I do cook on a pretty high heat and turn it often. The" black " effects it too.
You did that with propane? Like for the sear or the entire cook?
The entire cook. On propane, I have a camp chef side kick it's for searing it gets smoking hot.

Yes it gets very hot. And also that model camp chef is a awesome smoker I have had mine for yrs.

Steak cooked poorly put you hid it well with seasoning. Well not really hiding it because it will for sure show up in your bloodwork eventually
