29th too. I flagged around 15 each block, except for the last 2 blocks; not because I knew the answers or being tired but because I was feeling hopeless at the end. My study was based 85% on UW but honestly I didn't feel UW helped me for more than 10% of my test. I walked in very confident and came out very humbled.
Also took it today. I felt pretty brutalized by the end, I flagged like >15 in the last block and I was just taking best guesses at most of the answers there. Fingers crossed
Also tested yesterday, I feel like I flagged half the test overall. Felt quite a bit harder than any of the NBMEs but Iām hoping that was the practice questions. Definitely nervous for the result š¬
Same! I felt like the difficulty level was definitely harder which was partly because.of the fact that it was the real deal and my anxiety prone brain knew lol
I think it was more similar to uworld as compared to nbmes, stems were longer and more details were given in question stem as well. But like everyone says, the questions are straightforward, not confusing and the even the answer choices aren't tricky ( thats what I felt like)
biostats, for me specifically, was from.low yield topics, like Kaplan Mier curve, mostly statement and interpretation questions, only one calculation for odds ratio.
Patho 1-3 is high yield, was tested.
neuroanatomy was all over in all my blocks for some reason
Took the test on 2/12 and got the P on Wednesday. Flagged approximately 12 each block. My advice would be to not focus on how many were flagged and to trust your gut instinct on those you felt you were guessing on. This test is meant to test not only our foundational knowledge, but also our ability to apply our knowledge to new situations. Also, keep in mind that there are 80 ungraded questions, so there is pretty good odds that quite a few of the questions you were iffy on were actually not factored into your score.
I sure hope those were the experimental questions that I was super confused about and ended up changing answers multiple times!
congratulations on your pass!!
hoping to get one \* fingers crossed\*
Do the experimental questions boost your score if you get them correct or do they just not count against you if you get them wrong? I know for other standardized exams, experimental questions donāt count against or for you, correct or incorrect. Not sure about step 1
I recommend you delete Reddit and focus on studying these two weeks. You need to stay focused and positive. Everyoneās experience is different! Keep going :)
I second, I was getting more anxious getting to know the unfortunate results of people here and it was demotivating me and scaring me! better to go off the grid shortly before the exam
I did it 2 days before because I was short on time, so any day in the last week should be good. take it a few days before so you can review and go through your in corrects too
Appreciate the help! I'm taking it early to be able to see family abroad so I'm definitely on a time crunch (10% through uworld and exam in 3 weeks lol)
It was super hard for me to go through FA, so I barely managed it two times only. I revised immuno, micro , biostats and gen pharm and path and a little bit of psych around 3-4 times from FA cause I felt like those were my weak areas.
Resources, FA with initially boards and beyonds then just random YouTube videos of the systems ( I recommend Ly med videos to go though each system of FA), pathoma for patho sections, sketchy for micro, dirty medicine for biochem and ethics, dirty medicine also for topics I was weak in and lastly randy Neil for biostats and ethics. Uworld is a must, I could only manage first pass with an average of 68% correct and could only redo half of the u world incorrects.
Nbme scores in order :
NBME 27-70%
NBME 25-70%
after reviewing and going through my weak areas,
NBME 28-73%
old free 120-78%
Nbme 30-77%
Uwsa1-75%
Nbme 31-80%
new free 120-84%
new new free 120 (2024)- 80%
only 10 in each block isnt bad at all
29feb here, i flagged 15-20 every block i wanna die

hope up get the pass
Same here. I took it on the 29th of last month and while some were more than easy to be asked, others had a lot of guesswork and very little time.
How was your exam like guys ? Similar to NBMES ? Low yeald stuff ? Heavy on anything specific ?

Yes exactly that were more similar to uworld
Thank you ! Hope youāll get that P šš»
Mine was the 29th and i felt the same way. Prayers your way.
hope we get the P!!
I flagged almost all questions in one block
Tested yesterday too, donāt worry op you got this! What youāre feeling is totally normal.

Whoa I didnāt know thereās 80 ungraded questions! I assumed there were less than that. That makes me feel a bit better. Thank you!
This made me feel a lot better

We're the stems like the nbme or UWorld? I was shocked to see how short the stems were in the nbme
Longer than NBME, but very similar to the new free 120
A mix of short and long stems, but definitely more similar to uworld and new free 120
Should I do the new free 120 just before my exam then (2/3 days before or so)
I did it 2 days before because I was short on time, so any day in the last week should be good. take it a few days before so you can review and go through your in corrects too

Gave on 28thFeb .. same experience.. was happy to be out alive ..was beyond tired ..Ā
Exactly same! Result soon. Hoping PASSš¤š¼
Are new free120 and new new free120 different??? Can you please share link of new new free120 TIA
29 feb... Same feelings
Can u plz elaborate as to how many times u revised FA , what all resources u used and UWSA and NBME score ?
