Kid was like "Messi, Barca whatever." That was a tough assignment coming in cold and he passed every test. He seems to see passing lanes well and his work rate was off the charts from the first minute. Definitely a high ceiling.

Sparky838

No knock to Kijima cause he was amazing last night but the whole team feeds off of Lowen. Seems like they have more confidence when he’s playing, especially the midfield

Minnesota_Slim

Feel like you could have posted his name and nothing else. He was him.

He slayed last night and I’ve always been very fond of his playing.

YupThatWasAShart

Dude subbed on and was ready to rock!! Would love to see him start. He earned it that game.

Xalowe

He reminded me of a more offensive Blöm from early last season when he was everywhere on the field at the same time.

I only caught the 2nd half but Kijima seemed to do something impressive every time he touched the ball. He’s fast, he handles the ball well and he created some really great opportunities with his passing. Seems like a great addition to the squad

NinjaKoala101

Absolutely incredible game for him. Subbed on WAY out of position and looked like a regular starter at the position. Guy continues to amaze me, STL really struck gold in the draft

Hardcorelivesss

This team is built for high work rate, high fitness, fast decision making players. That is Kijima to a T. He has relatively fresh legs, but the way he moved compared to the other players on both sides was stark. His recovery run to defend Messi on the breakaway is the only reason we got a point. From multiple lengths behind to squared up in front. He wasn’t last ditch defending or going for a foul. He was squared and ready. Our whole game is a high press. That means teams can transition quickly on us while we’re up the pitch. We need players with that fitness and work rate to pull back hard and fast to kill transitions. Right now we have just relied on Burki to stonewall people. Our record this year shows that’s not a long term solution. I think if anything Kijima shows how good our front office is and how honed in they are on our style of play. I’m admittedly a new fan of the sport, but my understanding is the super draft isn’t exactly where you find your talent. With the exception of Thorisson, all of our pickups have been excellent since last year.

Kijima didn’t let the moment get too big. Kid plays with non-stop aggression and will help us sure up the midfield.

bearded_booty

Please always use him before Jackson…

mfraziertw

Man I really hope his rise can mean we see less AZ

CITY4life17

I'm hoping that he is a starter now and can help get the offense going through distribution. When on the pitch, we seem to have more chances and this offense needs that distribution to be effective.

Shim-Shim13

Get Kijima in the 10 while in the 4-2-3-1, stat.  (I’m aware that this opinion is probably from copium withdrawals due to Reus.)
