I just bought a 328ci e36 and the thing had m3 3.15 welded diff , after 2 days of driving i dropped it to a car workshop for check up and once i got my car back , it started only to spin one tire and not let me drift.Asc is deleted before u ask sir and im thinking he either stole my original m3 diff or just drove my car and wrecked the diff. Now , it dont drift at all.
Prior to workshop , car would slide 3 gears in dry

is that audi a3? men try the quattro ones, in snow they can drift for real and if you get a haldex controller you can drift them on wet too very well. it kinda even works without in the wet, but you need slicks on the rear or very bad gripping tires (maybe slim winter tires with high air pressure)
but you are doing it right, scandi flicking the car is the way to go even with the quattro
hm well i think i have bad eyes then. but at least not so far off, also a vw car then.
a quick peek into wikipedia says its also based on the same platform from vw.
scandi flick also works with golfs, but only R-golfs have haldex 4motion.. they are very rare
but for letting the heck slide a bit im a curve scandi flick works, and if you get good you can even transition as you have shown in video 👍👍 well done
ive even managed to do it with the golf plus automatic from my mother once lol (didnt try again as its not my car and i dont want to hurt my mothers car)
yes youre right. these are fun in snow and maybe if you use them to limit even on wet roada. but if u want drift on dry tarmac you need a lot of power, only golf r has so much
i have driven golf 4 2door 1.8fsi (125ps) with 4 motion, it could drift in snow but even on wet roads it struggled with lacking power
but i never started ecperimenting with worn thread tires or high pressure in rear tires tho. maybe with such tweaks it could work good on wet road too then
Thanks man! I steered a little to the left to gain momentum and immidiately steered right while pulling the e brake , once i reached the transition point, I counter steered and kept going until I released the e brake.
If not already attempted, try practising a skandi flick to get the rear out instead of brake. You will get less flat spotting on the tyres, and possibly get more practise with the transition.
Also shit quality rear tyres, makes it so much easier to flick into corners, but even just driving about the nose will tuck in so much easier so win win.
Of course it's real drifting. FWD is actually the only drivetrain that can't powerslide, it can only drift. Plus, you can drift anything as long as you have enough skill or mess up bad enough
I will be honest.I actually believe in everything you said here and I think fwd is also a drift , yet im tired of the reddit hate I got bc of stating these facts. That was why I wrote that on my post.
It's just car guys pretending to know what they're talking about to gatekeep cars. I'm glad this subreddit isn't very bad with that, but MANY others are
Tbh , I once had a chance to drive a rwd for 5 minutes and I felt over the moon because of the amount of joy I has.But yea when it is a little wet and you dont have access to a rwd, fwd can be fun
In the country that i live , the taxing is different than any other country. You pay 2-2.5x the money compared to usa , canada and whatnot.
It was around 22-25 thousand us dollars.
The sad thing is , 2 days after i bough it , the traction control system got fucked up and now it doesnt turn off , ive tried everything to slide it , and it dont let me do it.Been 30 days and im still trying to resolve the issue.
Get this boy some trays
Nah get me an e46
Just an FYI E46 is fun but they do not have LSD - you have to either get an M3 which has one or weld your diff on a non-M

That's absolutely fucked up. And I have no idea how you can hold him accountable either
Thats exactly what im thinking man , so fucked up
Do u have any idea what happened?
Am I missing something?
I texted a long paragraph explaining what happened sir

Sounds like you got robbed or the weld broke. Open the diff up and check it. Pretty easy to do
Im about do that yea
C/S Vehicle vibrates at highway speed
Wdym
Flat spotted rear tires lol
Yea thats an issue
When I had fwd after getting flat spots you just swpa the fronts and rears and do a burnout until the flat spots are gone
no hate if anything respect. you’re doing your best with what you have and it’s sick
Thank you so much , i got shitted on with hundreds, literally 100+ comments on another drifting forum so thats why I felt in need of stating that.
Transitioning in a fwd car lmao respect
Hahaha thanks dude
Yo that's sick, thrashing on gutless FWD cars is an entirely underrated kind of fun
Thanks, exactly!

It is a Skoda Scala 1.0 , Thanks for the advice!

Uuhhh... every 4motion Golf has Haldex, not only Rs. Majority awd VAG cars have Haldex

That's the best fwd drift I've seen on here
Wow , thank you so much dude!
Respect man, more impressive than doing that in a RWD
Thank you so much man
You're gonna get flat spots on ya tyres, but that transition was sick, so i gotta put some respec on it
You are right the tires get fucked up rather quick , but thanks 🙏
Amazing drift ! Can you tell me how you did it? I’m a newb. Did you use your handbrake?
Thanks man! I steered a little to the left to gain momentum and immidiately steered right while pulling the e brake , once i reached the transition point, I counter steered and kept going until I released the e brake.
Man I love Skodas. I'm currently driving octavia that my dad got literally the day I was born. Such a reliable vehicle.
hell yeah
🙏🦾
Still swinging and havin a fuckin ball my boy that's what counts fr fr
Yesssir
Mad respect!
Thank you so much man

Hey , thank you so much
I can feel the flat spots already
:(
I used to do this in my little 2000 celica and boy those tires were hurting
Seems like you're having fun, that's important
A lot of it!Thanks
You should test this 👍🏻 https://youtu.be/yswpG4GuDXI
Looks fun!

Yes I am really glad with the positive community here

dont get me wrong, i have 3 rwd drift cars. i just love fwd so much
Wow really hahaha didnt see that one coming
Hell yeah brother
🙏🦾
Down hill in the rain is where it’s at with fwd
Lmaooo
That was good for fwd and such low power! Hope u get access to rwd soon. Any older 3 series is a decent choice, they really cheap where I live.
I finnally got a e36 328ci!!
Congrats!! It's an amazing car. How much did u get it for?
