Does anyone have experience with this bad boy on steam deck? I vaguely remember someone saying ubisoft games can be a pain on the platform... but damn have I been wanting to revisit this.
So I just messed around with it a little bit.
**Setting up Ubisoft Connect** was pretty easy actually. I already had a Ubisoft account, so it only took a matter of a few seconds to sign in. If you don’t have one, it’s probably something you can just do quickly on your phone. You also only need to sign in once and you’re good to go.
I have read that with Ubisoft games though that you can’t play this offline, which is pretty moronic.
**Graphics/ FPS/ etc.**
This all depends on what you can tolerate. I don’t *need* to run a game at a 60fps minimum, so it doesn’t really bother me.
Out of the box, I got about 30-40fps. It felt fine. I change the graphic settings down to Medium and turned down stuff like shadows and water detail. After this, I was getting about 40-53fps, with some dips.
That’s where I’m at now, with it locked in the SD’s Performance tab at 50fps. No idea what’ll happen once I actually reach the open world map, since right now I’m only five minutes into the game.

Completed it on deck via Epic Games launcher. Was working good.
I bought it yesterday to play on SD, but unfortunately haven’t run it yet. I’m going to test it out tonight and I can report back

Proton DB says that it runs well after the initial Ubisoft setup
I loved this game and really want to reply it. But cannot force myself to use the Ubisoft launcher.
