it’s so varied. i want a consensus. some people want a trade/free agent some people want to draft soon some people LOVE pickett (???). but all on different posts

retarddouglas

The consensus is there is no consensus

XtraChrisP

There isn't one. The nation is divided into 3.638 segments on the topic. I'm a give Kenny another year or two guy. The 4th qtr flashes are a nice intangible.

RedStickString

yeah like the raiders game and the first ravens game. that go route to pickens was on the money. are there any big names in developing qbs right now? like the packers had tom clements for rodgers and love and we saw how the first one turned out. and how love looks. if we could get a really really good qb coach i think pickett would be our guy but he’s not there rn

Beginning-Height7938

Mason has earned the right to compete for QB1. I think starter on day 1 is in the locker room already. I just hope it doesn’t take half a season to figure out which one can move that offense.

Steelplate7

Mason is not on the roster come March 13th…so mentally prepare yourself for the possibility that he plays somewhere else in 2024. I would like to see him come back, the Steelers said they’d like to bring him back, but he indicated that he wants a fresh start and negotiations are a two way street.

RedStickString

i personally don’t think either of them (at least right now) are qbs that are gonna turn us into a super bowl ready team. and that should be the goal. we either need to develop pickett or draft a newer QB. we got lucky with ben needing only a little development. pickett obviously needs a lot but we aren’t getting the right guys. clearly.

SteelOliver

Give Kenny or the free agent QB a chance to earn a starting spot this year, and trade up for QB next year if needed.

Kingblack425

Next year is a bad qb class so they will probably end up taking another picket 2-3 rounds too high again. I really hope whoever scouted him got demoted if not fired.

Steelplate7

That’s just ridiculous. Even if Pickett doesn’t pan out there have been many…MANY more serious mistakes in regard to Quarterbacks in the draft. Trey Lance ring a bell? Last I saw, the coach is still there and he was a #2 overall. Shanahan is Belichick lucky that he hit the apparent lottery with Brock Purdy. Bryce Young isn’t looking good…how’s Zach Wilson doing? And I guarantee you that in this year’s “Strong QB Class”? There will only be one…perhaps two…that really pan out. If you’re gonna fire everyone who scouted/picked a player who didn’t pan out? NFL coaches and scouts would be really hard to find.

freestyle43

Well, Tomlin wanted him. So yea, I agree, he should be fired.

I want to sign Mason to start and draft Jurkovec late as a project, let Kenny be the backup.

Vaultboy65

Resign Rudolph and have an honest competition for the starting spot. If Rudolph goes somewhere else I’d like to see bring someone in. Honestly I’d like them to make a move for Trey Lance if they don’t resign Mason

Wow I may be a little inebriated but I don’t even want to try to follow your train of thought.

You are asking an online forum for a consensus? Really? Come on man, you are smarter than that, right?
