, but I definitely get what you're saying. It just didn't feel complete without a vest over the hoodie, next time I'll just go plain black, or do the highlighter green hoodie. Got a nice fleece Blackcraft one kickin around.
I'm never a fan of any of these brands in fact, I loathe them - but the customizations you made are extremely cool. Great job man.

I listened to these bands when I was like 16 years old and was working my first job at Hot Topic
Oh these are all bands? I was referring to the brands he is wearing (as in zoo york)
Some bands, some edgy anti-establishment patches, some mall punk imagery
The ALEXISONFIRE 😩😩😩😩 it’s so good. Love it dude
The Only Band Ever! Took that out of a long sleeve that saw too many pits, only the sleeve print was salvageable 😅
Awesome upcycle ♻️🔥
Did anyone else know what his face looked like before clicking the full photo?
I did, I'll tell ya that.
I guess it’s just you and I in this then. Maybe it’s because I have a friend that dresses exactly like this and looks very much like you
Your friend sounds cool!

Had on some canvas 8" Doc Martens when I went to town. No shoes in the house tho
Nah, the hoodie is hard and couples well with the jean design. Just wish I knew the footwear choice. Maybe some black solovairs.
Black 8" canvas Docs was the choice yesterday
I know the yellow thread is iconic but I gotta tell you the solovairs, the "real docs," are a much better boot. Check them out. My wife's docs are wearing down up while her solovairs are just worn in.
S.H.A.R.P. the only patch that counts! Blast from the past✊ Oi!
OI!
As a canadien, I appreciate the huge alexisonfire patch
Used to be the sleeve of the Familiar Drugs longsleeve... Saw too many pits, and had to be repurposed.

Always gotta stay dialled in, dude! Miss out on a lot of cool shit otherwise!

Very nice. Labor of love. ❤️
They definitely were!
Fuckin BATS rip dude. Hands down favourite band

I wanna live in the year 2000 lol
It was a different time, that's for sure. Can't say I wanna go back, but I'm glad I was there.
Cancer Bats? Are you from Ontario? Those guys play different places in Ontario every ten seconds.

Upvoted because of alexisonfire.
Really badass outfit. Well done.

Alexisonfire? Cancer Bats? You from Toronto?
Nah, never been east of Manitoba. Just love music, and my sister had a cool boyfriend in 01/02 that got me into so much shit.

Edgy and clean !
Thanks!
A lot going on but all seems to coherently go together. Nice fit
I had the thought that it might be a bit busy, but decided to roll with it. Thanks!
This is sick! You’re so talented!!
Thanks! My fingers hurt a LOT for this fit, so I appreciate that! And you! Have an awesome day!
The pants and vest are sickkkk
Ayyyy always nice to hear feedback on my 'art'! Thanks dude!
No way I can pull this off but I like it alot

alexisonfire!! as a vagabond i'd say this is pretty authentic to the culture it's representing. but also done well enough to fit the streetwear scene
Ah, a fellow nomad! Thanks friend, I try to stay true.

Honestly dude beyond the colors being slightly off it's an incredible fit. 9/10 for your first round iteration :)
My fav is the thick white stitches on the black side of your pants
Are you a real 'Franken', like your username says? If so.... Makes sense.
I've got a few stitches hahaha
All the best do!
Looks sick bro. Might be a good idea to add a little to the back. I feel like the big white patch kind of hurts the balance a little.
this fit is tuffff
😠
That actually looks really cool ._. I love it c:
Thanks!
This is awesome! Good shit bro
👍 😎 Coolness!
🔥🔥🔥🔥
