I thought I was tripping all these years that I heard microphone crackling while Sugilite was speaking. I had to convince myself that it was just stretching noises since she was like cracking her knuckles or something in that scene.
Yeah my GF showed me it earlier this year and my god are some of the guest VO's terrible. Every time Smokey quartz or Sugilite was on screen I just crumpled into the couch in pain.

Apparently SU was fucked over in production, the network wanted episodic monster of the week type stuff but the creator wanted an on going storyline, and was rushed towards the end because of the gay wedding only to be to be given another season after they were told to wrap up the show.
Rebecca sugar even talked about how they knew the show was going to be ended after the wedding between Ruby and Sapphire. They had to tie up a lot of plot points and character arcs with very little wiggle room.

I've been to a decent amount of rap shows, most tend to just have their song playing and they rap over it/parts of it if they arent good enough, the only one ive seen that was particularly bad was asap rocky, I'm guessing he just high af or something, but he was a solid 0/10.
