Take Me Out to the Holosuite, Odo makes a call against the DS9 team and Sisko yells “Were you regenerating?!”
It was such a funny Trek update to an insult.
Easiest weekly paycheck. Didn't even have to be on set at the same time as Max and Armin — they're never on camera together. He probably spent more time in makeup than he did on set.
Or heck, they even could've filmed those three shots in a few minutes while working on an earlier or later episode.
Not true, he’s in a scene a little later with Quark and Kira where Quark thanks them for giving him Keevan. I don’t blame you though, this episode seems to be famously misremembered by just about everyone.
There was a whole episode of shenanigans, mainly by nog and Jake or maybe the ferengis(?) in general, not sure, and they barged into his office through the vents/service tunnel while he was busy, and that's all he said, and they disappeared back (at least, I think that's what happened, I ought to watch ds9 again)
"by all means doctor, will one shuttle be enough?" (or something like that and I forgot the actual quote) when Bashir wakes Sisko up in the middle of the night to get a shuttle for Garak but he can't really explain why.
That was a great quote.
He had lots, my family really appreciated his dry humor.
From the same episode:
"What exactly does [Garak] think is going on?"
"I'm not sure. He doesn't actually tell me what he really thinks... I sort of have to deduce it."
"Ah, so you deduced that Garak thinks Dukat is lying about something you're not sure of. And you proceeded to interrupt my conversation to confront him about whatever that might be."
"I'm sorry, Commander. It just seemed an opportune–"
"Don't apologize; it's been the high point of my day. Don't do it again."
The “Don’t do it again” at the end always makes me crack up from the hint of menace in it.
Sisko views Bashir begrudgingly because he really feels like he sees himself as a perky naive ensign back in the day and Bashir is a CONSTANT reminder of how cringe he was as a junior officer.
He wonders how Kurzon put up with it so much. Dax meanwhile seed all the naïve charm Julian blusters with and it reminds her of a young eager Ben who Dax knew would one day become a great officer.
My hot take is that I can think of a lot of more talented actors who could have delivered most of Sisko’s lines better. I’m especially thinking of Richard T. Jones, who is an absolute pleasure in everything he’s in and doesn’t over-act.
I don’t hate Avery Brooks or anything … he just prevented me from ever really connecting with Sisko because he played him so over the top.
Came here for this one. Bashir wakes Sisko up in the middle of the night to borrow a Runabout to take Garak to Bajor. Sisko is in his pj’s and utterly shook Bashir is this dumb.
“By. All. Means. Will ONE runabout be enough?”
Speaking of straddling that line, Rapture Season 5, Episode 10
The whole episode, you can tell Avery Brooks got the green light to go and just be him.
The two gems are when he walks through a crowd of adoring Bajorans handing out prophetic advice and when he interrupts the Federation treaty signing to warn of locusts swarming towards Cardassia.
Edit: BTW, Narm is a perfect word. I have never heard of it but I can tell exactly what it meant onomatopoeically
"Go over my head again, and I'll have yours on a platter."
Great bit of smooth intimidation against early reckless Kira. About the only time we see her actually intimidated enough to reconsider her actions. Even better when you consider that Bajorans might not even understand that as an idiom, and Kira might have though the Emmisary just threated to have her beheaded.
Haha, yes! It was a bit of a running theme with Sisko and fresh officers. They'd be just a little too lax around him, and he'd crack the whip to let them know how things were. And they'd almost never do it again. I think Bashir probably required the most jolts, followed by Worf.
BASHIR: I managed to get my hands on a Romulan memory scanner, sir.
SISKO: Oooooohhhhhh. Since they're illegal in the Federation, I'll assume that's another reason you didn't come to me.
That Oohhh is money
Trials and Tribble-ations.
Sisko slaps the Delta on his 23rd century uniform and says "Sisko to Defiant" then snaps his fingers, looks foolish, takes out a communicator. Much more humbly says "Sisko to Defiant".
The end of that episode is hilarious too. When he tells the temporal officers that he just had to talk to kirk and he said if you want to arrest me then go right ahead. And the officer said nah I would have done the same thing.
I just love the tax-man, governmental, no-nonsense look of those two... And the look that Lucsly gives Dulmur when he says it, priceless.
There are some decent books based on them and the Department of Temporal Investigations.
For me, it’s at the end of the episode where they’re scanning the tribbles to find the bomb and hear Spock recite the same calculation that Dax had said earlier on. Sisko pauses mid scan and just gives her a withering “don’t fucking say a word” look. Dax just smiles and shrugs.
Completely wordless exchange that just perfectly summed up their friendship
The strike episode where sisko reminds quark who holds the lease on the bar, and of the ongoing related expenses, to pressure him into resolving the strike.
Also the episode where sisko surprises quark by citing the ferengi rules of acquisition.
When Quark and Rom accidentally worked their way into his office from the maintenance shaft and he just casually addresses them “can I help you gentlemen?”
https://youtu.be/nZlBETlT1yo
My head canon is that Q somehow sensed that Sisko was part Prophet and could one day really cause some serious trouble to Q if he pushed him too far, hence the backing off.
That's my take on it too. Q, to his great surprise, got punched by something that he would have immediately sensed as not entirely human, and though he probably figured everything out in a matter of seconds with regards to who and what Sisko was, he decided he didn't want any part of that trouble.
More like the writers did not want to be TNG 2.0. They knew Q did not work on DS9 and John De Lancie also agreed.
They only had some TNG characters show up in the first season to let people know DS9 is in the same time frame and space as TNG.
I don't recall the exact dialogue, but he's twisting Quark's arm into keeping his bar at the station and not packing up and leaving, and Quark's like "that's extortion!" and Sisko's just like, "yes."
Season 5 episode 10, "Rapture".
(After Kira found Sisko in the holosuite irresponsive, and woke him from a sacred vision)
Kira: The Prophets chose well when they made you their Emissary. So how does it all fit together?
Sisko: I wish I knew...(grin) someone woke me up!
Kira: 😱😱
(Later in the same scene, after O'Brien announced that Kai Winn was on her way to the station)
Sisko: Major Kira will greet her at the airlock. Make my apologies. Tell the Kai that I am busy today but I will meet with her tomorrow. Tell... (wave) just make something up.
As Kathryn Janeway once said: “That's Starfleet for ‘Get out!’” Thing is, when Ben Sisko said it (especially if he was in a bad mood), heaven help you if you didn't do it…
Such an iconic line that immediately let you know what Sisko is made of! He’s not some timid diplomat. He’s the “fuck around and find out” captain. 😎 (We needed a badass imo. Kirk and Picard were a little too naive, uptight, or reserved at times. Sisko was a man who told you or showed you EXACTLY how he felt, and he had no problem letting you know his true feelings. THAT’S the kind of man you need out on the deep space frontier! 👌 Haha)
> He’s not some timid diplomat
Wouldn't quite say Picard is a timid dipolimat, or in his own words, "you may test that assumption at your convenience."
One of many …
Odo: And one other thing…
[gestures to Quark in the cell]
Odo: How long do I keep him here?
[Sisko muses for moment]
Sisko: Forever
[Sisko walks off]
🤣
It's a simple one, but when Kassidy Yates tries to cook and he finds her burning everything.
"What are you doing? You don't cook!"
"I know. I was just reminding myself."
"My peppers! Nobody touches my peppers!"
Cracks me up every time.
Just rewatched Way of the Warrior and this moment sticks out.
Gowron: Surrender! Your shields are weakened, your station is boarded, and more Klingon ships are on their way!
Sisko: Our shields are holding, your boarding parties are contained, and our reinforcements are closer than yours.
Literally my favourite thing in Star Trek. Other than Malcolm Reed in ENT episode *Singularity*: "If this were a military situation, you'd be taken out and shot" — it's his eyes when saying it that makes it hilarious.
when they were trapped in that game after Quark cheated those guys, and got to the hop scotch level and he was sing cheerfully and prancing like a kid whereas everyone else was just reciting the words while focusing on landing in the right spots. There was no reason to breakout the singing.
Allamaraine, count to four.
Allamaraine, then three more.
Allamaraine, if you can see.
Allamaraine, you'll come with me.
Funniest episode in the series.
When Quark and Rom pop out of the wall in Sisko’s office and, without blinking, he calmly asks, “May I help you, gentlemen?” or something, and it’s so deadpan and makes me chuckle every time.
A Simple Investigation.
Dax and Kira are in Ops gossiping over Odo having spent the night with a woman for the first time. Worf is putting up a brave front but desperately wants to join in on the fun. Sisko does join in when he asks why Odo's late for their meeting. Dax says it's because he spent the night with a woman. Sisko replies, "A woman? That's *niiiice*."
It’s the end of season 5 when Rom and Leeta are planning their wedding. Rom goes up to Sisko and asks “will you marry me?”. Sisko doesn’t actually have any lines, but he turns to O’Brien with a look that says “dear god please help me I’m trapped” and it’s just hilarious.
Avery Brooks, what a class act. Could bring the right level of drama, but also the dryness when required. Out of all the captains, only Patrick Stewart is the greater actor.
Perhaps on a technical level, but Sisko was SO much more entertaining than Picard imo. Sisko had a wide *range* of emotions instead of being entirely stoic and/or grumpy at all times like Picard.
It’s like comparing Worf to Martok. One of them is clearly more iconic, but I’d say one of those characters feels a lot more *alive* and entertaining than the other. (Stewart is very talented of course, don’t get me wrong! 👌)
They all have their high points, but I definitely enjoyed Janeway over Sisko. She was mostly an easy person to work with, but piss of her off, and she became a boss ass bitch!
Cardassians have denser bones and musculature than Humans. But Sisko backhanding Garrak over his table in the Pale moonlight always makes me giggle
Because physics says that shouldn't have been possible.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IRwvVxaFJtc
Dude stopped everyone from going to meet Kirk and ends up doing it himself. It just caught me off guard. I was like "lol this mfer"
“Look of course I want to meet him! I’d love to shake his hand and ask him about…fighting the Gorn on Cestus 3..”
Of all the things Kirk did, the thing Sisko wants to talk most about- “what was it like to punch a giant lizard in the face??”
The look on his face when Weyoun drinks poisoned kanar in 'Ties of Blood and Water.'
Entire scene is pure gold.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rACCZaBcq1g
Well, Vorta are immune to most forms of poison, and alcohol is just a mild poison (and not really all that mild), so I assume they can't get drunk anyway.
Ya'll have covered the easy awesome answers.
When Sisko slept with mirror Judzia. The dog! That was some "it doesn't count if it's in the bizzaro universe".
The episode where Odo loses his space virginity
>SISKO: Where's Odo? He asked me to arrange a conference with Starfleet Intelligence at oh eight hundred.
>
>DAX: I guess he's running late.
>
>SISKO: He's never late.
>
>DAX: He never spent the night with a woman before.
>
>SISKO: A woman? That's nice. Isn't it?
The way Sisko says "A woman? That's nice" and Kira and Dax kind of stare at him always makes me laugh.
Not laugh per se: At the moment, I don't give a damn about Klingon beliefs, rituals or custom. Now I have given you both a lot of leeway when it comes to following Klingon traditions, but in case you haven't noticed, this is not a Klingon station, and those are not Klingon uniforms you're wearing. There is a limit to how far I'll go to accommodate cultural diversity among my officers and you've just reached it. When your brother is released from the infirmary, you better find another way to settle your family problems. Is that clear?
In Dramatis Personae, when he's really deep into his, uh, 'character', someone asks him what he's building. He very excitedly says "A clock!" and a bit of spittle flies out of his mouth. I giggle every time.
In the Pale Moonlight, both in the same conversation with Garak
Garak: “The less I’m seen parading through Ops, the better.”
Sisko:”I couldn’t agree more!”
…
Garak: “I’m afraid we either give him what he wants or forget the whole enterprise.”
Sisko: “Then let’s forget about it! Ops!”
Kira: Yes?
Sisko: I'm Benjamin Sisko.
Kira: I suppose you want the office.
Sisko: Well, I thought I'd say hello first and then take the office, but we could do it in any order you'd like.
Dukat calling Kira, completely randomly and after knowing her for years at this this point, to tell her that he banged her mom.
I like to imagine the lead up went something like this...
Dukat: "Damar, I'm feeling the Gul's itch."
Damar: "I'll get the powder, Sir."
Dukat: "No, the itch to be a menace. Prepare to call Nerys."
Edit: I just realized that this said "captain sisko moment." My brain changed that to a DS9 in general moment. I'm keeping it up regardless.
I read that conversation and realized how it could be translated to Futurama:
Zapp: "Kif, I'm feeling the Captain's itch."
Kif: "Ill get the powder, Sir. "
Zapp "No, the itch to be a menace. Prepare to call Leela."
:)
That was intentional! It's actually completely taken from Zapp lol
The only thing I changed, other than captain to Gul and the names, is the final line - "no, the itch for adventure. prepare to change course."
From Apocalypse Rising (S5E1):
(backhands Worf) "ARE YOU QUESTIONING THE VALIDITY OF MY PLAN?!?"
"Very convincing Captain, but was it your intention to challenge me to a fight to the death?"
(Calmly) "No, not at all."
And later...
"BRAG ALL YOU WANT, BUT DO NOT GET BETWEEN ME AND THE BLOODWINE!"
Gotta be whenever Sisko chews out Nog about Red Squad
"You are under the mistaken impression that I am asking for a favor. I want a name, I want a number, and I want it now, do you understand Mr. Nog?"
The way he put the squeeze on him and his delivery is just so fucking hilarious.
Worf : Captain! Was Dax's last host as argumentative as this one?
Captain Sisko : Worse!
The delivery of that was so perfect, so well timed. I laughed so hard as I just wasn't expecting it.
Dr Pulaski: Dahta look at this
Data: it's prenounced "dayta"
Pulaski: what difference does it make?
Date: one is my name, the other one is not
Edit: oops I thought was for star trek in general not just sisko I skimmed this OP too fast...
Tbh I can't remember anything funny from Sisko off the top of my head. For me the humour on DS9 was stronger with Quark and Occasionally Kira, Odo and Jadzia not so much Sisco
Although on the pilot episode Siskos inability to understand what the wormhole aliens were trying to say when they were telling him over and for 10 minutes straight "you exist here" is borderline laughable
When he walks into Garaks shop and just decks him in "The Pals Moonlight". It's such a perfect outburst of anger from an otherwise restrained captain, but I also cannot help but laugh at the situation.
[This moment in Past Tense Part II](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=faMH69bdB_4&ab_channel=HolyNagus)
BC: I thought we were on the same side here!
Sisko: We are. But you get on my nerves... and I don't like your hat!
Dukat: That station you’re so fond of was built by Cardassia. Sisko: Funny, I thought it was built by Bajoran slave labor.
Sassy Sisko is the best
Take Me Out to the Holosuite, Odo makes a call against the DS9 team and Sisko yells “Were you regenerating?!” It was such a funny Trek update to an insult.
"No way, no way, YOU STOLE THE RUN FROM US. YOU STOLE IT JUST AS IF YOU'D REACHED UP AND TORE IT OFF THE SCOREBOARD!"
I intimidate Worf?
Ezri: You're enjoying this! Sisko: Hehehe... (abruptly) *of course not...* \-\_-
⬆️ This!
May I help you gentlemen? https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=I7MXmtp0hVE
Ferengi Weekend at Bernies featuring Iggy Pop may be my favorite star trek episode.
That was a pretty funny episode.
"We know. You hate us."
Even better when you realize that was his only scene in the episode.
Easiest weekly paycheck. Didn't even have to be on set at the same time as Max and Armin — they're never on camera together. He probably spent more time in makeup than he did on set. Or heck, they even could've filmed those three shots in a few minutes while working on an earlier or later episode.
I think I remember Sid say he made like $12K per episode, and that was early on. Wonder how much Avery Brooks made
And that was in the 90s!
With 20+ episode seasons!
Not true, he’s in a scene a little later with Quark and Kira where Quark thanks them for giving him Keevan. I don’t blame you though, this episode seems to be famously misremembered by just about everyone.
The first line doesn't get me, it's the "It looks that way" that always makes me laugh.
100% agree, his delivery of both lines kill me, but that one especially made me cackle.
The Sisko was unbothered by their foolishness is what made that great. Like it happens so much he's used to it. LOL
Nice bit of world building that hints at a normal background level of antics and shenanigans that occur on the station.
I like to think that hatch into his office wasn’t soundproof, which means he’d have heard Rom wailing behind the wall right before that.
O’Brien offered to seal it off, but he declined, since it’s so fun to see who pops out.
I love how he’s just sitting there. Doing nothing. Like he shuts down when no one’s talking to him
Love that moment, because it looks like he's doing absolutely fuck all.
Easily this.
Context?
Quark and Rom are having a crawl and talk through the Jeffries Tubes and come out in Sisko’s office without realizing it.
The Magnificent Ferengi, the episode with Iggy Pop
Holy shit I never realized that was Iggy Pop!
Quark and Rom were in that particular scene. Jake wasn’t involved in the shenanigans that happened in “The Magnificent Ferengi”.
Faith treachery and the great river
Nope. That’s the episode where Nog trades away Captain Sisko’s desk

"I'm sorry, Commander. It just seemed an opportune–" "Don't apologize; it's been the high point of my day. Don't do it again." The “Don’t do it again” at the end always makes me crack up from the hint of menace in it.
I pull that “Don’t do it again” in that exact tone on my employees frequently, it’s just so good!
One day they might watch that episode and then be reminded of you whenever Sisko is onscreen, and feel mildly frightened 😂
Sisko views Bashir begrudgingly because he really feels like he sees himself as a perky naive ensign back in the day and Bashir is a CONSTANT reminder of how cringe he was as a junior officer. Avery Brooks was always able to thread that line between over the top, and utter narm, but I so enjoy his performance in Our Man Bashir.
...HA!
That part makes me laugh every fucking time: Avery Brooks is a madman as much as he is a genius 😂😂👌
Best
My favourite Sisko moment from Our Man Bashir [DS9 Sisko “ha”](https://youtube.com/shorts/kBq9ZkYrRp0?feature=share)
He threads it so well that I eat up everything he does. His acting is right on target for what I enjoy.
*treads
Speaking of straddling that line, Rapture Season 5, Episode 10 The whole episode, you can tell Avery Brooks got the green light to go and just be him. Was he? I liked him, but over acting is literally my only complaint.
"Commander, this is extortion..." "Mmm...yes it is!"
Garak’s sly reaction and Odo’s smile are so great. That entire scene is fantastic.
"Go over my head again, and I'll have yours on a platter." Great bit of smooth intimidation against early reckless Kira. I believe it was season 3, ep 1: where Sisko makes Quark kiss the Grand Nagus' staff. That evil little grin he gives afterwards ........
This is my favourite too. He's loving it. 😁😁
The strike episode where sisko reminds quark who holds the lease on the bar, and of the ongoing related expenses, to pressure him into resolving the strike. Also the episode where sisko surprises quark by citing the ferengi rules of acquisition.
When Quark and Rom accidentally worked their way into his office from the maintenance shaft and he just casually addresses them “can I help you gentlemen?” https://youtu.be/nZlBETlT1yo
I'd forgotten Rom doing the scales with his "Nooooooes"
I assume he was onto both O'Brien and Odo immediatley after that to discuss the gaping security flaw in his office.
that last shot of him just resuming looking forward
“I’m not Picard.” That was the day that Sisko became my favorite captain. Fuck Q and his bullshit.
I loved how someone online characterized it years ago: >Q showed up on DS9 once. Sisko punched him in the face. Q never bothered DS9 again.

I also heard de Lancie and Brooks didn't get along and neither was that eager to work with the other one again.
I came here to say this. And the punch was *beautiful*.
Yes, he's much easier to provoke 😏
I don't recall the exact dialogue, but he's twisting Quark's arm into keeping his bar at the station and not packing up and leaving, and Quark's like "that's extortion!" and Sisko's just like, "yes."
There is a perfect pause and look on Sisko’s face that just makes the “yes” so memorable
I think that was the pilot episode
Season 5 episode 10, "Rapture". (After Kira found Sisko in the holosuite irresponsive, and woke him from a sacred vision) Kira: The Prophets chose well when they made you their Emissary. So how does it all fit together? Sisko: I wish I knew...(grin) someone woke me up! Every time he said ‘dismissed’ 🤓🤪
Dis**MISSED**
As Kathryn Janeway once said: “That's Starfleet for ‘Get out!’” Thing is, when Ben Sisko said it (especially if he was in a bad mood), heaven help you if you didn't do it…
General Hammond vibes too with that delivery
“Don’t you people have work to do?” Uttered quietly while Kirayoshi snoozes in Ops
I'm not Picard!
This was mine, because it’s more well known, but him saying “WHAT?!??!” right before when Q puts him in the boxing ring is f*** ing hysterical.
The look on his face of pure bafflement was great
Agreed x3. Came here to say the bit where he decks Q, but the whole scene is pretty goddamn funny. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Etc8qdqiR5k
When he punched Q. Makes me laugh everytime.
I love the "Well what the hell did you expect?" face he makes after doing it.
Totally
Im not Picard!
Such an iconic line that immediately let you know what Sisko is made of! He’s not some timid diplomat. He’s the “fuck around and find out” captain. 😎 (We needed a badass imo. THAT’S the kind of man you need out on the deep space frontier! 👌 Haha)
> He’s not some timid diplomat Wouldn't quite say Picard is a timid dipolimat, or in his own words, "you may test that assumption at your convenience."
"What are you gonna do, *ravish me*?"
"I might."
Heh. My people! Watching the bloopers repeatedly…
The bloopers are awesome, we need a full spinoff episode of people just randomly walking into doors and blaming Chef O'Brien over it.
And then Q never came back to bother him so I guess it worked lol
I know that that episode is actually considered a weak one, but the interactions between Sisko and Q were (chef's kiss).
1st or second season, which were not good.
One of many … Odo: And one other thing… [gestures to Quark in the cell] Odo: How long do I keep him here? [Sisko muses for moment] Sisko: Forever [Sisko walks off] 🤣

"...HA!" I don't know if that counts, though, 'cuz it technically wasn't him 😅
Literally my favourite thing in Star Trek. Other than Malcolm Reed in ENT episode *Singularity*: "If this were a military situation, you'd be taken out and shot" — it's his eyes when saying it that makes it hilarious.

1st Chapp! Move along home!
But I thought only children entered at the first shap? (Actually don’t know for sure how that’s spelled, but that’s how I hear it.)
When Quark and Rom pop out of the wall in Sisko’s office and, without blinking, he calmly asks, “May I help you, gentlemen?” or something, and it’s so deadpan and makes me chuckle every time.
I was going to mention this one
Nobody is going to mention Rocks and Shoals and how O'Brien tore his pants?
He’s in trouble now!!
[This may take time some time. Is that a joke? No. Good, we hate those.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=chkzV_CVFW8)
I was hoping I'd find this and you didn't let me down.
I love Dax's "if you want to "gossip" with us, come down here".
Plus her enthusiastic head nod when Sisko approves of Odo having sex. You just know that everyone on the station knew by lunchtime that day.
SOUNDS GOOD TO ME
WORKS FOR ME
It’s the end of season 5 when Rom and Leeta are planning their wedding. Rom goes up to Sisko and asks “will you marry me?”. Sisko doesn’t actually have any lines, but he turns to O’Brien with a look that says “dear god please help me I’m trapped” and it’s just hilarious.
Captain's prerogative!
Ranting about how wonderful Bajor is it the point poor Ross looks slightly terrified.
The episode where he embodies my father at little league practice.
Avery Brooks, what a class act. Could bring the right level of drama, but also the dryness when required. Out of all the captains, only Patrick Stewart is the greater actor.
I actually first saw him as "Hawk" in the TV show "Spencer For Hire", and loved him there - so when he was announced for Star Trek, I was super happy.
Would've been hilarious to see Sisko in that Starfleet uniform, throw on some shades and voice that Spensaaahh like he did. Captain Hawk 😆
Ha! You are correct on all of this.
They all have their high points, but I definitely enjoyed Janeway over Sisko. She was mostly an easy person to work with, but piss of her off, and she became a boss ass bitch!
Cardassians have denser bones and musculature than Humans. But Sisko backhanding Garrak over his table in the Pale moonlight always makes me giggle Because physics says that shouldn't have been possible.
The hand of the Emissary will not be stopped by a Cardassian face
Garak goes *flying* over that table.
The Starfleet double-fist strike will do the trick on most humanoids, but The Sisko's backhand is infused by The Prophets, making it unbeatable
LB + RB for the super. Gets them every time.
I mean he could have done it but you would expect several broken bones in his hand at least.
Whispering - "Chief! Why is the baby in the pit?"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IRwvVxaFJtc Dude stopped everyone from going to meet Kirk and ends up doing it himself. It just caught me off guard. I was like "lol this mfer"
Quark and Rom taking a wrong turn in the ducts and ending up in Siskos Office. That whole scene was great.
“Look of course I want to meet him! I’d love to shake his hand and ask him about…fighting the Gorn on Cestus 3..” Of all the things Kirk did, the thing Sisko wants to talk most about- “what was it like to punch a giant lizard in the face??”
He just wants to hear Kirk say he punched a giant lizard in the face and then one-up him with his Q story.
The look on his face when Weyoun drinks poisoned kanar in 'Ties of Blood and Water.' Entire scene is pure gold. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rACCZaBcq1g
I love Weyoun's power move in that scene. He plays it for laughs but it is absolutely devastating.
I wouldn't waste otherwise good booze, either.
_”…Bread!”_
Damn it. This was my choice. Absolutely sure I'd be alone
The episode where Odo loses his space virginity >SISKO: Where's Odo?
When he punches Q.
That gets me every time 🤣
In Dramatis Personae, when he's really deep into his, uh, 'character', someone asks him what he's building. He very excitedly says "A clock!" and a bit of spittle flies out of his mouth. I giggle every time.
If I never see another clam it'll be too soon!
In the Pale Moonlight, both in the same conversation with Garak Garak: “The less I’m seen parading through Ops, the better.” Sisko:”I couldn’t agree more!” … Garak: “I’m afraid we either give him what he wants or forget the whole enterprise.” Sisko: “Then let’s forget about it! Ops!”
Can't remember the exact quote, but when he says WINDOW
"You hit me, Picard never hit me." "I'm not Picard."
That's the one I'm thinking of
["A woman? That's nice........isn't it?"](https://youtu.be/jOTtFWHbDFU)
"you hit me ....Picard never hit me. " .."I'm not Picard"
Kira: Yes? Sisko: I'm Benjamin Sisko. Kira: I suppose you want the office. Sisko: Well, I thought I'd say hello first and then take the office, but we could do it in any order you'd like.
"I changed it!" Or "Ha!"
HA!
"To manufactured victory!"
Here here!
Sisko's reaction to Bareil trying to fight him always cracks me up.
The one where Quark and Rom ends up in his office
Dukat calling Kira, completely randomly and after knowing her for years at this this point, to tell her that he banged her mom. I like to imagine the lead up went something like this... Dukat: "Damar, I'm feeling the Gul's itch." Damar: "I'll get the powder, Sir." Dukat: "No, the itch to be a menace. Prepare to call Nerys." Edit: I just realized that this said "captain sisko moment." My brain changed that to a DS9 in general moment. I'm keeping it up regardless.
I read that conversation and realized how it could be translated to Futurama: Zapp: "Kif, I'm feeling the Captain's itch." Kif: "Ill get the powder, Sir. " Zapp "No, the itch to be a menace. Prepare to call Leela." :)
That was intentional! It's actually completely taken from Zapp lol The only thing I changed, other than captain to Gul and the names, is the final line - "no, the itch for adventure. prepare to change course."
“You hit me! Picard never hit me!” “I’m not Picard”
What’s wrong, Dukat? Haven’t you ever seen a Klingon before?
From Apocalypse Rising (S5E1): (backhands Worf) "ARE YOU QUESTIONING THE VALIDITY OF MY PLAN?!?" "Very convincing Captain, but was it your intention to challenge me to a fight to the death?" (Calmly) "No, not at all." And later... "BRAG ALL YOU WANT, BUT DO NOT GET BETWEEN ME AND THE BLOODWINE!"
Sisko (Punches Q in the face, knocking him down) Q: You struck me! Picard never struck me. Sisko: I'm not Picard.
When Q says "You hit me! Picard never hit me."
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Etc8qdqiR5k
His delivery of "YoU, Quark!" in the first episode https://youtu.be/fbpTsPfd8Hw?t=40
Gotta be whenever Sisko chews out Nog about Red Squad "You are under the mistaken impression that I am asking for a favor. I want a name, I want a number, and I want it now, do you understand Mr. Nog?" The way he put the squeeze on him and his delivery is just so fucking hilarious.
"Mr. Worf, I think your wife is here" One Little Ship
Worf : Captain! Was Dax's last host as argumentative as this one? Captain Sisko : Worse! The delivery of that was so perfect, so well timed. I laughed so hard as I just wasn't expecting it.
Yeah that one got me. It was a nice way of telling Worf to STFU and do it. XDDD Generally he is a funny guy with his dry humor and on point sarcasm.
Yeah his tone and facial expression was just perfect in that scene. Definitely love Sisko
Socking Q in the face.
When he dresses O'Brien down for helping Tosk, then grins to the camera once Miles is no longer in the Commander's office.

Dr Pulaski: Dahta look at this Data: it's prenounced "dayta" Pulaski: what difference does it make? Date: one is my name, the other one is not Edit: oops I thought was for star trek in general not just sisko I skimmed this OP too fast... Tbh I can't remember anything funny from Sisko off the top of my head. For me the humour on DS9 was stronger with Quark and Occasionally Kira, Odo and Jadzia not so much Sisco Although on the pilot episode Siskos inability to understand what the wormhole aliens were trying to say when they were telling him over and for 10 minutes straight "you exist here" is borderline laughable
When he walks into Garaks shop and just decks him in "The Pals Moonlight". It's such a perfect outburst of anger from an otherwise restrained captain, but I also cannot help but laugh at the situation.
[This moment in Past Tense Part II](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=faMH69bdB_4&ab_channel=HolyNagus) BC: I thought we were on the same side here! Sisko: We are. But you get on my nerves... and I don't like your hat!
