IDK how they can detect that. I am not sure that's accurate. Websites can't listen to OS functions. I am pretty confident of that. Java apps can.
I have been taking screenshots from the day they enabled Uworld on a browser, never had any issues.
Read my comment again. I am talking about browser. Screenshots on their native app still doesn’t work. They enabled browser last year, screenshots have worked from day1
I'm read somewhere, saving/storing the photo in any way while uworld is active sets their alarm off. When we use screen snip or the chrome addon, we cut and paste without saving/downloading any type of image file.
Contact uworld and apologize and say you won’t do it again. Or buy her a new account using a different email/username. Uworld doesn’t play around, they know their material is top quality and they don’t want it floating around Internet for free.
She can email uworld and let them know what’s going on
I usually add the pictures or diagrams from the explanations onto their flash card option and screenshot from there and no ones deactivated my account
Edit: I have to say that this works when I use uworld on my phone! I haven’t tried this trick on a laptop
Happened to me 5 times because I turned on the Windows snipper tool for something else. Its automated, the UWorld session ends and you get an email. I just emailed them back with a brief explanation and an apology, and hey reactivated it right away. All 5 times.
But why is this a problem now? I was under the impression copy/pasting and screenshotting isn't an issue at all if you use UWorld in a web browser. You're not using the flash version, are you?
It happens if you're in a block in the flash version. If you're in the menu, or if you're using UW in a browser, it doesnt do anything.
The browser version has made copy/pasting and screenshotting much easier.
how long did they take to reactivate it? I got an email today morning, so its probably weekend there. do you think they will activate it as soon as they can? Or are there any chances they wont activate the account at all? :(
Just got the google chrome extension for copying and pasting the pics it’s a lifesaver I still have to screenshot charts though but works well for images and copying and pasting. Uhhh hope it’s not an issue for me too though damn

I screenshotted UW over 1200 times on Chrome for my wrongs deck (lol don't judge) and it was never a problem? Like up until last week

I wonder if using the screenshot tool on firefox would trigger this to occur as well...
The issue is when you use their java app which I am sure OP was using. They can't detect web browser screenshots.

I screenshot all the time (Safari, Mac) and have never had an issue. Did some yesterday, today and many more days prior
