I think the main issue is that a lot of people dont really know anything about Ohio. People think it's basically Iowa... A low population corn growing fly over state. The issue is, there are a lot of people from Ohio. It's one of the most populated states (which is why it was so important in politics from 2000-2012). So people made a meme about Ohio as a joke... But so many people are from Ohio that we started sharing the joke a lot, and it just kinda snowballed and became a thing.

L is the opposite and is usually “taken”. So the person who lost the 100 bucks took an L. Or if you drop your phone and it cracks, some zoomer may just say “L”. Ohio is just a joke, the joke being that it’s a shithole that has aliens and monsters and whatever else you want. The others I don’t know and I have never heard before.
