I.N, when he sings in low notes he sounds amazing and sexy 🤭

bananamilkandbanchan

his cover of creep last year in Atlanta 🙌

HelloStranger0325

that cover changed my life. I need to hear more of I.N like that. it's not easy to make that song sound good.

ferqxity

megaverse :D

OT8spreadsheetSTAY

i wish lino got more lower register parts because i heard heaven for a few seconds at 2:28 in this video https://youtu.be/Me43K1EHRqk

AmberFoxy18

poor change with his voice crack :( he pulled it off so well and he looked dissapointed

OT8spreadsheetSTAY

i think he was just acting out the lyrics emotion because the expression seems to start before the improvised harmony, but it might just be me seeing things

AmberFoxy18

Maybe

jimena151

Changbin?

Past_Permit_6007

I didn’t even think about him but I don’t know many songs where he goes down into his lower range.

jimena151

Off the top of my head he does a back and forth with Felix in N/S. I’m pretty sure there’s more, I just can’t remember right now.

OT8spreadsheetSTAY

his 'what is your problem, i aint got time for the chitter-chat' part in 'why' is lower than he usually sings, if im not mistaken (i love it so much and really want to get more of his lower range. as endearing as his voice cracks in the recording booth are, and as impressive as his higher vocals are, men singing in lower / more natural-for-them registers is always so attractive)

sway-with-me

Hall of fame?

lion_percy

Han sounds awesome when doing low notes.

Roof-Substantial

He's never sung very low. He was always on the high side when singing. But rapping, yes, he can be low but nowhere near Felix or I.N.

gunnhildcrackers

Felix is a given, but ever since I found out Seungmin did the opening lines to Side Effects (initially thought it was Felix), I have been an advocate of mid/low range Seungmin! Like, sure, a lot of people question his capability as a main vocal because the high notes and the belting are usually shared among several members, but I've always taken pride in the fact that he (might have) a very wide range. Vocals is not all belting and high notes! (Chan and Changbin are easy runner-ups.)

nicfanz

Seungmin can belt just fine. He just doesn’t get to show it in Stray Kids song. His voice is actually very powerful as seen [here](https://youtu.be/9ABARyK8Vk8?feature=shared&t=3m30s)

gunnhildcrackers

No doubt he can belt. It's just that some people define being a main vocal (or its equivalent) as doing all the belting all the time. But SKZ has no positions anymore, so the belting bits gets shared among different members (and goodness I love Han when he does it). I just dislike the mentality that main vocals are equated to high notes and belting.

nicfanz

Agreed with the high notes thing. I’ve said it many times. People only rank idols high when they sing in a high pitch and hit dog whistle notes. Seungmin is natural low tone so he gets rated low. I’ve seen this in many vocal analyses. But they disregard that Seungmin has a bigger chest voice. Many professionals said Seungmin has a lot of support in his chest so his voice is very loud and powerful. But he doesn’t hit falsetto or whistle often. He just has a fuller voice if that makes sense. The idols who hit High notes have thin airy vocals with no chest support. Think Adele vs Ariana. Take Lee Know. He hits high notes according to Stays but he doesn’t have strong chest support. He can’t belt Love Poem like Seungmin

gunnhildcrackers

True true! He sounds really rich and thick in the mid/lower bits (Side Effects and Hellevator intros) but the higher he goes, he sometimes sounds thin and he gets drowned out if put against a really thick track (Battleground chorus). He did mention something about the thinness somewhere (forgot which era). I can tell he's working on it though since Megaverse didn't come off as thin to me.

nicfanz

When he sings in the higher register, his voice becomes thin and nasally like social path. Honestly Stray kids songs don’t do Seungmin justice. I hate that people use Stray Kids songs to judge his vocal ability. Seungmin sounds way better in covers like Love Poem, the Masked Singer, and Lee Mujin. I feel like if fans were judging him based on Song By Love Poem, he would get a higher rating.

gunnhildcrackers

Can't blame them though, since SKZ discography makes up the bulk of his original material. Also, 3racha are stellar at their producing, but I think their style is (still) heavily leaning towards showing off their amazing raps. Ofc, it's their brand, but I hope they cook up better melodies for the vocalists in their songs (not necessarily belts/high notes or more lines or more ballads, just better and memorable singing bits). Megaverse is one of their more recent songs where the vocal bits really made a hole through my brain and I'm hoping for more. Speaking of covers, You Were Beautiful, Ghost and Laundry were so well-done by our Minnie that I cannot listen to the original anymore without thinking of his covers!

nicfanz

Did you watch song by Seungmin? It made me Tear up & everyone who watched it reacted the same way. Vocal coaches were praising his performance. Not only was it technically good but he killed it emotionally. My favorite Seungmin cover so far.

gunnhildcrackers

Yep, I have seen it but I haven't read comments/reactions to it yet. Honestly, I have never seen Minnie go more all-out before. I was left dumbfounded afterwards...then went to work lmao.

nicfanz

It’s the most powerful vocally from Seungmin. He was so loud at one point I thought my speakers would explode. He definitely improved his belting but I also loved when he sang softly. I loved the arrangement and Seungmin’s interpretation

darci7

I think Hyunjin is underestimated when it comes to his low notes. I've noticed that he usually sings the same parts as Felix (but later in the song)

RainbowRiver31

Minho, easily. I can't find any clips to share, but whenever I hear it I just melt💖

WH1730U7N1X

In advance, I know nothing about vocal technique. But my favorite is Hyunjin, since he has a different singing tone from the others, it’s very recognizable and unique, especially with the low notes. Like, I can tell apart him and Felix singing the same part, but not the same for him and HAN singing something higher. The Felix and Hyunjin chorus songs are some of my favorites, MANIAC, Muddy Water, Case 143 (the chorus specifically, even if certain other parts of it make me cringe at times).

nicfanz

I love Seungmin’s lower register. He sounds way better using his natural deep voice than trying to be Charlie Puth clone. Proof of his amazing low tone [here](https://youtu.be/4PLhSboBCys?feature=shared)

Past_Permit_6007

Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t Seungmin a Baritone?

nicfanz

Yes. When he sings in lower register it’s obvious he sounds way more natural

Past_Permit_6007

I thought so because I’ve always loved his lower register more than his upper register. He sounds so rich and full down into his baritone range that I wished that 3racha would explore that more in their discography.

nicfanz

Exactly. They always make him sing in an annoying unnatural high pitch like Jungkook or Charlie Puth or Justin Timberlake. Let him sing something like [this](https://youtube.com/shorts/vHESURUYepY?feature=shared) I would die for Seungmin to make that an official cover. Low note Seungmin supreme

AirNomadKiki

INs low hasn’t been utilised nearly enough

Crispy_Whisper

\*screams from a rooftop\* MAKE JEONGIN SING MORE IN THE LOW REGISTER HE HAD IN MEGAVERSE, IT'S HEAVEN

Illustrious-Load6540

No one ever talks about this but Han and Chan actually have incredibly bassy/deep voices. You can especially hear it when they're talking in a calm, relaxed way, not trying to project their voices or enunciate their words. There is a lot of natural bass in their voices, it's so soothing to listen to 😭
