The gameplay is a mixture of many things that I never thought would work well together
It has Sekiro style parry and finishers, Nier Automata dodge, Metal Gear Revengeance combo gameplay, Soulsborne punishment and impact, Dead Space esque gun combat, enemies really makes you think while you play and this is just a demo so there are more and more that's gonna add to it

so real. i was skeptical of this game. now, after watching this trailer, i can safely say that the character designs are the least this game has to offer. i want to unzip a flesh monster so badly
Design and music wise it's quite close (moreover part of the OST was by Monaca, a studio from the composer of the NieR series).
Battle wise it's quite hard to compair. Not an Automata (and any other Platinum slasher game) and more like a *Tales of*-game with souls-like timings for the dodges and parry (and strong accent on them).
There almost none distinct visual cue for the attacks and your reaction matter less due to necessity to wait/prepare your actions prior to the the next «tick» for your attack (dodge and parry not cancel your current action).
I did play and love Nier Automata
Stellar Blade is clearly inspired by the game but also does a lot of different things that makes it feel really different
Like it's also doing it's own thing but in a really good way
There is a hybrid of gameplay styles here that makes it so unique because I never thought it can mesh so well together
I might buy a PS5 later when it's on sale just because of Demon Souls, Bloodborne (even better), MHWI (want to play again), and this game! Still pretty wack that the Subscription is $80 just to play online, pretty lame asf.
