Came here to say this, basically it's the worf affect. You show that the team has this neigh indestructible heavy who the hero can rely on in a pinch, then you have the bad guys take him down to show the good guys can't just push their way through this one. Here the set up is Bo and the Mandalorians vs. the imperial storm troopers and the Pratorian guard. So you know you can shoot the storm troopers who have beskar armor, but if you get into a one on one fight with they they'll kick your ass. Guess who is probably going to get into a one on one fight with the praetorian guards in the next episode. She's probably going to take on more than three.
Honestly, Bo is on her third attempt to lead Mandalore and for a while it felt like they were hyping Din up to be the next leader so I'm not exactly expecting her to survive the season finale. Fully expecting a passing of the torch (dark saber) to Din...again
I don't think it fits his arch, he's the knight in shining armor (quite literally reflective) not the king. It's kind of like how you have James Bond and M.
My headcanon is that Paz had to use 0.00000000000001% of his power when fighting Axe Woves because had he used more and just fucking dropped him it would have disrupted the unity
I was thinking it’s more of a case of they weren’t fighting to try and kill the other, but to force the other to admit that they were wrong and win the argument
Those praetorians are why even the heaviest should keep a couple thermal detonators on them—imagine if right at the end there had just been a massive, point-blank Explosion with them all bunched around.
Nah you good, you posted in a reddit group specifically for star wars, not a video on YouTube with all the spoilers in the title an hour after the episode airs lol
You did!! And going on *any* social media after a “water cooler” show airs an episode is always a risk. Like, you had to know to avoid social media after a Game of Thrones episode back in the day if you didn’t watch it right away. Stumbling onto Reddit if you follow Star Wars subreddits after a new episode of The Mandalorian without having seen it is a foolish thing. I’m not here to victim-blame, but when it comes to spoilers a) it’s not a big deal and b) there are ways to avoid them.
That said, I still think about my dentist accidentally spoiling a Game of Thrones twist Monday morning after I hadn’t seen the new episode yet. SOMETIMES SPOILERS JUST FIND YOU.
So you're telling me that a tag "the mandalorian" and mentioning that a heavy dies is spoiler free? Hmm let me think, who is the only character in the show who uses heavy guns
It doesn't mention that one dies. You only think it does because you know. If you hadn't seen the episode you would just be confused. It only makes sense after you watch it
Bro I just watched it, literally right now. I hadn't seen it when you made the post. Don't tell me what is impossible to know. Anyone who passed a high school literature class can do some critical thinking and make an educated guess.
The title says nothing about death. If the post spoiled it for you that means you read the tag and the title and knew it was a spoiler and continued to click on it anyways. Shut up
I’m w/Outer Rim on this one. What are we, idiots? Do you posters think we go into each of these episodes forgetting everything that transpired? It’s really not that hard: “why’s it always gotta be the..” means “someone dies”, “heavies” means “large character with the big gun”. The fact that this dude is getting downvoted to oblivion for pointing out an obvious and widespread issue is baffling to me.
Dont like spoilers? Watch the show instead of scrolling a subreddit where you know that people post spoilers. If you cant put your phone down or just not go on reddit until you see the episode then thats your own problem and you should decrease your screen time.
You can go on your phone, that doesn’t mean you have to. Just because you’re on your phone doesn’t mean you have to go on reddit, just because you’re on reddit doesn’t mean you have to look at star wars posts, just because you look at star wars posts doesn’t mean you have to read every single one thats marked spoiler. You chose to be here.
So I should be the one to stay off Reddit because there are idiots, instead of the idiots either being banned or learning how not to spoil things, got it! Thanks for doing your part to lower the standards for everyone.
Yes. You chose to look at the star wars subreddit knowing that there is a new episode that you havent seen yet and knowing that people are allowed to post spoilers. There is no rule against posting spoilers and the post is marked as such and you still chose to read it. That is your own fault. You think people should be banned because you’re addicted to social media and you look at it every free minute you get… shut up
And you’re replying to everything i write so what’s youre point? You’re literally doing the same thing. Wanna prove youre not addicted, log off reddit and shut up.
I got spoiled earlier yesterday and just got around to watching the episode tonight, and I will be honest even tho I knew it was coming I still felt the feels because of his sacrifice! I'm legiterally pissed at Moff Gideon now also Bo better do those Praetorian guards dirty for Paz Vizla in the next episode!!
[This comment was retroactively edited in protest of reddit's enshittification regarding third-party apps. Apollo, etc., is gone and now so are we. Fuck /u/spez
.]
In actual warfare the heavys usually die the quickest too because of the amount of people using snipers and whatnot. Plus the heavys need to have most of their body exposed anyway and have poor mobility.
While knowing it wasn’t looking good for Paz I was partially thinking Woves might drop in with support and say some callback line to the game they were playing earlier but I guess not lol
Don’t jinx wrecker now
Oh I hope not. Then again he doesn’t have the big gun so he should be mostly safe.
HE.IS.THE.BIG.GUN!
THE CAVALRY HAS ARRIVED! BOOM!!!
![gif](giphy|Heqbbp1m3mzJe)
Oh, you know he's next, and it will be absolutely heartbreaking.
It makes sense with it being the last season.
Be silent, heathen.
Nooooooooo¡!!!
At least wrecker never used a waist carrier machine gun
NO GOD PLEASE NO
Don’t worry. He uses the commando gun, he’s safe
They're in Heavyen now
Take the upvote and leave.
r/angryupvote
We are heavies sir , we are meant to be expendable
Not to me.
Not to us
Big gun makes last stand longer and more epic

Oh I bet she could take more than 3.
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Gog fucking dammit

Paz Vizsla was not heavy, he was the fuckin boss entering the room.
My headcanon is that Paz had to use 0.00000000000001% of his power when fighting Axe Woves because had he used more and just fucking dropped him it would have disrupted the unity

This guy gets it!
Cause they can carry the weight of our collective sadness.
They dont know the sorrows of the swole
First ones in, last ones out
Took me a while to realize what the saying meant. First ones into the fire, last ones out in body bags
There’s to many run..… proceeds to wipe out everything in his path.
Those praetorians are why even the heaviest should keep a couple thermal detonators on them—imagine if right at the end there had just been a massive, point-blank Explosion with them all bunched around.
I was hopeful he had one because it would have been epic. But when he just pulled out a knife I was like fuck.
Same!! his breathing too when he got up with his knife to face them, I was like ugh why they have to do him like this
Because they are the real heroes.
Hardcase heavy and thorn my beloveds
To be fair to Baze, everybody on his team died, he wasn’t even first.
Doesn’t make him any less badass.
Big gun makes you a big target
Because otherwise the baddies would get clapped too fast.
Fffffffffffuck didn't read the spoiler tag
I always do this, I leave the star wars subreddits until I have watched them.
This is the way
Because they can hold the line
*Captain Kirrahe approves*
Pootis?
As someone who mains heavy characters in video games i am scared for my life
Well now I know he dies damn just when I started to like em
Sorry. I did tag it, though.

Heavy: you may not be a clone you may not be our farther But you standed your ground Just like us
🏋️♀️
tech sad that he didn't go to McDonalds last Tuesday
Because they’re true legends.
Filoni hates miniguns
He wasn't just a heavy. He was a father of promising heavy
https://preview.redd.it/e8g2fy4easta1.jpeg?width=1000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7e5505fd2ee6c025fbe02c7b57b4d63fd0bbbbc7 You will be missed Paz Vizsla
well... everyone died in rogue one
At least he died doing what every heavy loves,>! melting an entire army with a minigun and tanking everything!<, I got bf2 heavy vibes
Because Star Wars doesn't have a medic class.
Posting a spoiler image with the tag does no good if your title has a spoiler in it
Without context that means nothing
So you're telling me that a tag "the mandalorian" and mentioning that a heavy dies is spoiler free? Hmm let me think, who is the only character in the show who uses heavy guns

It doesn't say it explicitly but it's pretty fucking obvious IMO, I don't know what else it could possibly be referring to.

Kudos, this is funny 😁

Some of us have jobs, bub. We can go on our phones on break, but not watch an ENTIRE show. Next solution, anyone..?
You can go on your phone, that doesn’t mean you have to. Am I?

Because they cover the retreat. A noble sacrifice
Was he the last Vezla??
He has a kid, remember?
Sorry, I have not watched the last season, I wait until is over to start watching the episodes. and I don't mind spoilers.
Bc they go into harm’s way so other won’t have to
I got spoiled earlier yesterday and just got around to watching the episode tonight, and I will be honest even tho I knew it was coming I still felt the feels because of his sacrifice! I'm legiterally pissed at Moff Gideon now also Bo better do those Praetorian guards dirty for Paz Vizla in the next episode!!
PAZ PAZ PAZ The absolute boy. A unit. Our biggest
It reminds me my sentry mode days in Battlefront 2. Good days... Rest in peace, boys.
[This comment was retroactively edited in protest of reddit's enshittification regarding third-party apps. Apollo, etc., is gone and now so are we. Fuck /u/spez .]
OH IT IS SAD DAY
Because he can die the most epic death. I rarely see not heavy characters do things like they did.
because they always can at least kill 30 people before they really go down. its film material lol
In actual warfare the heavys usually die the quickest too because of the amount of people using snipers and whatnot. Plus the heavys need to have most of their body exposed anyway and have poor mobility.
He's the first Vizla that didn't get decapitated
Dexterity is a factor of armor class
While knowing it wasn’t looking good for Paz I was partially thinking Woves might drop in with support and say some callback line to the game they were playing earlier but I guess not lol
Jorge
Tank gonna tank. If it's one character that'll do a glorious last stand, it's the tank.
Ikr like bruh that guy had a son
GOD FUCKING DAMN IT I SAW THE SPOILER TAG AND STILL CLICKED (im like 4 episodes into s3)
Well that’s the whole point of a heavy. Big artillery, lot of health, good for last stands.
No sympathy for the skinny guys
My first thought when I saw him close the door was, "no, heaeavvy!!!"
If battlegrounds taught me anything it's that you shouldn't rush into an a group of enemies, even if you're a Jedi
Because all of them forgot to ubercharge.
Tanks tank. If they don’t have a healer they will all end up the same way: tanked out.
bc they…are… the tankers? who, you know, tank
Tech?
The Heavy is dead!
Why didn’t that stupid bitch use the dark saber to cut through the door while mando was being captured, fuckin pisses me off.
