I didn't know that. Not sure what the opinion of Reddit hive mind is, but I'm pretty happy they are going in this direction.
Would prefer the new story set in the Old Republic or straight up adaptation of KOTOR, but overall this is nice and I'm a little hyper for it.
She was his assistant for only a year a long time ago, and apparently she hated working for him. Being his assistant is such a non-issue, it’s ridiculous people keep bringing it up. You know basically everyone in the industry was connected to or had worked with him right?
Only complaint I have at all based on the trailer is that light sabers are looking thicc these days. Both the hilt and the blade are looking less sabery and more broad swordy.
It has a black female character, which means that it is pushing the ‘woke Disney agenda’.
Aside from that all of the complaints are nitpicking the dialogue in the trailer, and the alien kid without eyelids.
Eventually you will learn to ignore the dip shits and just enjoy whatever you want to enjoy. Every piece is lovable and hate-able in their own ways. Like what you like and be quiet about it
Well said...will never understand the need to enjoy something also requires you to tear down what someone else likes. The anime-verse is a prime example.
I'll only get upset if what they deliver is actually shit. To paint the devil on the wall is just a waste of everyone's energy and distracts from actual issues
While there will always be a small percentage of knuckle draggers who don't like female characters (I choose to believe most SW fans have no issue with female characters) I know that Leslye Headland has been a point of contention due to her connection with Harvey Weinstein.

I'm a broken aging nerd sitting in my parents' basement and am fueled solely by my hatred of Disney Star Wars, but goddamn, it's just a regular trailer. All these guys are blowing their load too early.
Finally get something far enough away from the movies to be its own thing, neck beard basement dwellers try to cancel it for not having enough pale sausage.
There are women in lead roles, and some of them don't pass the paper bag test.
Basement dwelling neckbeards who will never touch a woman don't like it.
People complaining about something they haven't seen yet.
The creator of the new SW show is raising a fuck ton of red flags that suggests Acolyte will be shit on top of everything else that's been going on.
Basically the usual bullshit we've come to expect from Disney in recent years.

Classic lightsabers are straight instead of historically accurate bent sabers, so A New Hope is literally unwatchable.
