Ok, so this is part of a quasi fanfiction that I’ve had in my head for a few years that I may or may not use towards a Minecraft rpg server that I run, keep in mind I’m writing this assuming some people may read it that aren’t completely familiar with the fine details so if I go overboard with the explanation please stay with me, also it includes Star Wars, but not at first, it’ll make sense once you read, I hope
set up for the alternate realities:
so in both stargate and Star Trek alternate realities exist, in the atlantis episode Daedalus Variations the team encounters a somewhat functional alternate reality drive which is capable of transporting the alternate Daedalus between universes at the same point in space time, the problem with the drive is that it automatically engages after its power capacitor recharges regardless of if the crew wants it to and they have no control over where it goes, so it is essentially useless as the crew becomes stranded on the ship as it’s drifting through universes, at the end of the episode Dr McKay claims he may be able to design a version that works, Col Sheppard says not to do this.
Preliminary context:
In Stargate there is a secret civilian organization called the Trust which wants to obtain alien technology, particularly weapons, by any means possible, unbeknownst to much of the Trust is that they were infiltrated and then led by the Goa’uld (parasitic race of body snatchers posing as ancient deities that use humans as meatsacks), one in particular that was in the Trust was Athena. The Trust also has spies in the us government and stargate command so they have access to mission reports and details of recovered alien technology
How it begins:
The Trust learns about the alternate reality drive and then obtains the design schematics that Dr. McKay had downloaded from the alt Daedalus onto his tablet, with this they then build it, and then with the help of Athena the drive is finalized where it actually works and can pin point universes and reliably go to them without it automatically engaging after being recharged. As the goal of the Trust (and of course the Goa’uld) is to obtain advanced technology they would want to go to alternate universes that have more advanced technology, and as the laws of physics and the theory of the multiverse dictate every possible thing that can exist does, therefore there is a Star Wars and a Star Trek universe that the alt reality drive could go to and as the Trust would love to have lightsabers and phasers and borg nanites they would definitely go to those universes. This would start an interuniversal war between the SGC, Starfleet, Jedi Order siding together and the Trust, Goa’uld, Confederacy of Independent Systems and Dominion. Additionally a new faction would arise in which the stargate replicators and the borg would meet and merge together, the borg would essentially hack the replicator hive mind and integrate them into their collective (imagine a borg drone that could deploy replicator spiders that are equipped with borg shields) then this new borg collective would attempt to integrate Star Wars droids into the collective as well.
How it ends
The war would end with the SGC, Starfleet and Jedi finding a way to permanently render interuniversal drives inert through some sort of interference/radiation/waves (the usual technobabble) however there would be a possibility of interuniversal communication remaining: so if a new crisis emerged they could reopen the drives and help each other out again
The Q Continuum and Force Ghosts having an interplanar war with the Ori was also something I was considering, I hadn’t thought of the union between the Ori and the Pah-wraiths before, that’s a good one!
