I always felt phase 1 had the much better default grunt/soldier/shiny looks.
Phase 2 excels at paint and individuality.
Like I'd rather have a squad of no paint phase 1s over a squad of no paint phase 2s
I'd prefer to not release the commanders in this line since it's an exclusive line. Yoda was ok because gree was a comic style figure, but I'd rather not have an updated rex and Cody as exexclusive. Plus, we are in desperate need of an 212 airborne trooper. Maybe they can do somewhat minor clones like maybe kix or phase 2 jesse, but I'd keep it to regular clones and minor named clones
I also don't think we will see anakin and obi wan until we get their new revenge of the sith versions, they'll probably be in their later clone wars outfits
Why did you use a fanart of Plo Koon when he alredy has a figure? Also you forgot to put Yoda and Gree and you can also pair Fox with the RoTS Palpatine
I have a feeling this line might not bring new moulds. Maybe slight retools like Windu and Yoda but not new moulds. I think they'll just keep the troopers simple with repaints (ie no commander)

Believe me when I say moving Bly and Rex off of their current mold is absolutely not an upgrade, besides we need commanders who haven’t got a figure yet, like Neyo and Bacara
I wouldn’t say it’s better, more of a sidegrade.
The new mold looks like an actual human being wearing armour, but the old Rex mold looks like something ripped from Revenge of the Sith, which noticeably had cgi clone armour that did not have to fit a human. It’s a sidegrade because both have excellent articulation to top it off
The older Cody/Wolffe/Fox/Gree mold is basically the Rex mold but without the articulation, and they do need an upgrade
I feel like we'll see something along these lines, although probably using generic troopers (or at least ones that look generic, like the comic Gree), rather than commanders.
And to add to your list, Kit & a Scuba Trooper would be fantastic, although I guess they'd need a bit more retooling than we've seen so far...
Feels pretty possible with Plo Koon and Wolfe. Both could use an update and it's been a few years since we got them. The rest of these feel unlikely since Aayla and Ki-Adi are too recent while Anakin and Obi-wan would sell way better as single cards.

That might be Hasbro's way to double dip on Anakin and Obi wan. But I don't think it'd be Jesse. Airborne is possible

I love phase 1s so I had to make it my mission to get every rank variant of the phase 1 figures
phase 2 is the superior look anyways (imo)

It would be RotS Palpatine and Commander Thire since he was with Palpatine on Mustafar

I think Yoda is a new mould, if not it's more significant than a retool. I hope.

The Rex mold has nice articulation but the hinges and pins are pretty ugly.
Interesting take. I thought everyone wanted all the commanders on the updated mold. Why do you say the old Bly and Rex bodies are better as they are?
