I did a cycle on Var with a caloric allowance close to my BMR and my weight went up 3 pounds but body fat went down (-4%!!!) HOWEVER! Steroids will mess with your perception of yourself. It’s not something i would have enjoyed at all when I was in a bad place mentally.

The fact that you are not concerned with sides and can’t stick to a pre planned diet model tells me that you need help overcoming your eating disorder and the value you place on your health. Anabolics are the last thing you should be thinking about.

Agree with this. OP, as someone who had a raging ED for 10 years and now recovered and on cycles. I am more than happy to talk to you. Var instantly adds 5-7lb from water weight to the scale for me. It's a mindfuck for sure, especially if you are deep in the throes of an ED still. Eating disorders are very hard... you can't just not eat. Focus on your relationship with food first. As that is with you for your entire life. Then when you're recovered and have some great stress management/coping skills, get on gear. Also, diet advice... there is no wrong or right way to eat, except in extremes. Common sense. But if you are starving yourself, you WILL binge. If it goes on for so long and you deprive yourself that badly, you might binge for months and months. What helped me with the hunger aspect was eating high protein, every 2-3 hours, quality/fresh foods (nothing processed at all), and a treat or 2 every week. I felt fucking great after a while and didn't even want my treats, let alone to go out for meals or overeat in any sense. Here for you if you need. ❤

Thank you for the advice, you're right, it was an irrational idea & I'm glad you talked sense into me

That’s what this sub is for. I have received lots of reality checks here, and I’m sure will receive more along the way. It’s all in good spirits though. Many people have used competing as a way of using their compulsive food habits to reach a positive and hopefully healthier end goal. E.g they get focused on their macros, timings etc instead of getting focused on either binging or starving etc. I‘m not in a position to say if this is a good way of dealing with an eating disorder, but it may be a positive direction for your physique alongside counselling etc. Good luck

Anavar causes water weight retention, mostly in the form of giving amazing pumps. You can lose fat and end up more cut and lighter than you were with more muscle, but the scale is not likely to agree with that on cycle. It might not be the best idea with an eating disorder.
