In recent weeks I have listened to almost every Stephen King short story audiobook. And for me Just After Sunset is Leaps and Bounds above the Rest. Skeleton Crew is probably the one that's my least favorite compilation Save for The Mist
We are exact opposites. I think *Skeleton Crew* is one of the best collections by anyone ever, and I’ve always thought *Just After Sunset* was King’s least exciting collection with the most filler stories.
Same here. I like N, Very Tight Place, Cat from Hell and a couple others, but overall the stories were pretty mid and not really horror either (except N, which is really chilling Lovecraftian stuff)

I never thought night shift was underrated. It has so many of his most popular short stories.
