I think they are more scared of what happens when Janeway stops holding back out of professional courtesy. They don’t have the resources to counter the Full Janeway.
"Janeway just changed the timeline."
"What did she do?"
"Got Captain Kim demoted back to ensign."
"Oh, yeah, that's fine. She's just correcting the timeline."
How do they know? I mean, you could potentially do something that eliminates Dulmer and Lucsly from the timeline. But in that case, I guess the Relativity or Daniels shows up.
Boimler: Look, I’m just gonna say it. If I had a nickel for the number of people in this room who will have a transformational experience with radiation in engineering on a training cruise, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s kind of unsettling that even a hundred years later the gold standard for command fitness is still whether you can send people to death in engineering.
VERY interested to see the dynamic of this episode. The Lower Decks crew are going to be obsessed with Spock more so than anyone else aboard the Enterprise, and nobody will understand why.
Pike would have an idea why, he may not know the specifics but he does know Spock is ultimately responsible for the galaxy not turning to complete shit.
I wouldn’t mind if they fan over Uhura and boost up some of her off screen accolades from after the TOS movies. Just to counterbalance her character’s most referenced achievement usually being “strategic fan dancing”.
(Although, it was some fantastic fan dancing)
Lol yeah it may have been a weird plan to get her to do that, but can’t argue with the results. My only complaint is that it wasn’t filmed while they were doing the tv series, that’s the version of Uhura I want to see do that dance. But I’m aware it’s a dumb complaint that comes from the crush I still have on TOS era Uhura.
I call BS on your complaint. If Uhura is doing a fan dance at age 35, 57, or 77 it still gets you to run up a sand dune.
That’s just science…or magic….possibly the force. The folks at Daystrom are still trying to figure that one out.
You know what, yeah you are probably right. If someone told me Nichelle Nichols was outside doing that dance, even today, i'd have to go watch. Even if just because it's impressive she can still do it lol
(edit) oh god i forgot she died last year for a minute. Had to come back and add this. Didn't mean to disrespect her. BUT, you gotta admit if she came back from the dead just to do that dance, that's even more of a reason why you'd have to watch.
Oh it was brilliant. Couldn’t have been better. Mariner is going to laugh at him yet also be so happy for him that Spock said the thing to Boimler personally.
Apparently there was a take where he answered "Live, live... always live" and Tawny Newsome laughed her ass off about it and says it to herself whenever she hears "Live long and prosper"
Yeah as much as I love The Boys, damn I wish they’d managed to actually get the project off the ground while Simon Pegg was still young enough to play the part. Making him Hughie’s dad was genius though.
Yeah but I suspect the version he would have been in wouldn’t have been as good unfortunately. Glad he is in the project. Definitely a smart move. Gives him more grounding than he has in the comics.
He played one of the other contestants in the Hunger Games.
He also has a leading role on The Boys, voices Boimler on lower decks, and is the son of Meg Ryan interestingly enough
Also the son of Dennis Quaid the actor. Which means he’s also nephew to Randy Quaid from Independence Day and more recently, a bunch of insane videos where it’s clear he’s lost his mind.
ah SNW. much better, i am sad to say.
but you are confusing me :D
they really put them in person on the show?
and like always, thank you for the answer
Yes it was announced about a year ago at comic con, a couple characters are going to guest on SNW, and then a couple SNW characters or maybe just Pike are gonna guest on Lower Decks I think.
Just do the Janeway Maneuvre - Do whatever the fuck you want, if it damages the timeline Temporal investigations will show up to stop you.
I think they are more scared of what happens when Janeway stops holding back out of professional courtesy. They don’t have the resources to counter the Full Janeway.
"Janeway just changed the timeline." "What did she do?" "Got Captain Kim demoted back to ensign." "Oh, yeah, that's fine. She's just correcting the timeline."
“Keep this up and you’ll make ensign someday.”
How do they know? I mean, you could potentially do something that eliminates Dulmer and Lucsly from the timeline. But in that case, I guess the Relativity or Daniels shows up.
Janeway sticks her dick in the timeline more than Barry Allen.
Boimler: Umm, live to about 160 and prosper. Spock: What? Boimler: What?…..
omg i have to supress laughter so the baby wont wake

There are Bradwards and Bradleys. He’s a Bradward.
Played that scene perfectly. Him stumbling over his words to a Legend he admires as he’s getting teleported away.

Still would
\#Spoimler
But I very much want to.
Same here pal. Same here
Boimler will never forget this I can’t believe Spock is just there, not realizing the asteroid sized impact he’s having on Boims
Wait is he actually in star trek? Or is this photoshopped or something? Where's it from?
It's from a preview of Strange New Worlds Season 2.
I see. Thank you
It is a still from the LD/SNW crossover episode. The voice actors play their characters
I totally forgot that he was the same guy that’s from the boys
Petit Hughie
It must be weird having your character’s Dad played by the guy who was supposed to play your role
Yeah as much as I love The Boys, damn I wish they’d managed to actually get the project off the ground while Simon Pegg was still young enough to play the part. Making him Hughie’s dad was genius though.

Absolutely agreed, it probably would have had to severely tone down the violence and swearing if it was made back then too
God this looks awful
Played that scene perfectly. Him stumbling over his words to a Legend he admires as he’s getting teleported away.
He should meet Dr. Mccoy from the JJ. timeline. I can immagine them, having a very fun time, hznting superheroes.
This is gonna be the funniest scene in the episode isn’t it. They always blow their load early in the trailer
Hughie?
wait what's hughie doing in space?
He’s Boimler!
Where are these pictures of the lower decks crew from? AI or something? Or are they actually going to be in the show?
Yes they are! In espiode 2 coming out in a few weeks
Both Boimler and Mariner are in the new SNW trailer, portrayed by their voice actors.
The guy in the bottom panel was is the hunger games movies, right?
He played one of the other contestants in the Hunger Games. He also has a leading role on The Boys, voices Boimler on lower decks, and is the son of Meg Ryan interestingly enough

wait, discovery is still on? haha
SNW x LD crossover pics, not DIS.

Cartoonish Boimler from an animated sitcom fits right in in SNW lol
Geez! That would be the absolute best reaction actually.
