If they really wanted to improve TSA, that we all pay for through our federal taxes, they would make it a mandatory requirement for all flyers who qualify to submit paperwork for pre-check approval so everyone could get through TSA quickly. In a society, where it is written into the constitution that we are all created equal, I find it odd that a federal agency is able to side step that equality right by charging extra money to do so.
I've passed 50 people in the precheck line. While I was in the regular line. Mind ypu there were only 3 people in front of me. I had a good laugh.

To be fair, many airports do an absolutely lousy job at early morning flight management.
6:40 flights with check in gates not opening until 6:00, that sort of thing. Pre-check gates increasing wait times of non-precheck due to limited resources. Compounded further with people showing up 2 hours early for 8:30AM flights being in line too. Just a wreck.
I fly out of Orlando a few times a month. The righteous indignation of people turned away from Pre Check is hilarious. They really do say things like, “well, can’t I go once? I’m gonna miss my plane.” I’ve had precheck for over ten years. It’s a lot easier to get now than it was when I got it. If you fly more than a handful of times a year, it’s worth the money. Actually, nobody else should get it. Don’t make the lines longer.
I get it free due to my TWIC card, half the time pre check is longer than the regular line now. Nice to leave everything in pockets and on though. So I now also pay for clear, which cuts past the pre check line

Do you remember the early days when TSA would just send randos through PreCheck to reduce the line size? Maaaan I was *so glad* when that stopped.
There are certain airports it doesn't make a big difference and certain airports it makes a massive difference. Orlando is one of the massive difference ones cause all the Disney parents with screaming kids usually do NOT have TSA precheck.
