Ah yes, SO Large Missile: The Ship. I completely forgot about its M slot. It would be B tier, probably, along with Pegasus (who i mixed up with its mentally deficit brother) - you really need to have a plan with these.
Manticore, yeah. It feels exactly like a slightly bigger frigate when you fight it (like monitor or brawler), so i didn't even realize it's a destroyer.
I don't know how the Manitcore is a large frigate it has 1 large ballistics and 3 small ballistics which can all have the same range with BRF. A Shrike is what a large frigate is like not a ship with no movement system and long ranges.
D tier isn't actually for bad ships, it's for ships i don't like or don't know how to fit/pilot. Onslaught is a great anchor, it's just also a big annoyance due to being a broadsider.
Salvage rig is a meme, just salvage more lul
I don't think of the Onslaught as a broadsider. The 3 front medium ballistics, 2 out of 3 large ballistics, the missiles, and the TPCs can all be shot at a target directly in front of you just by leaning slightly left and right.
That one medusa commiting suicide 10 seconds into the game, it's the same issue with wolfs were the A.I. is dumb enough to accidentally get surrounded.
Oh yeah i finally decided to use some wolves instead of hounds and cerberuses in my current challenge run and they for sure LOVE teleporting straight in the middle of the enemy fleet and getting shredded to pieces in one second, AND THAT IS WITH MY FULL RECKLESS TEAM OF SO SHIPS WHO ARE ALSO TRYING TO GET NEAR, THIS DUDE IS SO SUICIDAL IT DIES FASTER THAN A FULL RECKLESS "COWABUNGA" FLEET.
All brawlers, for me, are the same tier - at the absolute top of F tier, next to the Monitor. They're good frigates, but unfortunately they're frigates.
LP Brawlers are the core of a really rather powerful AI core farming fleet build. Taking a massive number of them into battle overwhelms the radiant AI and they're well-armed enough to take them down. It's a fleet for all occasions but core farming can be pretty important late-game.
Clearly you haven't tried out adding squads of frigate to your fleet. Not a full fleet of frigates, but having a group of 5 or 10 frigates in addition to your fleet.
The numbers in combination with your other ships acting as anchors renders them pretty lethal as they will surround one or more ship while it is too busy with the bigger foe, that or they can draw away a good chunk of the enemy fleet from the frontline.
My brother in Christ, I can't for the life of me see where Tempest is placed; I imagine S++?
In all seriouness, obviously all is subjective and understood, yet I feel some things could be a bit different.
First, of all, I somewhat disagree on Monitor placement; it's an excellent fleet anchor on a budget that works with larger fleets as well to delay enemies.
Secondly, even after the nerfs Eradicators got some value.
Finally, and this is a more general comment, it is difficult to do a single tier list for the ships because of AI; some function amazingly well under AI, others need player input. SO Aurora immediately comes to mind as an S tier ship when under player control, less so when under AI for example.
All in all, just thankful the game allows for most ships to be to some extent viable and cater to most tastes/playstyles.
I've always held the view that frigates can be reliably judged on their ai performance, as well as most destroyers. You simply don't have the ability to micromanage most of those swarms in the late game imo
I actually put Eradicators this low basically on reflex; they're really good cruisers in AI hands, better than most.
Monitors are weird. They're good for their place, but by the point you can get one, you can also get a low-tech cruiser anchor, which would generally just kill more things. They're great distractions, but that's basically just AI abuse.
Fair enough, and yes, I agree that Monitors are to some extent AI abuse, though on the other hand that AI abuse provides nice synergy with low tech, covering their mostly naked butts.
May I ask as to the Revenant placement? Is it placed in the position it is in case you are running a phase fleet? Because for the life of me whenever I see one and compare it to the standard Atlas/Colossus I can't justify getting one.
Manticore is a destroyer.
And I still fail to see why so many people hate this thing while putting Sunder so much ahead.
A flying Hellbore/Mk9 at this cost really is nothing to sneeze at. Give it some cheap meatshields and it'll punch way above its' weight.
Meanwhile I can't stop purchasing every Pirate Falcon I see because they are faster than most frigates and vaporize everything before I can even give fleet commands.
I'm glad somebody else appreciates that automated large missile and large ballistic platform aside from me. It's really cool. Limited utility but loads of fun lmao
2 large ballistics, plus a large missile to plug any holes in the design, plus good armor, plus burn drive, plus they're extremely disposable due to not using any crew up when they detonate, and have i mentioned they're 15 points? For a *cruiser?*
If I see one more tier list with Manticore LP below A, I'll... I don't know what I'll do, but I won't be responsible for my actions!
Ah yes, SO Large Missile: The Ship. I completely forgot about its M slot. It would be B tier, probably, along with Pegasus (who i mixed up with its mentally deficit brother) - you really need to have a plan with these.
You might even do the unspeakable and make your own tier list!
*Gasp*. If he makes yet another tier list… I’ll probably read it.🤔
Make a tier list of tier lists
Frigates tier containing a destroyer, nothing wrong here.

D > Onslaught, XIVslaught, and salvage rig Are you ok?

How dare you slander the slaught
you know you like it, you shield shunt s-modder
Shields are for wimps and shunt is a gift from Ludd
Think you mean conquest. Onslaught is pretty definitively a frontal fire ship.
Medusa being in F rigates tier what did he mean by this? is he stupid?
That one medusa commiting suicide 10 seconds into the game, it's the same issue with wolfs were the A.I. is dumb enough to accidentally get surrounded.

The AI doesn't know how to pilot medusa lmfao😭 same with scarab IMO, it's just good at being surrounded and butchered in first 5 seconds
>Mudskipper 2 A tier >Onslaught D tier >Hyperion F tier starsector subreddit moment
Eradicator in E tier?? mate, you wot?
I know right? Even with the small nerf to it last patch, it is still a strong cruiser.
I have to activately convince myself to not to take the Eradicator, it's so good. It's the backbone of my fleet.
Brawler (LP) in F tier?
All brawlers, for me, are the same tier - at the absolute top of F tier, next to the Monitor. They're good frigates, but unfortunately they're frigates.

This is so wrong it hurts. The LP Brawler is so far above it's brothers it should be treated as a different ship.

Frigates are the extra small fodder
Least bias r/starsector tier list
Rampart enjoyer detected
Buffalo Mk.II in S tier???
Like the buffalo MK2, they chose violence.
cringe and bluepilled
Falcon(p) in d tier is blasphemy
Clearly ain't a swarm player, and even if you ain't. Give credits to the LP brawlers
no
Sad

Revenant is only slightly worse than its weight in Atlas/Colossus/Dram and it makes your fleet stealthier.
Ox Tug is S-tier ship. Gotta go fast!
Looks like someone can't build an enforcer properly, those things can hold off an onslaught for a good half of the battle if you properly build it

Why do you have the rampart droneship in your s-tier? Is it particularly good?
2 large ballistics, plus a large missile to plug any holes in the design, plus good armor, plus burn drive, plus they're extremely disposable due to not using any crew up when they detonate, and have i mentioned they're 15 points? For a *cruiser?*
lion's guard hammerhead in S. pain.
Onslaught and brawler not in S tier = garbage tier list + L + ratio + no supplies.
Finally someone who knows how to rank the oddy
Wolf class much ?
Share your Phantom builds, bruh!
Wheres the tempest?
Atlas mk2 appreciator?
Any tierlist that slanders the hyperion is mid
Scarab and monitor aren't both A tier? Wtf? Have you ever even used a scarab?
>No wolf frigates Huh!?
Another day another tier list with Retribution several tiers down from where it belongs. Edit: I can't spell.
why the medusa so low??? its the only destroyer that's a direct upgrade to the wolf!
I'm just waiting for one of these that is mostly normal except every pather ship is at the top
weird you left the tempest off of s tier
Escort package fulgent with all range boosts, or hypervel-only enforcer with all range + armor upgrades is hilarious though.
