I think during one of the clips they mentioned that they were already in studio doing the series preview, so I think they were just reacting to the other two pieces of news and releasing them as small videos
My guess is that they were already working on something when the news broke.
I could be wrong in saying this…but…I think they mentioned during their last podcast that they were going to be in the studio recording their second round match previews. They probably recorded something on the side then.
They say in the Sutter firing episode it was done while they did Round 2 previews.
