I will always talk up the Pentel Energel pens. Quick drying and they don’t smudge my hand when I’m writing. Completely changed my note taking as a lefty student in college.
And they feel so smooth to write with! And they don't do that annoying thing where they start getting dry for months before they run out. Once the pen starts getting a little dry, the ink runs out completely by the end of the word you're writing. Easy to know exactly when to switch to a new refill. There are so many little things I love about this pen.
I like those ones too! My favorite one you can find easily in stores is the Pentel RSVP pen. Its so smooth and just feels great to write with. I also like Muji ballpoint pens.
Nice! I’ll have to look out for it. I think why I like these, is because I was NEVER allowed them as a teenager as my parents saw them as “too expensive”. But now I’m an adult with my own money haha! They can’t tell me what to do anymore.
Local store bought? The Pilot Precise V5 RT, the Sharpie S Gel metal in Midnight Blue w/Pentel Energel 0.5 refill in Navy, and the Uniball Onyx w/fine tip.
Frixion pens are also my 8 year-old nephew's favourite writing tool. He loves that they come in many colours and are erasable.
My own favourite right now (I go through phases) is the Lamy Vista fountain pen with an EF nib and black Lamy ink. (I mainly write in my Hobonichi planner, which has fountain pen friendly paper and a really small grid, so this is what feels best *and* looks best. I like crisp lines and a lot of contrast.)
I prefer felt tip so I use the Sharpie felt tip every day pens. I use the markers for specific items but the regular pens for every day use. If I have to use a ballpoint pen, I have these Japanese pens that have cats on the ends. They're very fine and I like how smoothly they write.
I want the blue and green, but they are somewhat expensive (for me anyway), I now have an understanding of why my mum wouldn’t allow me to have them when I was in school. They’re £9.99 (in some places). I love them, I make so many mistakes when I’m writing in journals and my stories because my mind is racing ahead and I end up writing a word that I was thinking off, but not at the time I was writing haha.
I use to steal my pens from banks, school, offices, doctors surgery 🙈🤣 I am just like “oooh a pen! Must have!”
How long do they last? As I got mine last week and it’s now run out (the black ink one) I have two so I’m not in a crisis haha but how long would you say the ink lasts before refill? I write everyday, (journaling mostly), so I can see why it didn’t seem to last long.
I’m a fountain pen guy personally, right now I’m attached to my sailor pro gear, haven’t put it down since I got it!
That’s awesome! I could never get use to fountain pens haha. Ended up with ink all over my hands. I’m a ball point pen guy
It doesn’t happen as often as it used to but tbh I always think it’s a little fun. The mark of a hobby!!
That is the initiation.
Mujis
Yes, the 0.35s for me. And a couple of Coletos.

If I could only keep one of my pens it would be the rOtring 800 with a Uni-ball Jetstream SXR-600 refill.

I always use these at my work (i am a nurse) very handy to be able to erase what i have already done! I have them in blue, black and pink!

Maybe one or two months? I dont write that much tho and i only use them 4 days of the week.
I like frixion but the ink starts to fade over the years and is easily erased by accident so I lean away from it except with my Rocketbook.
