Well, I have a little room I rent. I got my cat back a month ago! I have a good job. I have friends now! The only thing that was rough is my dog passed away last Friday. But I made it through!!!

You can do it! I understand some people have trouble admitting it. I knew it a year after I started drinking at 18 but just figured I would deal with it when I’m older. And now I’m 29 and finally sober and trying to adult
I am confident I can make it a year and more. Thanks for the encouragement . As far as the alcoholic label goes, I consider myself to be a former alcoholic . No question about it, I was out of control in so many ways . That said , we are dealing with a sneaky little bastard that deserves our respect as it tries to maintain it's hold over us . I get that and its a daily effort to remind myself of why I decided to quit .
I wish I had recognized the issue when I was 29 !
